We enjoyed the cabin very much. It was great being next to a creek and so close to Yellowstone. We were pleased that it was a fully furnished kitchen and very comfortable. The photos and descriptions were accurate. I would recommend this to a friend.

Our family (my wife and I, four young adults and two young grandchildren) had a great time staying in the Amphitheater Summer Cabin. We spent four wonderful days exploring the various areas within Yellowstone, including seeing two grizzlies, two black bears, a lone wolf, numerous elk and pronghorn, and vast herds of bison. Cooke City is an excellent location for gaining easy access to the park, with daily trips through the Lamar Valley. The cabin was very comfortable, clean and well stocked. We really enjoyed cooking out and snacking on SMORES by the campfire. When we picked up the keys at the desk of The Grizzly Lodge, the staff was very friendly. Bruce also called to make sure we found everything in order. I would definitely recommend this to other families due to the lovely setting and great location.

We 5 (two parents, 3 children) were looking for somewhere quiet, comfortable and beautiful. We found it at Ampitheatre. Wish we had stayed longer than the four nights. Great for getting to see wildlife at Yellowstone. Great cafes nearby but we mainly ate in with fire pit and fully equipped and clean kitchen. The kids loved paddling in the creek. Would love to come again.

We had a great stay at the Amphitheater cabin last week. Silver Gate and Cooke City are cute little towns and everyone we met there was so informative and nice. It's such a beautiful part of the country and definitely our favorite side of the park. It's very close to Lamar Valley where the best animal watching is - we loved driving through it twice a day and seeing the animals - morning and evening are best. The cabin was cozy and right on the creek - the kids loved playing in it and throwing rocks. It had everything we needed, was super clean and it was really nice to be able to cook our own meals and sleep comfortably. We were especially happy with this choice after seeing the cabin options in the park firsthand - they were very small and close together with no cooking options. The best way to see Yellowstone and the surrounding area. We did a day trip to Cody which was nice and the Beartooth Highway is beautiful. Great stay - thanks!

Charming and comfortable cabin. A moose and her calf came to visit one evening at the creek.

Our family had the pleasure of staying in this cabin and it was just what we hoped for and more! It was ideally situated for our Yellowstone explorations and adventures. Each morning we awoke to the peace and serenity of the surrounding forest and mountains. We experienced nature at it's best, right from the front deck of the cabin! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked, and we enjoyed watching movies from the collection there at the cabin. The family that owns the cabin is descended from one of the original homesteaders of the community--what an interesting history! Should we ever return to the area, we would certainly love to stay again. Thanks for sharing your wonderful home!

About: Arlene and Bruce, and Gary and Terri share their love of Silver Gate. Our families, old and young, have spent many years enjoying the cabin as a get-away during the summers. Though a number of us live quite far away, we all look forward to spending time again in beautiful Silver Gate.

                          Why Cooke City-Silver Gate:
It was passed on to us by our parents. When our father was young he spent several years living in the original cabin year round. It has been like a second home for our family.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
The best thing about our home in the hills has been the ability to just get away from the demands of daily life and recharge our batteries. Many wonderful family memories have been stored up during our stays in Silver Gate over the years.
