Relax away from the bustle of corporate vacationland in Hope Alaska as you explore the Kenai Peninsula at your own speed, visiting where you want, when you want, and returning to your comfortable home base. This log sided cottage features a separate bedroom with a new queen bed, full bathroom facilities including a toilet, vanity with sink, shower and bathtub. Our full kitchen comes ready with all your pots and pans, utensils, silver and glassware, propane four burner stove and oven, microwave, refrigerator / freezer, coffeepot,and toaster. We provide a wonderful four course dinner for two each night in our dinner house that is included in your rental price. A wood burning stove next to the dining table make for a warm comfortable stay. This cottage is located near the pond on our lodge property in Hope, Alaska. A nice ramp from the deck makes access easy for older folks like us. Mountain views from the cottage are spectacular, and our quiet grounds are inviting with Bear Creek passing through, beautiful flowers, lots of birds and wildlife of every kind. We are located at the edge of Hope, Alaska, 85 miles South of Anchorage. It's an easy hour and a half drive on paved roads with amazing ocean and mountain scenery. Watch for Dall sheep and Beluga whales on the way out. Our small village was founded in the gold rush of 1898 and features many examples of refurbished miners cabins, a historical museum, great ice cream parlor, and live music at a local 100 year old bar. We now boast a population of 125 friendly locals and a couple grumpy ones. A wonderful salmon run comes through town in Resurrection Creek from Mid July till Late August and we will be happy to loan you fishing gear. We have an outdoor barbeque for you, picnic tables, and a campfire pit on Bear creek. For large parties we have additional log cabins on site, and our dinner house serves a four course dinner at 7:00 PM by reservation every night but Mondays.This dinner is included in your package. We require a one night minimum stay at the rate of $250.00 per night for a party of two. Additional adults will be $50.00 each (includes dinner) with a maximum of four occupants. Children under 10 are $20.00. This is a quiet, kid friendly environment with life jackets for the canoe and paddle boat, and a campfire after dinner. For adventure enthusiasts, try the rafting on Sixmile Creek with one of Hope's local rafting companies. Class four and five rapids with lots of great scenery will get your blood pumping. Amazing hiking opportunities include the Palmer Creek access area, Resurrection Trail, and the Gull Rock Trail, all maintained by the US Forest Service. We encourage you to call us for help in planning your visit to Alaska, and if you are an Alaskan, please bring your visiting friends and family out to Hope, the best of old Alaska.

I have driven by these cute cabins nestled around a small pond several times but have never stopped. Now that I stayed one night I am already planning my next trip! It was so quiet and cozy and perfect for a getaway. The dinner was more than fabulous as we ate on the deck in the sun. What an amazing hidden gem in Hope, Ak. I'll be back soon!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I love this little house in hope. It has all the things you need to feel at home in Alaska. The views out the picture window are often like turning on the learning channel. so much is happening. From moose and eagles to countless birds. Beautiful. The deck in front is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the sounds of Alaska. Plus Kent and Melanie are wonderful hosts. Very helpful and layer back. Don't be afraid to ask, they probably know it. Truly a special place in Hope Alaska!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We offer fine dining and rental cabins to Alaskans and visitors from around the world. Our lifestyle is simple, full of beauty, and surrounded by nature and wildlife.
