  We stayed in the South Palms Villa for 5 days in June 2009. We first noticed that the homes in The Retreat were very close together, as is usual in most subdivisions. But once we made our way out back, you don't have to worry about lack of privacy. The neighbors on the left side are situated at an angle away from you, and the neighbors on the right have a privacy fence. There is a slight incline to the backyard that keeps the back neighbors private as well. The inside of the home was just as described. No surprises there. Absolutely gorgeous. The master bedroom is huge and travelling with two teenage girls, having a bathroom for everyone was wonderful! The great room and kitchen area is an open concept with plenty of space to relax. Not that you will be spending much time there, as the brilliant pool and spa is definately the focal point of the home. We had a great time in the home. It was very well kept and clean. The property manager arrived the next morning to "Meet and Greet" us which was a nice relief so that we didn't have to rush out to finish any business at the company's location. The home's location is right off of US27, and as you leave Legacy Park, turn left and you are less than 5 minutes to 192, and turn right and you are about 5 minutes to I-4. Very close to Disney and SeaWorld and plenty of resturants and shops located close by. The only negative I could say, and this isn't really even a negative, would be that the description shows another TV in one of the twin rooms which wasn't there. And there were no extras such as toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent, garbage bags. We did purchase some and left for the next guests. Anything else you may need is already there in the home...all kitchen ware, bath towels, and even beach towels for the pool. John and Susan were very easy to communicate with via email and answered any questions we had promptly. We were very pleased with our stay at South Palms Villa and will definately return for our next trip to Central Florida.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  Owner response: We would just like to point out that there was a problem with the tv in the twin room and unfortunately we were unable to replace it for this guests stay. It has now been replaced. With regards the toilet paper etc. Toliet paper is provided in all bathrooms, also a few dishwasher tablets and a couple of garbage bags. However, as this is a self catering accommodation there is only enough to last the first few days of your stay. We ourselves have previously stayed in other self catering accommodation in the area and have found that this is the norm.

  This was our 3rd Villa we've stayed in and it was by far the best. Clean and spacious with a large pool to relax in when not at the parks. We arrived late at night and the welcome lights were on for us and we were also greated the next morning by the Villa manager who introduced herself and was friendly and helpful. The sun was on the pool area until around 3 or 4pm when we stayed in April. This was ideal for us as we spent many mornings lazing around the pool before hitting the parks in the afternoon and evening...dipping our aching feet in the hot tub upon our return. The whole house was immaculate and there was nothing that we could fault. The location is ideal for the 192 with a Wal-mart and numerous restaurants along the way to Disney. The estate was quiet and although not gated we felt safe and secure. The owners were very helpful from initial enquries through to booking, and any information we needed before and during our stay. They always responded promptly to our emails and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. We would definately recommend this to anybody who is looking to stay in Florida and wouldn't hesitate again to book this Villa when we revisit Mickey again.

  What a great house. Was like walking into the pictures of a magazine. Well maintained, clean, wonderful staff, no surprises. Location great to all attractions and lots of places to dine. What more can we say. Look no further. Would rent this house again and highly recommend to others. Owners should be proud of this house!

  Stop looking for a villa because this is the best villa. I searched loads of sites and selected this villa. My stay was brilliant. The photos dont show how big and spacious it is. The pool area is big and the layout well thought out. Every extra you could need ( dvds, games room, plenty of towels etc). The location is a few miles from a big walmart and a mile from a publix. 15-20 minutes takes you to the front door of all the Disney parks. Universal is 30 minutes but you come back through the hwy 192 which is full of Restaurants. All my dealings with the owner and their management company were professional and excellent. A lovely tidy, well maintained villa. I have recomended it to all my friends.

  Hi guys We spent 3 glorious weeks here after a friend recommended it to us. Obviously, we went on the Internet, had a look at the photos and read the reviews. All seemed to be positive. When we arrived, the photos didn't do it justice. It was huge, spotless and very obviously well maintained. This is one of those holiday homes you wish for, but seldom do they meet your expectations. Well this one does and more besides. It is a home, not a holiday property. We found everything we needed for our stay was here, even inflatables by the pool. The kitchen had everything needed for any meals we wanted to make if we chose to eat in, or it's location made dining out easy. Just off State Rd 27, with it's links to Interstate 4 and the W Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, made it easy to get about. Aquatica, WetnWild, SeaWorld, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure were the parks we went to this time which were easy to reach. We didn't go to Disneyword this time, but it is as close as the others. Just down the W Irlo is a huge selection of restaurants. We ate at the Ponderosa for breakfast, and the park meal deals all got a sampling by us. Sometimes we stayed out for a late evening meal at Denny's or Sizzlers. All were reasonably priced. However, it was always a relief to return to South Palms Villa. Unwinding by the pool was a must. The 3rd week, meant we could have quite a few days chilling here, and we were always comfortable. Some holidays can be stressful trying to fit everything in, this one wasn't because staying here for 3 weeks just felt right. We felt at home. We really cannot speak highly enough of this home, it is simply gorgeous and we will look no further the next time we are going out to Florida. I have even changed my Facebook picture to one of the Villa, with myself, 2 boys and the rental Camaro on the drive. The wife took the picture. You will love it as we do.   We got back home yesterday from the 2nd visit to your villa and just wanted to let you know the villa was immaculate, the location was perfect and none of us wanted to leave. We would recommend your villa to anyone, indeed I will be recommending your villa to all our families and friends who are thinking of going to Florida. The standard of your furniture and decor is very high. When we go again(which we will) we will come and stay at your home again.It is ideally located for Disney & Universal, but has all the home comforts of your own home with a pool, spa and a games room thrown in for good measure. There is plenty of space which means that 2 families could share without getting on top of each other.Thank you for sharing your home. We would be happy for any prospective guests to contact us if they wanted any more clarification.

  After staying at South Palms in October 2007, when we decided to visit Florida again in September of this year we knew exactly where we would be staying.With it's lovely home from home feel and the fantastic pool and spa our holiday was once again perfect.Now we are back home and freezing cold no doubt we will start thinking of our next trip tp Florida but one thing is for sure we will have no doubts where we will be staying.Thank you for letting us rent your lovely home.   We (one adult with three teenagers 19, 14, 14 for 10 days in July 2009) had a great stay at South Palms Villa. Large rooms, extreme clean, very warm decorated. The large pool is great, the pump is a little loud if you want to sleep longer after a long day in Disney parks, but Marie helped us very fast and friendly to reprogramme the system clock. The kitchen is very large and well assorted, exept the cooking area. For a new house like this the hearth is very old fashioned. The spiral heaters are not only extremely inefficent you risk a long time for cleaning. But there are several restautants arround. For the Disney parks use better the I-4 instead of the shorter way over the 192. On 192 are so many lights and so a large traffic you may stand more than you drive. Wir (1 Erwachsener und 3 Teenager 19, 14, 14 für 10 Tage im Juli 2009) hatten einen super Aufenthalt in South Plams Villa. Grosse Räume, sehr sauber und sehr schön dekoriert. Der grosse Pool ist sehr angenehm an heissen Tagen. Die Pool-Pumpe ist zwar etwas laut, aber Marie, die Managerin vor Ort, hat uns sofort geholfen, die Schaltuhr neu zu programmieren, denn nach langen Tagen in den Disney Parks möchte man doch etwas länger schlafen. Die Küche ist sehr gross und gut eingerichtet. Nur der Herd ist sehr altmodisch und extrem ineffizient mit seinen Spiralplatten. Man riskiert stundenlange Putzarbeit. In der Umgebung hat es aber viele Restaurants. Der schnellere (aber längere) Weg, um in die Disney Parks zu kommen, ist über die I-4 statt über die 192. Die 192 hat so viele Ampeln und so viel Verkehr, dass man häufig mehr steht als fährt. Ich kann das Haus aber sehr empfehlen, es hat ein gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.

  The best villa we have ever stayed in, it was amazing! its huge!! the little touches when you walked in made it extra special, the house is well stocked with everything you could think of, my son and husband loved the games room, thats when you could get them out of the pool! it was lovely after coming home from a long day at the theme park to just kick off your shoes and walk barefoot on the lovely thick carpets and relax on the huge sofas! i would recommend this house to anyone who was thinking of booking this house. do it now!!!would definatly book even if 3 of us go, cant say enough good thing about it. close to shops and restaurants which are always a bonus.

  We had a fantastic time in Florida at the parks and attractions. Your home is amazing and ideally located for everything. We spent plenty of time in the pool and the spa when we weren't at the parks. The house is furnished to a very high standard and there's plenty of room for 2 families. We found everything as described on your website. The next time we visit Orlando we know where we will be staying.
