  Convenient to Yosemite, with plenty of room for active families. We enjoyed our stay at this cabin, and were pleasantly surprised by the sparkling and well-stocked kitchen. A couple of things we didn't love: The main bathroom, particularly the shower, is very small and very dated. Linens and towels are abundant but some were in need of replacement. Mattresses throughout were too firm for our family -- one daughter described them as "like concrete" and I'd agree. We did appreciate the hammock on the deck and the lovely outdoor table, as well as the selection of movies and games available. With hiking on the agenda every day, it was great to have access to a washer and dryer, and to be able to whip up quick meals in the kitchen. We also liked watching the mule deer come up to the deck in the evenings. All in all, good value for the price!

  Owner response: Thanks for the feedback. FYI most rentals in PMLA charge an add'l fee for supplying the linens and towels. We are gracious and supply them at no cost even though they are commonly lost or taken from the home. AS far as the mattress firmness of the two Queens beds downstairs one is a pillow top and the other has a 3 inch mattress cover and is very comfortable. The beds in the loft upstairs I agree are firm but not like concrete. Please remember this is a cozy cabin in the woods and not high end hotel.

  Hi, we were recommended the Groveland Cabin by good friends of ours that had stayed there last year from London and really enjoyed their visit. We arrived to a beautiful and very clean cabin which was important as we had a crawling 12month old baby with us and were also very pleased with the baby gate that prevented her from roaming the stairs. There were 6 adults and we all found the cabin very spacious, very comfortable beds and the washing machine was great to have and the well stocked with cooking materials making a meal plan quite easy! It also has a beautiful deck area which we utilized even in winter was very mild indeed for November.The location was so lovely and the town of Groveland was a quiet town, was what I had always imagined a Western town of yor to be like and even has an original Saloon! The beer was divine and food great as was the Tea House we encountered. Of course with the Yosemite Park a drive away its really an ideal location. It has a market that has all manner of groceries and toiletries, so that was very ideal. We really just enjoyed strolling through the town as its not very big so you can enjoy at your leisure. We would like to take this opportunity to highly recommend this property as we also found the owners very easy to deal with. Many thanks, The Allen Family London England

  My family and I spent a few days at this house while visiting the Yosemite area. It was well stocked, clean and comfortable. I would recommend this as a nice place to stay when you are in the area.-- Derek, Simi Valley Ca.

  My wife and I rented this property for 3 nights. The perfect getaway from the bay area. It was wonderful, the view of the trees through the A-frame windows is spectacular. We could have spent the whole time on the spacious, well appointed deck. Loved the hammock the best. Will certainly return for another visit.

• Fabulous Cabin !

  We stayed at this cabin with my in-laws who are both in their 80's. It was clean and comfortable and extremely well stocked. We saw amazing wildlife from the deck - deer and blue birds and even an albino deer ! This home is close enough to Yosemite that we were able to drive into the park a few times during our stay.We even had dinner one night at the nearby Iron Door Saloon - which was very fun. There is a grocery very close by which is also well stocked. We stayed here in June , and it was very pleasant, but a bit too cold to use the lake. I would imagine that staying here during the summer months would be unbelievable ! This would be a great place for 2 families with children as there are 2 beautiful bedrooms downstairs and a dorm-style set up in the loft that would keep the kids happy and occupied.
