I loved this apartment & hope to return before too long. This was my first trip to New Orleans. The main reason for the trip was a conference, but I wanted to tack on some vacation time and I'm so happy I did. The apartment was in a great location- walkable to everything, but in a quiet area. It was spotless upon arrival, the bed was comfortable, the A/C was fine, the bathroom was large, and the main room was beautiful with high ceilings. We didn't really use the kitchen, but everything is there that you could possible need. Easy in, easy out, no problems, great experience!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

I chose this studio because it had the largest number of positive reviews, and I wasn't disappointed. In person, it was exactly as it was portrayed in the description, pictures, and reviews. It was clean, and well appointed as far as kitchen necessities. Owner Tara was very quick to answer all my questions before, during, and after our stay. One of the criteria I had for a studio in New Orleans was ease of any stairs in the building. As I saw pictures of other places with 19th century steep and narrow stairs, I couldn't imagine getting up them at the end of a day of walking. I am an older traveler, with knee replacements and back issues, so my comfort is important in my choice. This studio has about 5 regular steps from the street into the building. Inside there are no stairs, and into the courtyard patio there are also about 5, and all easy to negotiate. With regards to my back, the bed was fantastic, not too hard or too soft, nor too high to get in and out of. Frenchmen Street was about 4 blocks away and even tho we didn't arrive till nearly 7pm, we were over there the first night. Don't believe the people who say they wouldn't walk there in the dark. We saw nothing scary, nor did we even have any panhandlers approach us. This studio is perfect for enjoying this area of New Orleans. We visited three different clubs there and there were many more to explore. We had good meals at Snug Harbor, but their jazz was in a separate part of the club, and you had to pay a cover, and get in at the beginning of a set. We also had a good meal at Maison, with good live Jazz included. But Three Muses really was stellar with their small plates, and wide variety of yummy goodies to meet the needs of any varied tastes. We also appreciated that the location is on the quiet end of Bourbon Street, and we spent some very peaceful afternoons on the patio, drinking wine and pouring over our plans for the next day. We did have a rental car, and didn't always take it to the lot (an easy 5 blocks away), as the 2 hr parking limit on the street goes from 7am to 7pm. There were times when we found a spot nearby at 5pm, and left the car near us to go out to dinner latter that evening, without getting ticketed or towed. I can't imagine a better overall accommodation when you consider comfort, location, and price.Recommended for: People with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We have a 14 and a 12 yr old and sleeping was fine. Great super king bed was superb for us and pullout bed was fine for the kids. Location was on bourbon street about 2 blocks away from the heavy action. Quiet at night for sleeping n a quick walk to everything. Easy to unload stuff on arrival n then parked car n walked back to the unit. This a great location modern unit n the owners are quick to respond to all questions. I would highly suggest you stay here. It's awesomeRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I surprised my boyfriend for his 30th birthday with a trip to New Orleans and this condo couldn't have been more perfect! The location does not get any better! We were within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go: Frenchman St, Royal St, Bourbon St, etc. The condo is absolutely stunning...the pictures really do not do it justice. A good friend of mine lives in the West Bank and her and her husband met us one night for a drink at the condo and they loved it so much they talked about renting it out for the weekend and they live there! Tara and Todd were very helpful and very quick to respond with anything that we needed. We had such a wonderful time we have already contacted Tara about staying in the condo again within the year!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

This was a fabulous place to stay for those who want to be within arms' reach of the Quarter, but also want to feel a little bit "neighborhood". The condo is beautiful and convenient, and the courtyard is FABULOUS. Easily within just a minutes' walk of Frenchman Street and anywhere in the French Quarter, it is also right on the Esplanade bus route which is handy to City Park (and don't miss the NOMA there, as well). We walked all over the Fabourge Marigny and the Bywater and never found the car park location on Elysian Fields to be too far off or unsafe. My daughter and I walked through the neighborhood many, many times at all hours, and though we were wary and prepared, we did not experience any trouble. Be sure to take your breakfast outside in the courtyard and save enough time to enjoy a bottle of wine there on at least one evening. Tara is an amazing hostess. She seemed to be available at all times to answer our questions before and after our trip and was charming at each interaction. She dispels all fears of internet rentals in my mind! We encourage anyone considering a stay in NOLA to think about this as a hotel alternative. You'll thank us when you see passersby look longingly into your courtyard as you sip among the pretty plants. Enjoy!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

We stayed here from January 9 to 12, 2013. The apartment is perfect! Just as described, located at the corner of L'Esplanade and Bourbon street. Just a short walk from all the activity on Bourbon, but far enough that it is nice and quiet at night. The house is one of the old New Orleans homes with unbelievably high ceilings, and beautiful architectural details. The apartment was recently renovated and the owners did a great job at keeping the feel of old New Orleans in the place, while giving you all the conveniences. The kitchen is very well appointed, with all you need to fix your own, if you like. We always like to make our own breakfasts when we travel, and here, we ate out every evening. Tara was our contact person for our rental, and she was very responsive, the few times we needed assistance. She emailed promptly and we felt very well taken care of. The food in NO is fabulous! We greatly recommend Old Nola Cookery, toward the end of Bourbon Street. We ended up eating there twice, because we found the food so good! We loved their Crawfish Etouffee most, but everything we had was fabulous. And of course, you have to try beignets while you're there. The property includes a parking spot in a gated parking, a few blocks away from the apartment. That was perfect! We unloaded our luggage and parked the car and felt it was in a secure place. From that point on, we just walked everywhere. All in all, this was a great experience. We loved New Orleans so much, we wanted to go back even before we had left. I would absolutely try to rent this apartment again when we go back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We simply loved this place. Charming does not say enough! Clean, out of the way, but just close enough! Since we liked to walk, we did not rent a car. A taxi from the airport and we were set! We walked through the entire area - more than once! Tara was a pleasure to work with. Definitely recommend.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

What a great condo and an absolute perfect location! There is a lot to love about this place but there are a few things we found most important during our stay. 1) Location - Couldn't put it in a better spot! Right between Bourbon and Frenchman streets and near lots of great food and music, but removed enough to ensure quiet, restful nights. We had a car but never used it as everything we wanted to see was well within walking distance. 2) Parking - If you have a car, stay here! Having a secure and gated lot to park our vehicle was so nice for us. We had a wedding outside of NOLA on Friday and, by the time we were back in the city, finding parking in the area would have been near impossible. Thankfully, we didn't have to worry about any of that as we simply pulled into our gated lot and walked the short 3 blocks to our place! 3) Owners - I am a veteran at renting apartments, condos and homes all over the U.S. and in South America -- never have I been more impressed with the owners! They respond to all communication promptly and make sure you have everything you need. Their hospitality puts this place over the top. There are many other great things about this place including the great decor and wonderful kitchen equipped w/ everything you need, but don't just take my word for it -- book it and see for yourself!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Our experience of the place was entirely in keeping with the description and previous reviews. It is a beautiful old building, secure and well-maintained, in an excellent location. We'd definitely stay here again. One note, to the building co-op as a whole, not this unit: the entry hall needs a dehumidifier.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
