This is an extremely charming, one bedroom apartment located in a beautiful 18th century building on the Rue de Seine in the 6th arrondissement in Paris. The apartment has beamed ceilings and two large windows facing the courtyard, making it extremely quiet.

There are 2 twin beds put together in the bedroom, one full bathroom with a large stall shower, sink, and toilet, and another bathroom with just a bathtub and a sink. The sofas in the living room are also quite comfortable for sleeping, so two people can sleep in separate rooms if needed. The apartment was recently renovated so the bathrooms and finishes are relatively new. There is a large TV, Wifi, DVD player, and an internet phone that provides free calls to the USA. There is no elevator but the apartment is located one flight up and it is an easy walk up.

Rue de Seine is a lively, fashionable street, lined with art galleries, cafes, and food stores. It is a 5 minute walk from the Blvd Saint-Germain and the River Seine. It is a "dream" location in Paris. Payment may be made by personal check or via Paypal.

Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 6

Even though everyone thought he was crazy, my father bought this apartment in Paris in 1983. It was a total wreck but in a wonderful location in a beautiful building. His French is not great but that didn't stop him. He had the apartment completely renovated. About 6 years ago, he succeeded in buying the hallway that was adjacent to our apartment and we were able to connect the two and greatly enlarge the apartment. The apartment was totally renovated again at that time. It's been so great having a place like this to go to whenever airfares are low. I would rather stay in this apartment than any of the great hotels in Paris. It's just a terrific experience.

The Unique Benefits at this Apartment

I can take advantage of all the wonderful food stores on the Rue de Seine and Rue de Buci and have some delicious meals in the apartment.

    • We had a lovely holiday in this cozy apartment. Everything necessary for a comfortable stay is provided and it is very secure. The location is great; metro stations are within easy walking distance. Hundreds of eating places around the apartment and an interesting place to walk around after dinner. We bought a four-day museum pass which was exhausting but well worth it! Hope to be back soon!

    • The Rue du Buci apartment is in the ideal location - a 10 - 15 minute walk to many cultural sites (Le Louvre, Notre Dame, St. Chapelle, d'Orsay, de Cluny); a 5 minute walk to the Paris Metro; a 10 minute walk to the train to the airports or Versailles. The neighborhood is charming with little cafes, old churches, quays along the Seine to stroll and a supermarket. We were comfortable going out to take an evening stroll and watch the locals. This modern apartment is not huge but had everything we needed from internet access to checkup on the kids back home to plenty of tour books/guides of Paris. We were happy to find that the apartment was very quiet, in the back, overlooking a courtyard. Shelly was very easy to work with and helpful on our first trip to the City of Light. We have rented apartments outside the US a few times and can highly recommend this apartment. Joan & Bruce Blondina
