Sleep up to six with the queen master bed, twin beds in the second bedroom (new ceiling fan) and a new queen size sleeper couch in the living room. Enjoy dining at our new dining table while watching your favorite TV programs on the new 37" HD television. A small drop leaf table is in the second bedroom for games or puzzles. Unit features a full kitchen with complete service for six people and a full set of silverware, pots and pans, full size refrigerator, stove and microwave oven and cook cool with the new ceiling fan. Do your own laundry in the washer and dryer in the bathroom and stay cool with the new ceiling fan in the bathroom.
Pohailani Maui Resort, or Kalekaiko (Paradise), is located in a very quiet private facility that is great for relaxation and enjoying the many beautiful plants, trees and birds. Exercising on the tennis and basketball court is only one minute across the commons. After the vigorous activities, you can cool off in the pool just twenty steps from your lanai. For immediate shopping and dining or fast food, one minute to the gate behind the property is a mini mall with four restaurants, a McDonalds, a Dive Shop, a convenience store, a grocery store and several small shops. Resort property is on the beach with unit 148 only a 120 step stroll to the beach and ocean. You can enjoy snorkeling, boogie boarding, swimming and building sand castles, reading or just kicking back in the sun.
For the golfer, there are four world class golf courses within seven minutes from the facility. North and South courses at Ka'anapali. The North Course is the location of Wendi's Skin Games and for years hosted the Senior Tour. They also shot the 2008, The Big Break, for The Golf Channel on the North Course. North of the Pohailani is Kapalua featuring The Plantation Course and the Kapalua Bay course. The Plantation Course is the home of the SBS Tour championship (was Mercedes Open), the first competition of the PGA Tour each year. If these four courses are not enough challenge, there are eight other top rated courses on Maui plus the Kahului city course.
A five minute drive south is Ka'anapali. Aside from the golf, Ka'anapali offers terrific dining at five star restaurants, shopping and the Whale Museum at Whalers Village. Three more minutes south is Lahaina. Lahaina, once the whaling capital of the world, offers shopping at The Cannery Mall, (once a pineapple canning factory), a Sugar Cane Train Tour, dining and shopping. Along Lahaina's Front street is one of the world's largest banyan trees covering 2/3 of an acre. Behind the banyan tree is the Lahaina Harbor where you depart for sea excursions to watch the whales - in season, cruise to other islands or board the Yellow Submarine for underwater views without getting wet. On Front Street there are the usual tourist shops and several art and jewelry shops featuring world re-known artist's pieces.

Why the Owner Chose KahanaAfter several trips to Maui, we chose Kahana and Pohailani because the neighborhood is quiet and removed from the tourist hot spots. Yet, it is close to the beach and ocean (120 steps), close to a convenience store, about 120 steps, a five star restaurant, a sports bar, a McDonalds and various other stores within 5-7 minute drive. The property is beautiful with flourishing trees and plants and several species of birds. We love it!
The Unique Benefits at this CondoEnjoy a morning walk without leaving the property or walk south down the street about five minutes to have your coffee, meet other folks, read a paper or watch people and traffic. You can sleep late without disturbances. Rules do not allow power tools to operate before 9 AM. Sit on the lanai in the early morning or late evening and enjoy the trade-winds. In the evening you will reach for the cover as the temperature drops after the sun goes down - perfect sleeping! Use the ceiling fans (five of them)- gotcha covered - and no AC noise.
McDonalds, Angus Steak House, Sports Bar, Dive Shop and various other shops.

The condo was perfect. The only reason I gave this a four star is because the beach may be 120 steps away, but there's no easy way to get to it. When we were there the tide was always high and to actually get to sand, we had to walk a little ways. But, for the price and location, this place worked well for us. Jim is great to work with. The unit is very comfortable and clean. We stayed there for 5 1/2 weeks and already signed up for 6 weeks next year. This will probably become a habit. Great escape from the cold Rocky Mountain winter. A short walk to the beach, quite a few restaurants within walking distance.

Feb 15-29/2012 2 weeks in paradise!! 2 couples shared the condo. it was great,lots of room, very clean and comfortable,nice a quiet and away from the crowds at the resorts. the tennants that live there full time were very friendly. it was a good location to see all of the island from, and a quick drive to a beautiful beach. Jim was great to deal with, very prompt returning emails. We would definately use this condo again, when we come back to Maui, You won't be disapointed if you stay here.

We were so blessed to have found this nice, affordable townhouse for our stay in Maui! It's not a "newer" residence, but it's kept updated, clean, and very nicely furnished. Very comfortable. There were 3 of us adults and 3 children (ages 14, 10 and 7) and there was ample space for us all. The fully equipped kitchen is GREAT, especially since it gets expensive if you have to eat out everyday. The location is EXCELLENT for snorkeling at the best beaches just a 5 min drive away. We got a lot of use out of the pool (the kids even used it to learn how to use their mask/snorkel before going out into the ocean) and it's nice that all the beach towels are supplied at the unit as well as indoor laundry facilities to make our lives so much easier. Jim is great to work with and got back to us quickly for any necessary communication prior to the trip. We recommend staying at this family-friendly, well-equipped, clean, comfortable and very affordable townhouse at a great location!

What a peaceful place to stay. We throughly enjoyed our stay here and found this place to be everything we were looking for. We were able to use the Beachchairs,Morey etc. Everything we needed was right there . TV in all the rooms. Kitchen was more than expected to cook any meal. If your renting a car and want a quite place to stay I highly recommend this place. We were there for 6 nights and found the location excellent for exploring the Island ,and if you just want to relax in the Beach is just a few ft away. We are so happy we stayed here

My family of four had a fabulous vacation in Maui. The condo made our stay very affordable and memorable. We were able to enjoy snorkeling at Honolua Bay, boogie boarding at Napili Beach and Polo Beach (Kihei). We ventured off to Hana and hiked to Wailua Falls. We were able to explore Maui and returned to a extemely comfortable home. The condo was well equipped with all the neccessities you need. There were plenty of towels, beach towels, beach chairs, mats, boogie boards, and even an umbrella. The only thing missing was a cooler. LOL We cooked a few nights and walked across the street to see the sunset. We saw a few turtles swimming around. Anyway, the kitchen had all the pots and pans, even a rice cooker. BTW, we left behind a bag of calrose rice, 3pds. We actually got tired of cooking and went out to dinner at Sansei (5 mins away). Great food but $$$$....but hey...staying here...you can afford it. We also ordered pizza at Dollies which was also 5 mins away in Kahana Villa. The pictures on VRBO doesn't do this place any justice. I was blown when I opened the door. This place is really cute. We normally stay at 4+Star places but this time we wanted to do a lot of fun things during this trip such as zip lining that cost a bundle. So we decided to find something more affordable but clean. THis condo is not only affordable but it is very clean, tasteful, comfortable, and has everything you will need to make your stay memorable. Also, a major plus....it has a full size washer and dryer! I actually came to Maui to purchase a condo. There is no need to...I am going to be a loyal customer to JIm. He is very responsive to your emails and is accomodating to all of your needs. The place is very quiet and the unit is in a nice location. It is on the bottom level but sit on a higher level. There is a nice breeze when you leave the patio door open. Don't look any further, you will be happy with this reservation. Enjoy!

Very comfortable for 2 couples. Wonderful sunsets to enjoy. Lanai looks out into a wonderful courtyard with the pool right there. Quiet and private. Light and cheery, we have lots of wonderful memories of the nice Condo...great location, easy to find...we will always cherish the times we had here. Jim was great and very helpful with what ever you needed. Condo was well stocked, and had everything we needed for a great vacation.

We extended our stay in Maui after a week in another property on Kaanapali Beach to stay at this lovely quiet and private condo. In all our travels with RCI, other condos and timeshares, we have never found a condo that was so well equipped and stocked as this one They have thought of everything that you need for your stay in Maui. From tons of towels to many kitchen appliances and cooking utensils. we did not need a thing! the condo is well situated and near to Napili where there are grocery stores and restaurants. Splurge and have dinner at sunset at Merrimans's or the Sea House Restaurant - both are a short drive away. Would definitely stay again! Maui lovers from Big D

Location of condo is one of the best in Maui and the rental fees are very reasonably affordable. It is close to all activities and easy to find. The condo is near to all of the best snorkeling places/beaches in Maui. We saw lots of turtles, dolphins, whales, manatees, and of course, various kinds of colorful fish. Jim and Carol are very flexible and easy to deal with. He is very prompt with all replies. They gave us lots of good tips on what to do and how to get to great places that most tourists do not think of visiting. We loved the banana bread that Jim recommended. The condo has most equipment needed for the beach and water actitvities for kids and adults. Our young children enjoyed the swimming pool @ the condo. We will definitely recommend Jim's place to all our friends and families. Many thanks to Jim and Carol for making our vacation a relaxed and enjoyable one.

We stayed here for 5 night during spring break 2011. The listing description was accurate and the photos were accurate. The property was very clean, and the grounds are also very nice. The owner was very helpful and he responds very quickly to emails. I really appreciated that the owner let us stay later the day we were checking out as there was nobody checking in that day, and it really helped us out. I would recommend this resort as the area is lovely and the price is right. We did lots of day trips from here to the blowhole, olivine pools and Honalua Bay. It was great having boogie boards to right in the condo to use during our trip. Cool Cats was our favorite restaurant!
