My daughter, Siberian Husky and I spent a wonderful 3 nights at this great cabin. Very clean and nicely decorated. Steps away from "the meadow" - an absolutely wonderful sledding hill - soooo much fun! We used the downstairs bedroom and the bed was very comfortable. I had cell coverage (Sprint) which was handy. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, sightseeing, families with young children.

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming cabin. We stayed there from December 29th to January 1st 2013. The cabin had everything we needed, was convieniently located, and allowed us to bring our doggies. Even though the cabin was pet friendly, the cabin was very clean and didn't smell like dogs had ever been there. It took us about 20 minutes to get to a Ski resort and also takes about 20 minutes to get to a casino, a large supermarket and drug store are about 10 minutes away. I would definitely recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle or chains when coming in the winter months because there are some steep and icy roads close to the cabin. The owner was very accomodating and answered all of our questions. Overall great vacation spot, which is close to home and is beautifully surrounded by snow.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children.

Our stay was great. The owners were great at contacting us promptly and responding to our questions. The house was very clean and comfortable. I was impressed that they had someone turn on the heaters prior to our arrival, which made the home a little warmer when we arrived. Love that they allow for dogs (and even have a small dog bed). Would definitely rent again. Great little cabin with a nice location.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

My family decided on a last minute get away and we picked this cabin. Great choice! Very clean and inviting, cozy and comfortable! Kitchen was well equipped. Quiet neighborhood. Close to Pinecrest Lake and great fishing at Lyon's Lake about 3 miles up 108. Very pet friendly! Reservations handled quickly and owner friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much and felt like we were in our home away from home. Will definately stay again if we get the chance. Thank you for letting us rent your cabin in the pinesRecommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children.

We have stayed at a LOT of cabins over the years...this is definitely in the top 5! It was one of the most cleanest cabins we have ever stayed. (Keep that housekeeper!) The beds were comfortable and made with fresh linens. The towels were new and plentiful. It was nice to have the cabin stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, etc. It was easy to find and a short drive from the Bay Area. Communication from the owners was awesome. Great pizza at Pie in the Sky a little drive up 108. Nice lunch on fresh made bread at Andy's Mountain Grill & Deli. The one thing that would make this a "perfect" spot would be for them to add a dryer. They have a lot of places to hang your jackets, snow clothes but a dryer would have been nice. It is two story with steep stairs so not sure if a good place for someone with small children. My teenagers liked having their own hangout room upstairs. We will definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, girls getaway.

I highly recommend this cabin to anyone with dogs & kids. It was clean, spacious, nicely furnished with two bedrooms upstairs, one downstairs and two extra futons in the living room. Nice large deck outside. The owners are very friendly and forgiving (as one of our dogs ruined their blinds) Plenty of games for the kids to play with. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary items. Two comfortable bathrooms. Other items: a crate for a large dog, a gate for the stairs if you're coming with small children, and a bed for a small dog. Location is just 2.5 hrs past Sonora from the SF Bay Area so you're not dealing with the Tahoe traffic. We went up with two dogs and two little kids looking for some snow and we were surprised with the heaviest snow in 18 years. I recommend bringing some extra food with you just in case. We were close to sledding, skiing, the lake in the summer. We can't wait to go back and will definitely recommend it to our friends.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

I just returned from this great little cabin. It is exactly as described and as pictured. Mi-Wuk Village is the perfect location, less than 10 minutes to Twain Harte and under 30 minutes to Dodge Ridge. The cabin was very comfortable for the six of us that were their over the weekend. The cabin was extemely clean and well equipped. Although ther was no snow at the cabin, the setting was still very nice.. I would not hesitate to return to this cabin anytime in the future.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children.

Why the Owner Chose Mi-Wuk Village:
We love to ski, bike, and swim. So, we looked in Tahoe, but after sitting in traffic for eight hours, then standing in ridiculously long lift lines, we asked ourselves, there has to be something better, closer. So we found ourselves in MiWuk. It was only two and a half hours away, and there were a ton of things to do around the area. We love our place. It's cozy, comfortable and picturesque. Best of all, our cabin is situated across from a meadow - a great place for sledding, snowman making, biking, and hiking.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Everything is close, and if it has snowed, you only have to walk across the street to get to a gorgeous meadow.
