Loved the little cottage. It was just what I was looking for when trying to find a place to stay on my vacation. The area was what I was looking for. Loved going up into the smokey mountains and driving those curves. Had a lot of fun exploring the area. Woody as great and so were the caretakers of the cabin. They gave me ideas of places to go see. If I go back to Tennesee would love to stay in this place again. If you are looking for a nice quiet and clean place to relax in, this is it.

Dear Woody, Our stay in the cottage was wonderful. We could open up the windows in the bedroom, the bathroom and the kitchen and didn't have to turn on the air-conditioner which enabled us to go to sleep and wake up with the the birds and frogs Everything was clean. We would like to compliment you for the way the cottage has been taken care of. Everything we needed was there-you didn't forget anything! We hope we can return next year. Sincerely, William and Michelle

This little cabin is fantastic. Beautiful inside and out. Location is great. Peaceful and quiet and close to Tellico Plains and the Cherohala Parkway and the National forest. Cannot say enough good about the owner and the cabin. This was our second time staying and we cannot wait until we can go back.

Visited Tellico Plains for some hiking and mountain biking, but we were rained out. After exploring the area and the visitors center, and a little side trip to the NC border and back it was great to come back to the cabin to warm up in front of the gas fireplace that night!. The cottage was very clean and well equipped and Woody, the owner, took pains to make sure our stay was as uneventful as possible by providing very detailed information about everything from directions and access to the cottage as well as the TV remote controls, the fire pits and grills - even the emergency flashlight in the kitchen :) We enjoyed it very much and plan to come back a couple more times this year to explore the new found trails discovered on our "reconnaissance" mission! Would whole heartedly recommend a stay at Stoneybrook Cottage.

I just got back from 2 nights stay at this cottage and it immediately felt like home. The house actually is far more beautiful and cozy than it looks in the pictures and the nearby areas present quite a beautiful scene. We came here for a family get-together and this place really made our reunion a special one. We liked it so much that we wish we had booked this cottage for few more days!

About the owner: This is our second home and our vacation paradise, not just a rental income property. We have enjoyed hiking and motorcycling in the area for over 15 years and wanted a more permanant place to stay that felt more like home. We are so very thankful to be able to share our retreat with a joyful heart. Please enjoy Stoneybrook Cottage as much as we do!

Why the Owner Chose Tellico Plains:
After looking at other properties is East Tennessee and western North Carolina, we discovered what is locally known as the Rock House. It was built by a local lumber / saw-mill baron in the 1950's for his personal retreat. It was then and is now truly unique. There is a calming influence permeating the cottage, allowing us to relax and re-charge from our busy schedules. We enjoy hiking for recreation and there are many trails to explore close by. We are also avid motorcyclists and this area provides so many great riding experiences and sightseeing opportunities that we haven't made a dent in them so far. Many vacation homes are newly constructed log cabins, sometimes built in almost cookie-cutter, sub-division fashion. Stoneybrook Cottage stands alone and it has the comforting feeling of returning home each time we arrive.

The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Stoneybrook Cottage is also a bird watchers paradise. We have feeders for our many bird visitors and bird watchers alike. Humming birds abound along with more varieties than I can count.
