Beautifully renovated 1899 Victorian home. Private, secluded and quiet, yet within walking distance of a unique collection of shops and restaurants, mineral springs, city parks, and even a one of a kind Penny Arcade. Experience the great atmosphere of this small mountain town in our comfortable Victorian era home.
The home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Enjoy the the view from the wrap-around porch, or the surprising privacy of the back yard living area and open space, where you will likely see deer and other wildlife.
Inside you'll find the home has been well appointed with antiques and period decor that will return you to the late nineteenth century. It's a place to slow down and unwind, a Victorian retreat. Play the upright piano and sing with family and friends, or read and relax as if you were living in a different era.
Manitou Springs is a small mountain community set in the foothills of Pikes Peak. It has a very walkable downtown which is only two blocks from the home. There are many great locally owned restaurants and shops and free mineral springs scattered around town. There is a also city park with a playground and stream only two blocks away.
For the more adventurous, the home is located less than ten minutes from numerous hiking and biking trails including Barr trail, Red Rocks park, The Manitou Incline, Garden of the Gods, Pike National Forest and much more.
If you've never been to the Pikes Peak region before then you are in for a treat, if you have, you know how much there is to see and do. The climate is generally dry and sunny and in the summer it cools down nicely even after the hottest days.

My husband, daughter, son-in-law, two grandsons and I recently stayed at this beautiful Victorian house and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location was perfect, just off the main street of Manitou Springs, and convenient to everything we wanted to do. The house was even more beautiful than we expected from the pictures on the website. It was very clean and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The surrounding scenery was breathtaking and we even got to see deer in the backyard most mornings. The owner, Michael, was available anytime we needed anything. Our whole experience was pleasurable and we would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay with beautiful surroundings in the Manitou Springs or Colorado Springs area.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

Four couples rented this house, which is just a block or so up from Manitou Ave., easy to get to the shops and restaurants without having to find a parking spot along the strip. We had room for four vehicles in the space behind the house. There are two outdoor spots, a patio off the kitchen with an eating area under a shade tree. A narrow deck runs the length of the second floor, room enough for a small table and chairs, and enhanced by a mountain view, The stairs off the deck to the parking area simplifies getting luggage to and from the second floor. The house is divided into a self-contained apartment on the first floor and another on the second floor. Both have two bedrooms, a kitchen, parlor, bathroom, and laundry. One of the bedrooms on the second floor is smaller than the rest, but you can stow your gear in a large room that is currently the parlor (which, per the owner, might switch roles with the small bedroom in the future). The lower level has an additional full bath and large dining room. The first floor kitchen is roomy and also has a breakfast table. Because of its age, the closet space in some rooms is minimal and there are some architectural quirks, but the larger common rooms offset them. The house was clean and appeared recently refreshed and the furnishings were in good condition. The wi-fi worked well. The owner is responsive and congenial. If we had another large group, I would rent this again.Recommended for: People with disabilities, sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

My husband and I stayed here with 7 other family members (total of 9) and we had a wonderful time. Even though there were so many of us it didn't seem crowded. It was wonderful to have a place so close to Downtown Manitou yet so quiet, peaceful, and senic. Additionally, living in this historic home gave made us feel as though we had stepped back in time! Wonderful place to stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+.

We had a wonderful stay at this wonderfully restored and maintained Manitou Victorian! The home was incredibly clean and well-equipped, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio in the evening and best of all, walking into Manitou for ice cream. We highly recommend this home!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

Our family lives next door to this house. My wife & I were curious about the extensive work we saw going on in the yards,so asked for a quick tour,, The owners were very polite, friendly, and actually entertaining showing us their beautiful world. We want to stay there for our 25 year anniversary, even though we live so close. This is a supreme experience for Anybody. It is perfect, Obviously jealous, I will say to you, it is a totally historical re-living of our grand parents days in and around this enviroment...Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+.

Wow!!! What a wonderful place to stay. We were there for a week and had a great time. We had several vistors...deer and chipmunks. The deer will come right up to the back deck to feed on the plants...they are beautiful creatures. This place has a great location, there is so much to do within a 15 minute drive...we found that a week was just not long enough to do everything there is so we plan on returning in the near future.Did you find this review helpful? Why the Owner Chose Manitou Springs:
It's a great piece of Manitou Springs history. built at the turn on the 19 century it has features from the period. It has a great wrap-around porch and Victorian architecture as well as many antiques that we've added to give it the feel of another era.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The home is located in a residential neighborhood on the edge of downtown Manitou Springs. It provides great walking or driving access to the many area attractions which makes it a great home base. In addition to being close to downtown it's very secluded and quiet, with open space beside the property where you may see deer and other wildlife. There is also off-street parking in the rear of the home which makes it easy to come and go and is a great plus in Manitou.
