Beautifully furnished two story villa located on Carambola golf Course. This unit sleeps 6. There is a Queen Master Bedroom and bath on the second level and an equally luxurious King and full bathroom with deck overlooking the pool on the first level.
This is a builder's own home and the kitchen and master bathroom are recently renovated. This unit is located steps away from the golf course. The clubhouse is a short drive or walk up the hill. Tennis is available. At most times you will be the only one at the pool.
A short drive away is the luxury Marriott Renaissance Carambola Resort. This rental entitles you to all hotel guest privileges.
Also a five minute drive away is Cane Bay with many beach bars which offer dining and live music most nights.
There are several dive shops and 12 great dive locations within a one mile radius of Cane Bay. Of course fantastic snorkeling is available right off the Carambola and Cane Bay beaches.
There is a huge grocery store 5 min. from the unit.
CARAMBOLA GOLF COURSE
The par-72 Carambola golf course was built by Laurence Rockefeller as the centerpiece of a luxury Caribbean resort complex. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., one of the most highly respected designers of the 20th century, Carambola opened in 1966 to rave reviews and was considered by the master designer himself to be one of his finest courses.
Carambola Golf Club is open 7 days a week from 7 a.m to 5 p.m.
Driving range closes at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday & Wednesday
The Carambola Restaurant is open 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday Brunch is also served every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

CANE BAY
Cane Bay is one of the top rated beaches on St. Croix, and perhaps the world. It’s an easy place for young or old to swim. The snorkeling is good. The world famous scuba diving destination, The Wall, is just offshore. There are palm trees to shade your beach chair and two beach bars in throwing distance, which makes it easy to order a drink or enjoy lunch or dinner.
Amenities at Cane Bay include: Cane Bay Beach Bar, Cane Bay Dive Shop, Virgin Kayak Company, Spratnet Beach Bar, and a short walk up the road is Off The Wall Beach Bar. Eat lunch, have a drink, rent snorkel gear and dive The Wall (not in that particular order :-).
Experienced divers enjoy the freedom to plan and execute their own dives.

My wife and I spent one week at this condo unit located at the beautiful Carambola Golf and Country Club resort. One week was not long enough. This was our first visit to St. Croix and it could not have gone better. The Carambola community is gorgeous and this unit had every comfort we were seeking. Upon arrival the unit was very clean. These owners obviously take pride in their condo as they had recently installed a brand new kitchen. The rooms were well furnished and very comfortable. I appreciated catching up on sports news late at night on the cable TV which seemed to have every channel imaginable. Really no need for tv however with so much to do. The swimming pool is just steps from the porch and I had it to myself, no crowds. The golf course is championship caliber also with no crowds. This unit also provides beach access at the spectacular Carambola Hotel, one of the finest beaches I have ever had the pleasure to visit. The location of this very quiet gated community is perfect as you are close to Cane Bay with its terrific beach bar/restaurants and live entertainment. Once you have explored St. Croix you come to realize that being so close to the north shore provides you with the ideal climate and terrain. We hope to go back to this same unit in paradise sometime soon. It was truly an affordable rewarding vacation that we will never forget.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We spent a week at this wonderfully comfortable, well appointed, and conveniently located 2 bdrm condo at the Carambola gated community in St. Croix. It's perfectly located for both golf and beach with a short ride to either. The Carambola Golf & Country Club is a lush, tropically endowed, easily accessible facility with a full golf range and gorgeous course/clubhouse facilities. The ocean beach at the Carambola Hotel and Resort, whose access also comes with the unit, is to die for. The condo is beautifully decorated and also has a pool close by, right outside the patio. It's easy to get caught up in the Caribbean/Bohemian relaxed lifestyle and just drift away there, especially with the plentiful Cruzan rum available. We could not believe how inexpensive the food and alcohol were there! Many local shanty style eateries along the shore offer much local flavor and culture. More full menu dining was available like at the golf course and hotel resort as well as throughout the island. You will need a rental car to explore the island fully and get your groceries, etc. Also, this is a U.S. Virgin Island, so no exchange money or language barrier, and it even has U.S. postal there. We would definitely recommend this unit as it was very clean, upscale, well maintained and affordable, nevermind the amenities included. We would return again in a minute. Like Hawaii, at one third the cost and travel time. Actually, it is much less expensive than many of the islands in the Caribbean, too. If you're looking to mostly relax and play without a hassle, this place is it. Oh, did I mention the weather is mostly perfect ALL the time? The owners are extremely nice people who also vacation there as time and the unit schedule permits which shows that it is not just an income rental, but a true vacation home as well. We also know other people from our area who have stayed there and had a blast as well. Enjoy!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We've stayed here twice and love it. This unit is well appointed, very comfortable, clean, well maintained, and sits in a great location - right on the golf course at Carambola Golf & Country Club and a short drive from the Carambola Beach Resort & Spa. We begin the day with a dip in the pool which is steps off the patio or maybe a walk around the property which features botanical wonders and bird life everywhere. Carambola Golf was developed in a secluded, lush tropical valley by Laurence Rockefeller, who practically invented eco-tourism in the 50's and knew a paradise when he saw one. The clubhouse, driving range and first tee are a short walk or free shuttle ride from the unit. The Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed, championship caliber golf course takes full advantage of the location, and the club house offers about 101 different rum drinks - Cruzan Rum is made nearby. We usually follow a great round of golf by an afternoon at the Carambola Beach Resort & Spa which is a 5 minute ride away. Full access to the beach resort is provided with rental of the unit. As you approach the beach resort and get your first glimpse of the Caribbean, you will think you've discovered paradise and wish you'd done so before Laurence Rockefeller did. Entering the resort, you are treated like a guest. The resort has a great tropical bar and pool, but the highlight is the beach itself which offers chaise lounges, gentle body surfing, great snorkeling and beach vistas as perfect as any you've ever seen. As the afternoon begins to wane, consider the opportunities. You can shower outside beside the beach, take advantage of the fine dining offered at the resort, or take a short ride to one of the bar / restaurants on the beach at Cane Bay featuring live island musical talent. What to do tomorrow? Repeat as above, or maybe explore "the Wall", one of the top diving spots in the Caribbean. Snorkeling the coral reef at Buck Island is another memorable experience not to be missed. So we've found a simple formula for a great vacation: we stay at this comfortable unit, bring our clubs and snorkel gear, take full advantage of the first class golf and beach nearby, and sample everything else that St. Croix has to offer!Owner response: Thank you so much for this glowing review.
