The mountain log cabin is a beautiful retreat. From the deep porch, you have spectacular long rage mountain views and can watch the sunrise with a mug of coffee. In a wooded, peaceful setting, you are surrounded by nature, yet close to nearby activities and shopping. This is a one bedroom, one bath, cozy cabin. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans, dishware (etc). A fire pit and hot tub adds to the allure of your retreat. The comfy bed has ultra-soft linens and towels, and the cabin has plush robes for your nights in front of the fire pit or after a nice soak in the hot tub. We also have cable TV with a DVR and a radio/CD player and wireless internet for your enjoyment. Sit on your porch and listen to the mountain stream or watch the mountains change color throughout the day with a glass of wine or a mug of hot coffee. About the owner: John and Judy both worked for the US Marshals Service, and met in 2007. In 2012 they married, and enjoyed traveling to the Blue Ridge Smoky Mountain area whenever they could. They fell in love with the Waynesville/Asheville area, and knew they had to retire there. They searched the area for property to buy, and as soon as they drove up the driveway of this one, they knew it was the one.
Why the Owner Chose Maggie Valley:
This property is so unique. It was an old farm and in the same family until early 2000. The next owners bought it and loved it, but recently wanted to sell to retire and do some traveling. John and Judy knew this property was so perfect, and everything they had been searching for. It's on 13 acres, surrounded by meadows and forests, with spectacular mountain views. You will feel like you are isolated in nature, but are in fact minutes away from towns, shopping and activities. It is, truly, the best of both worlds. John and Judy offer this property in the hopes that it will offer enjoyment, peace, rest and relaxation to guests.
