"We are four retired couples who travel together once a year--this is our 10th trip and 10th vacation rental home. Everyone agreed this house was the best one ever. Four bedrooms and four baths was a must have for the group, but probably the standout was having two living areas. The one upstairs had an expansive view of the ocean and, yes, we saw dolphins, whales, and sea otters. The living area downstairs had room for reading but also for TV. The dining table had more than enough room for all of us. Almost everyone took advantage of walking on the beach which took no more effort than stepping out the door and down a few steps. Our Cayucos vacation was perfect because we had a perfect place to come home to each night."

"We loved this house! We were two families with 4 kids and the house fit our needs perfectly. Light and airy, clean, roomy, comfortable and the best equipped kitchen I have ever seen in a rental. The owners were very responsive to feedback and obviously take pride in their home. The house is across the street from the beach allowing for a great view and easy access. And no crowds. The outdoor shower was wonderful and there is easy access to another bathroom/shower from the outside. Great location..although not walking distance to Cayucos it is a short car ride to Morro Bay, Cayucos, and San Luis Obispo. Would have loved more outdoor furniture but maybe that comes out in the summer. We could have used one more bed as the trundle/bunk bed room can be crowded but we all managed.Recommend without hesitation."

"We stayed a week with our family 6 adults and 4 kids ages 11 to 6 years. We rented the extra downstairs room which I recommend if you bring kids. They loved it - it was the "fun" room with 3 double beds which was plenty for all the kids to sleep together. The downstairs has 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds - nice for the parents. Also downstairs, there is a den with TV, roll top desk, fridge, 2 couches and more dishes. There is a Weber BBQ which takes charcoal and lighter fluid - it looks pretty new. The WiFi connected well. The laundry room is downstairs but bring laundry soap. There are plenty of towels for everyone. The Jacuzzi is very nice the water was clean. Upstairs the kitchen is as all the reviews say it is, large and well stocked with dishes, pans and cooking utensils. We had 4 cooks in the kitchen and it accommodated us all. It has a nice view upstairs!! There is a good size wall TV with disc player in the living room. There are some books, puzzles and games in a cabinet next to a free standing fire place. If you rented the extra room there is a ping pong table. The master bedroom has a very comfortable bed. You can hear the ocean and far away seals-very relaxing. There is a second bathroom upstairs along with another bedroom with a queen sized bed. Although, this house is not on the beach it's a short walk to the beach and the main street with a market, shops, restaurants and 2 fun antique stores. We met the owner and he is a very nice guy. There was a small issue in one of the bathrooms and he was there the next day to fix it.
The comment I will make is to communicate with the owner well in advance of your arrival, if he hasn't contacted you first. I didn't get the code to his house until the day of our arrival and it made me nervous because so many of our family were to meet at the house and I didn't have the code to get in. He did respond to a text message so all went well. Also, there is a code lock on the extra downstairs room door so if you rent that be sure he includes that one as well. One of our little ones closed the door and we didn't have the code (another text to the owner). This is a clean & comfortable home and if you like quaint & quiet little beach towns with a group of people this is your place. We are all discussing another trip next year and hopefully we can get this house again. I can highly recommend this house we all had a wonderful time!!"

"We were fortunate enough to have an opportunity to stay in Judy and Ken's ocean front-home in Cayucos at the end of May and it was a magical week in every way!!! If you can't get enough of the ocean this is the place for you; the huge deck and floor to ceiling windows in the living room allow for 24/7 ocean access whether it's enjoying wine on the deck at sunset or coffee by the fireplace on a foggy morning. Add to that the joy of being able to bring your dog and experience their joy in being able to run free all day every day, chasing birds, chasing waves, being free. Add to that the most beautiful stretch of California coastline, where old California beach towns like Cayucos meet the rolling hills of wine country. There's Cambria, San Luis Obsipo, Morro Bay, Hearst Castle to explore and it's all close and easy. You can go out for nice meals or bring back to your deck fish tacos, chowder, fresh seafood and shrimp cocktails from Giovanni's market in Morro Bay, and the most AMAZING fresh smoked albacore tacos with secret apple/celery relish from Ruddell's Smokehouse at the Cayucos pier. All of this comes together so perfectly, starting with this lovely beach home as home base. Can't wait to return!!!"
