  • WOW!! THIS CONDO WAS AWESOME!!

"I feel very blessed to have found this penthouse condo for our first trip to Hawaii. It was wonderful! My family of 4 kept commenting on how lucky we were to find it! It was located on the 12th floor. It was amazing how fast the elevator was---bottom to top in 12 seconds! When we first walked inside we saw the authentic, beautiful Hawaiian decor. It was very obvious that this condo was very-high end. I appreciated how clean it was and how the kitchen had everything you needed for a great stay. The dining table and a small two-seat table were also fabulous. The Panoramic view in the living room and lanai were breath-taking. There was also a washer/dryer which was so convenient! This property was closer to the ocean than the other buildings, which made the views spectacular. If you love rainbows, double rainbows, sunrises and sunsets, this condo is for you! The bedrooms were great and the beds were very comfortable. The Master bedroom had this magnificent hand-carved bed. The 2nd bedroom had twin beds and the view out of the window of the mountain was spectacular. Both bathrooms had great water pressure. Being on the 12th floor that was a pleasant surprise. The location of this condo was perfect! We were close to everything. The supermarket was across the street. The boardwalk was right by the condo. One of the best restaurants in Maui, Duke's Beach House, was next to the Mahana. The staff at the Mahana were very nice and the concierge helped up plan some excursions. She also gave us coupons for restaurants (including Duke's Beach House). This was a very safe area. People were out walking the boardwalk all the time, so I didn't worry when my 23-year old daughter would go for a run. The pool/hot tub at the Mahana were great. The hot tub was emptied, cleaned, and refilled every day. There was pool-side service, also. The beach was right there. There was a shuffleboard court that my family enjoyed. The condo had everything we needed for the beach: chairs, towels, umbrella, boogie boards! Wow!!! That was an unexpected surprise! Peter was an absolute delight to work with! He responded very quickly and he was so nice. We have already been spreading the word in Arkansas about this wonderful find! We will definitely rent from Peter again. If you want the best views in Maui in a quiet, beautiful, safe, and very large condo (it sleeps 9), in the perfect location that includes all the amenities you would want, this condos is for you! Thanks Peter! We will be back!"

  • Perfect vacation experience!

"My wife and I visited Maui in early November 2016 and stayed at Mahana #215 for 6 nights. The condo itself was great and exactly as advertised. The kitchen was fully equipped and all appliances worked well. The furniture was comfortable and clean as was the bed. I felt as if I was at home. My only concern was that the self-closing front door mechanism is not strong enough to close the front door completely. The A/C was more than capable of cooling the unit to arctic levels although this time of year meant it was barely needed during the day and not at all at night. An open patio door and the sound of waves while going to sleep is as good as it gets. The view is spectacular and the second-floor location takes advantage of it perfectly. You can spend a considerable amount of time gazing at the water, sunset, surfers, Molokai, and Lanai. Unfortunately, this was not whale season but they would surely put on a good show. The terrace is nice and spacious but went mostly unused during our visit. With the sliding doors closed, you could only slightly hear the waves breaking. I never heard voices, noises, or footsteps from adjoining units. It would difficult for people outside to see you inside unless you were right near the windows. You could walk naked through most of the unit without anyone seeing you. You are within easy driving distance from anything in West Maui. There is a small strip mall a very short walk away that includes a supermarket, places to eat, and snorkel equipment rental, among other things. There are a couple of stand-alone restaurants within easy walking distance as well. The sandy beach in front of the complex comes and goes but in front of the property just to the South is a large sandy beach which can be accessed easily by the using Mahana’s beach access steps and walking South or by taking the public access boardwalk accessible from the parking lot (right behind unit #215). However, there are a lot of beaches in the general area. We did not spend much time using complex amenities and did not ever use the pool. However, the pool area was very nice and never appeared overcrowded. There are several BBQ grills available both in the pool area and the surrounding grounds. Parking is free and never overcrowded. Plenty of towels were supplied in the unit although larger “beach-sized” towels would have been a nice addition. We could not have asked for a better stay and I hope to return soon!"

  • Ideal location and views!

"We have been returning to Maui for over 20 years and usually stay in the Kannapali area. This is the first time we have stayed at Mahana #1014 and we loved it! The oceanfront lanai was accessible from both the bedroom and the living room, and the living room ceiling to floor windows provided unlimited views of the whales and surf also. It was nice to have a washer and dryer in addition to a full kitchen and beach accessories. The pool/hottub is beach front - along with a shuffleboard court - and there are lounge chairs provided in the grassy area between the building and beach, which was an ideal option to have for lounging while watching for whales and turtles if you don't feel like getting sandy. There's a code for the gate to Duke's restaurant right next door and a 5 minute walk the other way takes you to grocery store with Paradiso Pizza for take out options. Whaler's is a 5 minute drive with great restaurants and shopping and Lahaina 10 min max for all the action on Front Street. Perfect location without the crowded hotel feel! Great for families but also for couples like us who are looking for some quiet get away time."
