Rental Includes canoe, peddle boat, & 2 kayaks!!!!!House has just undergone remodeling (May 09): new kitchen w/ granite counters and island; bathrooms modernized with full size showers, granit & tile; new carpet/tile/paint throughout entire house. The main lake view is spectacular enjoy it from the deck and bedrooms of this beautiful, two-story home or while eating in the spacious kitchen and dining room. Located on the main lake just east of Pea Hill Creek with a gentle slope to the water. Groceries, fuel, fishing supplies, and fast food is less than half mile by water or road at Washburn's Marina. New Food Lion, drug store, BB&T Bank, and restaurants less than 3 miles away at Eatons Ferry. Launch your boat just down the road and tie up behind the house to one of the three private deep water docks (10'++). (MapQuest 100 Pine Wood Acres Henrico NC)
Or you can relax on the large wrap-around deck while watching the family fish, swim, ski, tube, jet-ski, or just enjoy the great sunsets. The fishing is excelent (Channel & blue cat, bass, brim, sunnies, perch) from the docks or over 200' of lake frontage. Lake Gaston is a clean water lake you can eat what you catch or just throw um back.
As a guest, you can enjoy the use of three docks, waterslide, canoe, peddle boat, 2 kayaks all located at the property. Paddle to nearby island for a picnic. Bring your own life jackets. The spacious kitchen is newly remodeled and fully-equipped with everything you need. You can enjoy meals at the bar, in the dining room (total seating 12-13)or on the screened porch and expansive deck over looking the lake. Upper level has two bedrooms, two baths, great room, dining room, and kitchen. The master suite overlooks the lake with access to deck, queen bed, direct TV, and full bath. The second bedroom with full bed is located off the kitchen area. Guests w/ physical limitations or needing assistance will be comfortable in guest bathroom w/ 2 seat 48" show.
The great room is a spacious meeting place for all, with three sofas (one full sleeper sofa) reclining chairs, and 36 Direct TV and DVD/VCR. Lots of DVD/VHS movies provided. A single hide-a-bed is also available for use. Two additional bedrooms are located downstairs with walkout lake views; one bedroom with queen bed and cable TV, the second with pyramid bunkbed (twin on top and full on bottom), and double twin (makes a king-size bed) day bed with trundle. The bunk bed room is great for five to six kids. Please provide your own towels and linens. No telephone land line and internet is by wireless card (Verizon & AT&T work well)

PERFECT! In every respect. Celebrated my Birthday with our daughters, son-in-laws and Grandchildren. The house is awesome. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Living Room perfect gathering spot. Kitchen well equipped and large enough to eat in on the rainy days. Best part is the deck and the docks. We rented a pontoon and jet ski...swam for hours, really enjoyed the canoe and kayaks. View is amazing, coffee sunrises in the morning and relaxing sunsets. Our visit was a dream come true, this house is much more than one expects. Would visit again and hope we can, highly recommend. A true piece of paradise on the Lake. My thanks to the owner who made our stay most pleasurable.

We rented your house for the week, August 6-13. We brought our boat, and two jet ski's for the trip. The docks were perfect for being able to jet in and out whenever we wanted. Deep enough to leave them all docked for easy access. Your house was perfectly set up for our sleeping needs. We had 13 guests for the weekend, and dwindled down to 9 for the rest of the week. We take regular family vacations, but this was, by-far, the most relaxing ever. Thank you for letting us rent your house for the week. Looking forward to staying with you again in 2011.

We enjoyed our visit this Easter weekend so much that we are booking again for the summer. The house is the perfect place... it has the real "house on the lake" feel about it. Honestly, I wouldn't change a thing about this place. The owner was very considerate, kind and friendly to us. The view is fantastic. I love going to North Carolina and have been to this house once or twice a year for almost 10 years! i never get bored of it....its great for get togethers and reunions...fishing is great and tastes so good..! I cant wait to go again!

We spent one of the most relaxing weeks at this home away from home. The house is very nicely appointed and the view is fantastic. I had a great time here especially the fishing. Caught a huge bass among other things. Very comfortable home.

This was our third summer staying here and it was wonderful. The house has all the ammenities and the view is just incredible. The house is always in excellent condition, 3 docks to play and fish off of and always friendly neighbors. WE HAVE STAYED AT THIS WONDERFULL LAKE HOUSE SEVERAL TIMES. THE ACCOMADATIONS WERE VERY HOME-LIKE! THE KITCHEN HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO PREPARE A GORMET MEAL. WE LIKED GOING TO EATONS FERRY MARINA TO HAND FEED THE CARP AND CATFISH, BE SURE TO HAVE A BUBBA BURGER FROM THIER GRILL. THERE MANY SMALL BEACHES AND ISLANDS AROUND THE LAKE TO VISIT, SWIM AND PICINIC. BRING YOUR BOAT AND HAVE A BLAST!
