  • Our Best Maui Trip Ever

"Thank you Pamela and Jim for sharing your amazing penthouse suite with us! We have been to Maui many times and have always stayed at the Grand Wailea. This was our first time staying in a Condo and we are hooked! This condo made us feel like we were at home. It is very private, quiet and comfortable. The view from both inside the condo and out on the lanai is nothing short of spectacular. The minute you walk in to the condo the view takes your breath away! Our evening sunsets out on the lanai were so awesome that we only went out to dinner one time because we wanted to be on the lanai every night. The one dinner we had was in Paia at Mamas Fish House and it was amazing. The location of the condo is great too. We hit Costco as soon as we arrived. Then once we got to the condo everything we needed was there. We walked to the Times market, Java Jazz, Bad Ass Coffee, Farmers Market, Snorkel Bobs and Dukes. This was an incredible experience and we will definitely be back to this condo! We highly recommend this condo. You will not be disappointed. Have an awesome day!"

  • Great romantic getaway

"The views and accommodations were absolutely gorgeous and as advertised. One of the highlights of our trip was seeing two sea turtles swimming in the water below from the lenai. It is incredible how close to the water the unit is. You feel like you're right on top of the ocean. I loved going to sleep with the sound of crashing waves in the background. We took advantage of the many beach toys in the unit including snorkels, beach chairs, and boogie boards. The shower is amazing and the large TV was great fir watching a couple sporting events that I couldn't miss. The pool is a little small but makes up for it by being uncrowded. Several times I was the only person in the pool. The highlight for us was watching the gorgeous sunsets each night from the lenai. They were views that we will never forget."

  • Wonderful Ground Level Condo

"This ground level condo was the perfect fit for our family. Once you open the lanai doors from the living room or the bedroom you are just steps away from the well maintained grounds and the beach beyond. With no elevators to wait for you have great access to the pool area, bbqs, and beach walk. The kitchen has beautiful stainless steel appliances and a few of the basic spices were in the cupboard. It was so handy to have a washer and dryer to do a quick load of t-shirts and towels when needed. The location is amazing, a short walk will get you to the Times Market, for fresh pineapple, or Dukes Beach Restaurant, for a piece of Hula Pie. We enjoyed visiting the Maui Ocean Center and numerous beaches for snorkeling and boogie boarding. The lobby has an Expedia Activities Desk and they were able to help us get discount tickets to the ocean center as well as make recommendations for beaches and points of interest. There is also a good selection of books available so you don't need to worry about packing too much extra reading material. I am already looking forward to our return trip. Mahalo to Alicia for her quick response to my reservation request and questions while we were staying in Maui."

  • Enjoyed our stay!

"Our intent was to chill in Maui and spend time on our lanai watching the whales and the sunsets. Mission accomplished because the condo comes as advertised! The exchange of fees to the unit owner was fairly seamless although having to mail a cheque or money order as opposed to an e-transfer is clunky and time consuming. There's a well stocked kitchen (including paper products which one often has to buy and then leave behind) and there were even plastic containers to save left-overs! Other nice additions for the traveller are the beach chairs, beach bags, cooler and umbrella. The unit was clean, the king size bed comfortable enough; overall a nice sized unit for two adults. Lots of towels, both for the beach and for the shower. The seawall is right off your 2nd floor lanai so you could toss a pebble to the water, it is that close. There is a beach area to the left or right of the complex, both within a minute or two walk of the unit. The wi-fi worked fine but we didn't use the TV so not too sure of that package. The unit has air conditioning but we didn't use that either... the screen door to the lanai and overhead fan kept us cool enough through the night. If you're a light sleeper, you may want to bring ear plugs as the pounding surf through the night may keep you awake (or close the lanai glass doors to deaden the sound). The pool was warm and the hot tub hot and this was a nice place to spend an hour every day after the beach socializing with other vacationers. The BBQ is located in this area which is a bit inconvenient from the unit but I took some aluminum foil with me (provided in unit) and an additional clean plate to keep the meat warm for return trip to condo. Texting eta's to head chef back in condo was helpful for coordination of meals. The complex is well cared for and the location is great for getting out to snorkelling, shopping, sightseeing, whatever. There are no smoking signs everywhere but some choose to ignore. We had two nights of cigar smoke from a nearby lanai drifting to our unit, which was disgusting. The owner was sincerely apologetic when I let her know (once we were home to mainland) and she would have preferred I inform her right away as she would have tried to do something about it. The smoke from an elitist adult who couldn't read was the only blemish on an otherwise great stay."
