  We were a small to medium sized production company Using Tedd's the rental during our 5 week stay in Detroit. Even with the commute every day the house and location couldn't have been more comfortable for us. It accommodates very nice and has a very spacious layout to accommodate people up to 10. You are close to a lot of restaurants, activities such as bowling, skiing, golf (although out of season for us). The best part of the house was the owner. Tedd was extremely easy to deal with and we had no issues ever. This was easier than staying in a hotel and I travel about 1/2 the year and have stayed at previous VRBO places and this by far takes the cake for being flexible and easy going. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat to anyone thinking of staying here.

  The home was perfect for the amount of people we had. The layout is great for entertaining and being on the water was great. We did enjoy the home... The only downfall we had was the cleanliness of the home upon our arrival. The owners were adamant that the home goes through a 6 hour cleaning process prior to arrival, but we were not convinced of that. The air registers were caked with dust, there were cob webs throughout the entire home, the kitchen cabinets were sticky to the touch and also had crumbs inside. One of the beds had sand in the sheets. We felt that for the amount of money we were charged for a cleaning and linen fee that we were definitely not getting our money's worth- especially since we were required to wash all of the linens prior to our departure as well as clean the entire house. We emailed the owners about the dusty registers upon our arrival, to which he replied with an apology. However, after our departure and when we returned back west from our vacation, we contacted him with our more specific concerns and never received any sort of reply. That was disappointing.

  My family of four, two adults and two children ages 9 and 7 and another family, two adults and two children ages 4 and 8, recently stayed at this property. We had such a wonderful time and are hoping to go back next summer. The house was a perfect size for our group. The children loved the pool table and the game room in general. The lake was a perfect size and not too busy. We all loved the fact that while in the house and on the lake, it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere; yet we were close to shopping and everything else we needed. Our second night there, we went to use the stove and realized it was not working. I texted the owner to let him know and he was out the next day to try and fix it. when it couldn't be fixed, he had a new stove put in as soon as possible. He was very accommodating and helped out whenever needed. It was such a fun, relaxing week and we cannot wait to go again next year!

  We enjoyed our week at this cottage on Lake Chemung. Cottage is clean, well-stocked, and in great shape. Owners are extremely accommodating. We loved the lake and the town of Howell. An excellent place to stay with young children as you can watch them play in the water and sit on the deck. We would recommend this cottage to anyone-especially families with young children.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

  The house provided a relaxing stay for my extended family in town for my daughter's graduation. I had my elderly parents and aunt with me and they enjoyed watching the geese and the ducks. The house was just as it was pictured. We found the house very comfortable and close to freeway and other amenities.

  Being from out west, we are used to having enough space and this property has more than meets the eye from the road. The game room and living room are expansive and the upstairs rooms stay warm and have 2 bathrooms for a full house. The wooden decks upstairs and downstairs and views of swans and geese are amazing and the sunrise on Christmas was beautiful. If you are going to stay in a hotel, consider this property instead. The spacious size and pool table/entertainment system as well as the convenient location for anyone wanting to make a headquarters out of a long trip instead of traveling around (make your friends and family come to you!) for about the price of a decent hotel stay. The other good thing is that it's right between howell and brighton and very close to major freeway.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children.

  We really enjoyed our time at the lakehouse. We had a small party for my son who had graduated from MSU. The house was spacoius and very comfortable. It was very easy to work in the kitchen, nice Weber grill and picnic table on the deck. The lake views were beautiful and we enjoyed relaxing on the deck. Pool table was nice extra feature.

  My friends and I take extended weekend vacations. How we come up with where we go...1) we pick a state and 2) we pick the best house that meets our expections, price range and availability. That's how we found this charming Lakefront home in Howell. Loved it, great space - open concept. It was nice to have all the bedrooms upstairs so that those that wanted to party late or sleep in, could do so. The large deck was great for entertaining as well as the privacy of this location. There were one or 2 minor things that we had suggested to the owner to change for future renters . Definitely would recommend this house especially for the summer. Shoot the lake is 30 feet from the deck! Have fun, party hard...bet you can't beat the trip the Fab 5 had!

  Owner response: JOJO and the rest of the group were wonderful guests. The gameroom with pool table provide a great place for a spring time getaway. Suggesions and recommendations are always welcome!
