This week has gone by so quickly! I wish I had more time, but we had so much fun! I can’t wait to come back again. I did so much swimming. We swam a lot & went on some fun rides. We had a great time & hope to come back next year.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your wonderful chalet! The drive up was just beautiful & the lake was fantastic! I loved the many different towns that we drove though, and had fun searching for garnet in Gore Mountain. The Natural Stone Bridge & Cave took my breath away, just like ice cream here (I love ice cream). We had fun exploring the Adirondack Museum. My goal was to sit in a giant Adirondack chair!! My favorite part was going to Six Flags! I loved going down to the lake. I caught 2 nice small mouth bass off the dock & a couple of yellow perch. It was also fun summing in the lake. The view there is amazing. I hope to come back to the Adirondacks next year.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Girls weekend away. What fun, relaxing, shopping, sitting by the lake, out on the deck for cocktails & hors d’ oeuvres, enjoying the rapids on the Hudson River in Riparius & oh yes the laughter what we both needed!!!!!! We loved your “Little House in the Woods.”Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

What more can we say other than thank you, thank you, thank you! The week was completely wonderful. We skied it snowed, & spent time together as a family. We visited O.P. Frederick's on their Thursday wing night & visited Lake Placid for shopping, lunch & drinks @ Zig Zags. After 10 years we still can’t get over how beautiful & relaxing it is up here. We love it & already can’t wait for next year. Thank you for letting us use your beautiful house.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The house was in a very nice condition, however we got the impression from the listing that this was a lakefront property, which it is not. The house has lake rights, but the actual beach is a five minute walk across a street. We did enjoy our stay, however this house was really not suited for our family with three children (ages 6,4 and 1) who did not have any area to play in outside.Recommended for: Age 55+.
Owner response: We are sorry for any misunderstanding there may have been regarding our home not being on lakefront property. However, our listing clearly states it has 470' of beach and dock "rights", not "frontage". We've been renting for over 12 years and have not had any comments/problems with this being a lake "rights" property. Also, houses located directly on lakes in the Adirondacks with private frontage rent for far more than our rate (2-4 times as much). But perhaps we need to make it very clear in our listing for the future. Regarding the comment about house not suited for a family with three children (ages 6,4 and 1) who did not have any area to play in outside, ... Again, we regret any misunderstanding. Although we have 1.3 acres for children and adults to explore, it is mostly wooded. We are located in the Adirondack Mountains. Most vacation home properties in the area do not have play areas as such. Although we do have a grassy area on the side of our house and some room to play out front as well. There are also plenty of activities to do just a short drive away. Again, we are very sorry for any misunderstanding. We take great pride in our vacation home and making sure visitors enjoy their stay. We are always communicating with prospective renters in answering any questions they may have before renting, before arriving, or during their stay. Jeff & Anita

Thank you “the Green family” for your beautiful cottage. It gave us the chance to explore the Adirondacks. Even if I’m 6 months pregnant we found some reasonable mountains to climb; Chimney Mt., Deer Leap Mt., Cook Mt., Severance Mt. After the climb we would relax at the new beach every day. We also discovered 4 great restaurants; the Bistro at Friends Lake Inn, The Drakes, Café Adirondack and the Wells House. We also had a wonderful opportunity to observe the lake, the birds, the trees and the many many stars from your porch. We had an awesome time.Did you find this review helpful? We had a great time with the alpacas and going in the lake. I caught my first fish and daddy caught the biggest fish, no mommy caught the biggest fish.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/1

This was our first trip to the Adirondacks and your home was more then we could have imagined. It was the perfect get away from city life and we loved the privacy, peace and calm of the area. We took your suggestion and had a great time at O.P. Frederick's for dinner one evening. In addition, we went white water rafting in North Creek (Hudson River Company)! Spent a day running around Lake George and swimming in Loon Lake (loved the diving platform)! Our only regret is that our trip was so short.Did you find this review helpful? We loved this beautifully decorated and cozy home. We felt so comfortable and relaxed in our wonderful nature retreat. You did such a great job with all the moose, bear and loon stencils and decorative pieces. Thanks so much! We’d love to return next year. The leaves are just changing now and it’s so gorgeous!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
