You will not be giving up creature comforts to enjoy the "Old Tahoe" charm of this dog friendly Lake Tahoe ski lease and rental home. Enjoy the towering evergreens as you relax in the sun on more than 700 square feet of decks. Use the gourmet gas grill for a mountain air BBQ. Soak in the outdoor hot tub or share special times with family and friends around the gas campfire ring.
With just the push of a button, warm by the cozy living room fire. Gather around the dining table for games while a CD plays in the background. Or watch cable TV, use the free high speed wireless internet, or watch DVD’s or videos. The fully equipped kitchen with its new gas range, microwave oven and stone counters makes dining in a pleasure. There is a ping pong table in the garage for kids and adults alike.
Eight to twelve can be accommodated in comfort and style. The "Oak Leaf" master bedroom with a king-size bed and the "Pinecone" full bath are on the ground floor. Upstairs, the "Forest Fern" bedroom offers a queen-size and a double bed. "Camp Run-A-Muck" is a large dorm style room with two single-over double bunk beds, a foozball table, TV, VCR and CD stereo. There is a half bath on the second floor.
During the summer months guests have access to a shared pier, buoys (as available by reservation), community swimming pool, grassy lawn area with snack bar, sand volleyball court, and tennis courts. The pool is open from mid-June to Labor Day. NOT ALL AGATE BAY HOMES HAVE ACCESS TO THESE FACILITIES BUT THIS HOME HAS FULL ACCESS. Lake Tahoe, Carnelian Bay, and Patton Beach (dog friendly) is a short .5 mile walk from the home. There is plenty of off-street parking. The charm and amenities of this cabin will keep you coming back year after year.
This dog friendly Tahoe rental home is fully equipped with free high speed wireless internet, linens, bath towels equal to the maximum occupancy of the house, spa towels, pot/pans, dishes, microwave, coffee pot, TV's & DVD's, washer & dryer, and barbeque. The house will also provide a starter set of toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.

Why the Owner Chose Agate Bay
We really enjoyed the log construction of the home and the natural ambiance of the home. As we continued to look at homes in the Tahoe area, we really enjoyed the Agate Bay area and that this specific home had access to the community swimming pool, tennis courts, and pier and buoy field.
The Unique Benefits at this House
In the summer, you will enjoy the large redwood deck that includes the hot tub, patio furniture, and fire ring (who need to camp to have smores?). You can also walk to Patton Beach (dog friendly) and Carnelian Bay (Gar Woods restaurant, CB's Restaurant, Miniature Golf Course, and more). The home is 3 miles from Kings Beach where the best grocery store in Tahoe is located (Safeway) and is only 7 miles to Tahoe City for shopping, restaurants, river rafting, and more.
In the winter, the home is centrally located to Northstar, Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley so you can go to the best resort based on weather conditions and ability levels. The home is also located just 5 miles from Lake Tahoe Cross Country, 5 miles from the north shore casino's, and you can start a snow shoe trip just down the street.

The Taylor home was absolutely wonderful for us. We brought our 10 month old along and with his nap schedule and such, I ended up spending a lot of time in the home while everyone else was out enjoying Tahoe ?but I didn't mind a bit. The beautiful deck and cozy home made my time there quite enjoyable. We are hoping to plan another trip next summer and we'll likely base it on the availability of this delightful Bears Den!!

FYI, there is adult swim from the top of each hour to 15 minutes after the hour. The remaining 45 minutes in the hour is for all ages.
