Chuck's hospitality was amazing. Our cabin in the woods was the perfect place to get away and relax for the weekend. We could hear the gurgling of Chelsey Creek as we sat in the rocking chairs on the back porch. Beautiful woods all around, a warm fire, and a jacuzzi. We cooked, relaxed, and watched the stars drift across the sky each night. Thanks again for such a memorable and magical trip!
Owner response:You guys are welcome to come back to the mountains anytime you can get away. Enjoyed having you here with us.

What an incredible place! Wonderful inn-keepers, beautiful views, and a perfectly cozy cabin -- they've thought of everything one would need - right down the hiking sticks by the cabin door! Perfect location for our honeymoon - beautiful night sky (not a drop of city light pollution) for star-gazing and crisp mountain air to blow through the bathroom windows while enjoying a bath... it was the epitome of serenity! We will be back to visit again!
Owner response:So glad you guys enjoyed your stay in our mountains, and look forward to your coming back again - 1st Anniversary?? Thanks, and Buzzy and John Henry miss you already.

My husband and I were actually traveling to the area for a meeting, but didn't want to stay in a hotel. We stumbled across Chesley Creek Cottages and thought the 18 mile drive might be worth the mountain atmosphere. Man, were we ever right! We visited the cottages at the peak season in autumn, and it felt like we were in heaven! We didn't actually meet the proprietors, however, their hospitality was apparent. We returned one afternoon to home-baked cookies. The cottages are well appointed with comfortable beds, huge soaking tubs and plenty of books and music to relax to. There are nice decks on the cottages, with hammocks for lounging, and a place for a fire if you want to roast marshmallows under the stars. Don't plan to use your phones or internet...this is a great place to spend time with your loved-one without interruptions. It is a nice drive, and there are wineries close by if you like to visit new places. I am really sad that this year, the cottages are already booked for our planned weekend away. I will reserve earlier next year!

My husband and I loved the weekend we spent here-- far enough from C-ville to feel like we were on our own, close enough we could dip into town to roam the Pedestrian Mall and eat at yummy restaurants. Honestly, we could have simply stayed at the cabin the whole time-- every need was anticipated, every whim indulged. We're definitely planning to return!

We had the best time at this cottage! Even though the square footage seemed tiny while we were reading the ad, upon arrival, the cottage seemed huge because of the open ceilings and the beauty of the decorating. Everything that anyone could possibly need was supplied, yet the cottage didn't seem cluttered in any way. The view from the numerous windows was outstanding and the lack of TV was an extra special bonus! We plan on returning as often as our schedules allow. ~Sharon and Randy, Deltaville, VA
