Situated on a five acre meadow overlooking Russian Gulch, this beautiful Japanese pole house is inspired by 16th century Japanese farmhouses. It was recently built and has all modern conveniences. It is open and airy, light and soaring, a very inspiring space. It is heated with radiant floor heat, which is quiet, clean, and warming to your soul. There is also a wood burning fireplace for staying cozy on cool nights.
The master suite upstairs has a wonderful California King mattress, a world class view, and a soaking tub. The master/guest bedroom downstairs has a natural mattress as well on its Queen bed, and an outstanding view of the beach through the French doors.
The media room-den next to the guest bedroom on the main floor has a high quality convertible queen sofa and can be used as a third sleeping room. The art studio/loft has a double size futon for a fourth sleeping space.
Spacious decks surround the house with plenty of space for outdoor living.
There is a hot tub with a stunning ocean view.
The water is kept clean with an ozonator so doesn't use harsh chemicals.
The property is a five acre meadow surrounded by redwood trees. This is a place to come for retreat and you will find it to be a resort quality experience.
This is a rural gated community of secluded mostly 40 acre parcels 2 miles north of Jenner, where the Russian River flows into the Pacific. It is close to wine country, river rafting, kayaking, horseback riding, many wonderful beaches, trips up and down the coast from Tomales Bay to Mendocino and it is less than 2 hours to the heart of San Francisco!

"What an unbelievable gem, in such a peaceful, beautiful setting. Thank you for your warm hospitality - everything was truly perfect. Highlights from the weekend-stargazing, relaxing in the hot tub, cooking in your wonderfully equipped kitchen, reading (3) books from your fascinating library, playing with Georgia on the heavenly porch. Weather was gorgeous too! It seems we are constantly looking for a perfect nearby jaunt that encapsulates everything we love to do together - it seems we will have to look no further. Your home is MAGIC. We have never felt more calm, at peace, centered, or in love! Thank you so much! p.s. Many thanks for the bottle of wine!!"Did you find this review helpful? We are just returned from our stay at the Farmhouse. It isn't often that a vacation rental home exceeds expectations, but this one did, in spades! The house is exquisitely designed and incredibly comfortable. Don and Ilene, the owners, are lovely people, who were very helpful throughout the entire process and even welcomed us with a bottle of wine. They have imbued the entire house with care and thoughtfulness and warmth. We had a large party (8, including adults, teens and a baby) and the house accommodated us beautifully. We all enjoyed cooking in the gorgeous, well-equipped and clean kitchen, and the rest of the house was similarly spotless and well-maintained, inside and out. The quality and comfort of the furnishings, from the beds to the outdoor furniture, was extremely high. Above all, the location was almost other-worldly. The peacefulness of the surrounding mountains, the views of the ocean and the fog rolling in and out, and the star-filled sky (complete with the Perseid meteor showers) left us contemplative, serene and rested. All of us wished that our schedules would have permitted us to remain longer. We hope that we will be able to stay here again and visit more wineries, relax at nearby spas (we loved Osmosis), partake of fine dining (Barndiva was fantastic), kayak, hike, hot tub and more. We highly recommend the Farmhouse to anyone who is planning to visit the Sonoma coast and its surrounding environs.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for your awesome review. It is always gratifying to share our place with people who appreciate how special this place is. The building of this house was a true labor of love. Thank you for taking good care of it during your stay.

We travel extensively in the US and abroad and this was by far the best location, accommodations and family vacation we have taken. The property was better than described. The pictures were great but pictures cannot capture the serenity and beauty of this location. We loved everything, including the cat. We will look forward to renting the home the next time we are in California. The owner was very gracious and helpful with everything, including restaurant recommendations. Drives along the PCH and Napa, etc. were easy, picturesque and fun. We all highly recommend this location!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Beautiful beyond words. We soaked in the sun & ocean breezes, went to sleep lulled by the surf, explored the gorgeous coast, brought local art in Bodega, drank fine wine, cooked delicious meals & danced like fools in the living room. Oh, loved hot tub under the stars! BTW, I would recommend FORT ROSS to anyone who would like to see a 1st class regional museum, and feel antique & exotic culture, just 10 min. north. I've never been more moved by a place, & the setting is stunning, staff remarkableDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

About the owner: The beauty of this place is beyond words. Building this house was a labor of love and we really enjoy sharing it with people who appreciate quality craftmanship and pristine beauty.
Why the Owner Chose Jenner:
Jenner is a sweet little town in a spectacularly beautiful area of coastal Sonoma County. Very pristine and beautiful. There are 5600 acres of open space just outside our door, The Jenner Headlands and many beaches as well.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Pristine, quiet beauty.
This inspiringly beautiful home has soaring spaces, an indoor bridge, lots of light and is a unique, one of a kind creation.
We live outdoors as much as in with comfortable outdoor furniture, hammock, garden, decks, patio and hot tub. The large sliding doors open up to let the outdoors and the indoors become one. The chef's kitchen is completely exquisite and a joy to create great meals in. This place is truly special.
