Imagine a tropical villa with sunrise and sunset views over a turquoise ocean… that you see from every room in the house! Even long-time islanders are astonished by the beauty of the 220-degree view from our home, High Blue Heaven!
Why stay at a hotel or condo development where you’ll share a crowded pool? At High Blue Heaven, you’ll enjoy the best location on St. Thomas on the breezy, green North Side close to beautiful beaches, great golf, delightful restaurants and the ferry to St. John (Virgin Islands National Park)… but quiet, private and high above the ocean so you can enjoy the view without the sand flies.
As you enter High Blue Heaven, your eyes will be drawn out over the edge of the Infinity pool on the deck to Magen’s Bay, Hans Lollik Island and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. The main floor includes one of two master bedroom suites with full bathroom, the Great Room with living room area (queen sleeper sofa), dining area, kitchen, laundry room and a powder room. Up the mahogany staircase, a second master bedroom features a four-poster bed, full bathroom, walk-in closet and a second deck.
Our house is decorated in a casually comfortable Caribbean style with tile floors throughout and bright colors flooded with light: it’s a place where you can feel at home and relax into island living. From the spacious deck, enjoy a meal…or a swim in the Infinity pool while watching the lights flicker on Jost Van Dyke. The kitchen is equipped with everything you’ll need to craft a romantic dinner. Or sample half a dozen terrific restaurants within minutes of the house.
You’ll enjoy the prevailing trade winds that keep High Blue Heaven cool and comfortable. Our house is West Indian style, meaning that every room has a ceiling fan. Each bedroom also offers its own self-controlled air conditioning system, as well as television, DVD player, and outdoor deck or balcony with gorgeous ocean views. Wi-Fi is free throughout the house.
Ideally and centrally situated on the breezy north side of the island, High Blue Heaven is seven minutes from:
• Swimming and water sports at Magens Bay, one of the ten most beautiful beaches in the world (National Geographic); and
• Golf at Mahogany Run Golf Course with its famous Devil's Triangle course.
Coral World Marine Park and Charlotte Amalie with duty-free shopping are just ten minutes from us, as are Red Hook (catch the ferry to St. John) and East End restaurants.
We want to make your visit an unforgettable experience. We have loved and enjoyed the U.S. Virgin Islands for more than thirty years and have many recommendations to share, from the best places to swim and snorkel to the restaurants that the guidebooks don’t tell you about. We chose our house because of its breeze-friendly design, fabulous view and Caribbean charm, and we want to share that with you.
Because we know that you’ve come to relax, our property manager, Robin, will meet you at the airport, escort you to the car rental service and help you get your rental car. Then, she will ensure that you arrive at our house and are fully briefed on everything you need to know. If you tell us in advance, we will also stock the house with whatever groceries you would like, for a small fee.

-Linens, bath and beach towels, bathroom amenities
Our home features living all on one level if you prefer (second bedroom upstairs). If you don't like climbing stairs, this is the place for you.

Hello Cheryl, Wanted you to know that the 4 of us had a wonderful time at your house. What a beautiful place. The view is awesome. Robin was such a great help to us. With all the celebrations going on in town we would have never got to the airport to go home. It took her several tries to find us a road to get there. We were following close behind . Turning around on a dime. ha. Dennis was a nervous wreck. We had a great time in the pool. Was cold at first but soon warmed up. Nick , the boat guy was on vacation with his daughter for spring break so we just took the car on the ferry to St John. Thanks for a great place to stay . Hope we can return before we get too old. High Blue Heaven was our pick to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Mahogany Grill had some wonderful steaks. Magen's Bay was a good afternoon fun. I just wish I could take my whole family there for a month. SharonRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

We spent a week at this gorgeous house, and everything was absolutely perfect. The view is even better than the pictures overlooking Megan's Bay. Robin is a great help and is available 24//7 with any of your needs. Even though there are not pictures of the kitchen and great room, they were nicely decorated. We spent the week with our son and daughter in law and it was the perfect place!!! We hope to return again. You will not go wrong with this rental!!!!.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This was our second stay at High Blue Heaven and I must compliment Jim and Cheryl and the property manager Robin. Not only is this home in a location with beautiful views it is impeccably maintained. I'm sure it takes a tremendous amount of effort to keep this home in perfect order. The plantings are a beautiful addition to the exterior of the home, giving the eyes such a treat! Meticulous attention is paid to every detail and your stay is just like being at home in a new location. It is difficult to leave the beautiful views, but be sure to visit Magens Bay for swimming, Trunk Bay for snorkeling, and downtown for plenty of shopping! Thanks for sharing your home!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at High Blue Heaven. The house is very clean and nicely appointed. The house is equipped with all the comforts of home and a great vacation including: coffee pot, blender, grill, CD player, cooler, snorkel equipment, and noodle floats. We loved the outdoor deck with the refreshing pool and the incredible view. We will miss enjoying our morning coffee and our late afternoon happy hour there. The amenities in the kitchen make cooking easy and fun, though additional hand towels would have been appreciated. The bedrooms have air conditioning units, which makes sleeping comfortable. As mentioned, the roads are a little scary to drive. The driveway is steep, but it gets easier each day. Our driver was a pro at the end of the week. Robin was helpful. It was so nice to have her meet us at the airport to guide us to the house. We recommend having clear directions, and a good map to the house from your day trips as the area can be difficult to navigate. Some of our favorite places include Magen's Bay, Udder Delite, and The Grille at Mahogany Run Golf Course. We highly recommend this beautiful spot.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We'd like to thank you for welcoming us to your beautiful home and lovely island. It has truly been an outstanding vacation! Many thanks to Robin for all her help, especially saving us when we got lost! ;-) Your home has been our tropical nest for a week - much too short a visit. It was my daughter and granddaughter's first visit to the island and I'm sure they will take home many great memories of our day trips to Tortola, St. John, and all the beautiful beaches. High Blue Heaven is certainly a perfect name for this perfect spot... the views from the deck rival anything we've seen in our travels including the Amalfi coast in Italy...the only downside is driving the roads is as terrifying as the Amalfi Coast too! We had a lovely week with beautiful days and nights. This week was the full moon and what an amazing view of the moon over the mountains. We ate at Oceana early in the week and it was wonderful but hard to find. We just got back from the Old Stone Farmhouse and that was great! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing home with us. We can't imagine a more perfect spot to celebrate our 40th birthdays. We have taken so many pictures trying to capture the amazing view before we head back to 12" of snow! Words can scarcely describe how beautiful High Blue Heaven and St. Thomas are! This has been a dream vacation. Will be back to be sure. Many thanks to Robin for accomodating our frustrating travel delays. Thank you Cheryl and Jim for opening your lovely home to us. About the owner: The Coons live in Portland, Oregon and travel to High Blue Heaven whenever they can get away! Our history with St Thomas dates back to 1978 when she moved there from Philadelphia and soon found herself helping to establish the first environmental protection programs for the U.S. Virgin Islands. Her love for the islands, the sparkling turquoise waters, snorkeling and scuba and the vibrant West Indian culture never lessened. This year, we decided it was time to return, at least part time. So we searched for just the right home and found the yellow house with the red roof and the blue shutters, located on our favorite part of St Thomas, destined to become High Blue Heaven!
