  We really enjoyed our stay at Barrett Loft. The reservationist was great to work with during our booking, and when we showed up, I couldn't have been happier with the property. It was exactly what we were looking for as it was bright and spacious inside with a fabulous patio for people watching. The home was very clean, had a well-stocked kitchen, at the perfect location on the square, and the beds were super comfy. This was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience from start to finish and we are already looking forward to our return trip next year.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

• Perfect Location

  Love the loft! I came down with a few friends to spend a long weekend at the Beach! While the weather did not cooperate with us - we did not care and had the best time. The loft was perfect! Right in the middle of town square allowed us to enjoy all of the festivities, dinners and shopping. The loft itself was very spacious, well decorated and had no issues with cleanliness! The patio area is one of the best on the square and allows room for you to hang out and eat dinner or sit and read a book. Definately will be back and hope to stay here again!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

• Great Location - Poor maintenance

  I will start with the "Pro's". This was a great location, and the size was perfect for my small family of 3. There is a big comfortable chair in the living room that I loved! I wish I could have taken it home! Now the "Con's". This is the 6th beachhome I have rented, and it was the worst maintained of them all. Half the electrical sockets didn't work, there were several lightbulbs out, it wasn't very clean, microwave "screamed" at you when in use, there was no grill as advertised, the sheets on the master bed were of poor quality, and I was left wondering when the last time the cleaning person went upstairs to the loft, as there was sand on the futon (yes, it was a futon and not at all as pictured), and all over the stairs and floor. One of the worst things was that I had called the person twice that was listed as the contact on our paperwork for questions. I needed to find out the code for beach access and find where they had hidden the grill (I had already bought food for the grill, so we really wanted it). She still hasn't called me back. I eventually emailed Jeannie, and she responded right away. By the way, the beach code was wrong and I had to get it from another guest that was staying in Rosemary Beach. Awkward.

  Owner response: I am so glad that you liked the location of Barrett! The living area chairs is one of my favorites too! I wish I had received a call or an email I would have been happy to address these issues, i.e. the outlets, light bulbs and microwave. I have spoken with our housekeeping staff and asked that they pay more attention detail when cleaning the loft. The gate code for the beach and pools is provided in the information sheet when the welcome letter is sent to our guest. The grill was removed from our balcony as Rosemary Beach now only allows houses to have grills.

  So it rained "almost" the whole time, but we still had fun at the Barrett Loft! what a pretty place and just sitting in the loft area was great to read and watch the rain fall. We were very pleased with the layout of the condo and the furnishings. The Barrett Loft is in the center of activity and it was fun to watch people old and young riding their bikes. Loved hearing the live music just down the street from our balcony. We will be back maybe in the late summer or early fall.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

  Our family stayed here for a week in July. The location is absolutely perfect- right above Rosemary Trading Company and in the middle of all the activity of Rosemary Beach but wasn't too loud after dark. The deck was perfect for lounging and eating meals- I spent a lot of time reading out there with the ocean breeze. There is also a loft inside the unit which was a perfect little reading nook. The place has a great layout that was perfect for our family. Our only issues: 1) it wasn't very clean (my husband and I cleaned the master bath which obviously hadn't been cleaned) and 2) some of the amenities really need to be upgraded (e.g. antiquated TV with attached VHS and DVD players, some outlets not working, small area rug needs to be changed to seagrass rug to capture all of the sand- we swept quite a bit while we were there). While we were there, someone came into the unit to measure for flat screen tvs... not sure when/if the tvs will be upgraded. Good communication from the owners before we left for our trip.

  Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway.

  Owner response: We have replaced the 3 TV's with NEW flat screen TV's. We do a deep clean in the off season. Our housekeepers do come in and clean between guest, and I will ask them to pay more attention to the Master Bath. We appreciate our guest feedback so that we can keep Barrett at the top of it's game.

  No telephone line as advertised. Wireless internet did not work. Roaches present. An exterminator did come and spray after mentioning it to maintenance person. General cleaning should be more intensive. TV was of poor quality. The balcony furniture had to be cleaned daily due to bird droppings. Construction took place below, very noisy. Was told by other building occupants that owners were notified months in advance. I feel it should not have been rented during this time. Master bedroom linens and bedspread were of extremely poor quality.

  Owner response: We have taken out the land line as most people use their cell phones. We have changed wireless providers as we had some issues with the previous company. Unfortunately we do have bugs from time to time, but have an exterminator that can help us with that issue. Have addressed cleaning with housekeeping. TV's are on our update list. We were not notified of any construction that was going on in the building during January sorry for the Inconvenience. As the owner had these issues been brought to my attention I would have been happy to address them during your visit. Jeannie

  I live in Niceville, FL and my family came down from Mass to visit. Four of us stayed at the Barrett Loft. 30A is the best place in NW Fl to visit, maybe all of Fl. The Barrett Loft lived up to the expectations I had from VRBO, it was great! We stayed in mid Oct and had perfect beach weather all week; which is good because we walked to the beach everyday. The place was fabulous. Views of the gulf from loft, and from the patio you can look out over the town center. There are a dozen great restaurants in Rosemary and just down the road in Seaside. Food and entertainment were excellent. Highly recommend staying here.

  The Barrett Loft is wonderful! It is very family friendly, and very roomy. Our 6 year old daughter loved the loft and used it as her clubhouse! It is centrally located in Rosemary Beach, and very accessible to the beach and the pools. It is beautifully decorated and has all the amenities you need for a great vacation. We will definitely be back, and won't hesitate to even bring the grandparents! Don't miss this one!

  We had a marvelous vacation in Rosemary Beach. Jeannie Roberts was great to book through and the complimentary bottle of wine we found upon arrival was a unique touch. The unit was beautiful and the location at the center of activity of Rosemary. We loved walking to get warm and fresh baked goods from Wild Olives in the early a.m.! We also enjoyed getting wine from the Wine and Cheese Bar(located about 100 yards from the beach) before dinner as we watched the sunset. Dinner at Onana's was a highlight for us as well. As we walked through Rosemary Beach, we honestly felt like we were walking through the pages of a magazine....such a unique community with a flair like no other. IF you enjoy architecture, this community will be a treat for you! This gaslight community is a favorite of ours for sure.

  This listing is an EXCEPTIONAL choice!! We stayed for nearly 2 weeks and it wasn't enough time. The condo is BEAUTIFUL and Rosemary Beach is a wonderful place (especially for families)! It was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! The dining right below this condo (Summer Kitchen/Blue by Night) was just ONE reason we would consider moving to this lovely community!! Otherwise... this condo will see our family yearly!!!
