  My friends and I arrived for a weekend of relaxation, and got plenty of it at Valhalla. The cottage is clean, bright, accommodating, an easy walk to the beach, and in close proximity of many wonderful restaurants. Since we were there during cold months, we were able to watch cable tv, and movies. Beds are comfortable, good parking, and had we been there during the summer, they have plenty of items for an enjoyable time in the sand and sun.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  The pictures don't do this house justice. My wife and three kids stayed here in October and it was amazing. The owners have thought of everything and it's stocked with everything except food. It's extremely clean, comfortable and relaxing. Being so close to the beach made it easy with the kids, and having a pull-cart supplied to haul your gear was a life saver. Would highly recommend this to anyone. We're hoping to return every year!

  we were 3 families and we felt really comfortable at home! the house was completely furnished...and there was everything available to do basic cooking! it was jus 2 min from the beach! enjoyed the breezy days and starry nights at this wonderful home! would strongly recommend it to anyone!

  We had a wonderful time in this "home away from home". It was so obvious from the time you walk in that they have taken incredible care to make each guest feel welcome. It was the most immaculate house I have ever seen! Just like you want it! We were thrilled and will definitely come back.

  From the moment we walked into Valhalla we knew it was going to be a wonderful week.The house was extremely clean and well furnished. The owners did a great job with the description and photos for the websight. We loved that it was a less than five minute walk to the beach. All items to help make a great day at the beach are supplied by the owner. The house is located very close to supermarkets, shops and restaurants. If you are a golfer, there a plenty of courses to try. My husband played four different courses, none more than 30 minutes away. The owners are fabulous to work with! We highly recommend Valhalla for a 'perfect' week at the beach!!

  As another reviewer stated, the pictures don't do this place justice. Very bright, airy, cottage/beach decor all throughout with beautiful updated kitchen. Just enough room for our group of 3 adults and 3 children. Wonderful ocean breezes on the top deck. Many beach "extras" provided -- sand toys, beach chairs and blanket, umbrella. Kids loved cleaning off after the beach in the outdoor shower. Very short walk to the beach -- about a block. Great central location for all the sightseeing we did from Corolla to Bodie Island. Owners very responsive. Definitely recommend!

  We loved this beach house. It was perfect for my family , we spent a majority of the time at the beach , which was in walking distance from the home. The property was clean, and well maintained by the owners. It was a great first experience for the Outer Banks.

  My family of 3 stayed for one week and it's the best place ever! It's immaculate and peaceful. The neighbors are super friendly. The location is perfect, it's a walking distance from the beach. The shopping place, restaurants, place for my kid to enjoy are just close by. The owners are very accommodating and superb. We love the house, deck and all the amenities. Thank you and we will surely come back! Everything was perfect!

  This rental was very clean and cute. It was the perfect size for my family. The location is perfect - close to grocery stores, fun activities, and of course the beach. The owners are very easy to work with. I would definitely choose this house again. This truely is a home away from home.

  As I sat on the top deck, listening and watching the crashing waves, I knew I was in paradise! The house is what I totally except in a beach house. It has lots of windows to let the sun in, comfortable bedrooms, and the kitchen is like being at home. The decor is clean, exquisitely done, and comfortable. There is everything you need for a family vacation or just a couples get-away. The kitchen is fully stocked with all that you need, if you choose to cook. There is cable T.V., wi-fi (if you really want to spend your time on the internet) AND the view...What can I say abou the view. I would highly recommend Valhalla for a stay at Kitty Hawk. I will definately be returning
