  • Comfortable, well-located & versatile beach house

"Our family stayed at the Beachcomber Cottage for 2 weeks in August, three seasons in a row, which should tell you something. A very comfortable, well stocked house with a versatile floor plan that allows for simultaneous, separate indoor activities in the evening or when weather doesn't cooperate. Long Beach a couple of houses away, and Good Harbor Beach a 5 minute bike ride or less than 15 if you're walking. A popular ice cream place up the street, and groceries, liquor and fresh fish all within minutes. We spent most evenings grilling on the generous deck, overlooking a very large, landscaped, private yard. Plentiful parking and a garage for storing bikes. We recommend the house without reservation."

  • A great locale on the North Shore

"We wanted to spend some time exploring Newburyport and surrounds, and the Carriage House provided a wonderful place to call home while we did just that. It had everything we needed to cook, relax, and get organized for our excursions. It is an easy walk to the riverfront, and we enjoyed seeing the historic homes and museums along the way. We loved the beaches and bird watching on Plum Island, and even took a day trip out to Gloucester and Rockport. Thank you for your hospitality! We have fond memories of our stay at the Carriage House, and the amazing Linden tree!"

  • Lovely place!

We went for a week in July 2014 and spent a wonderful time in Newbury and around. The apartment in the basement offers anything you need or could need, e.g. a charming collection of films on VHS. :-) You can see that a lot of love for detail went into the furnishing. The bathroom is very big and a washing machine and a dryer are available there, too. The beautiful and quiet garden offers plenty of seating and you may even use the little pool or the BBQ. Michael and Cindy are very nice and incredibly helpful landlords and can offer great tips (Go to Stephanie's Village Pancake House in Rowley for breakfast!). Don’t be afraid to ask them. It’s only 5 minutes to Newburyport (for any shopping) and 1 minute to Tender Crop Farm (for fresh produce). Just one suggestion if you are a light sleeper: You might want to use earplugs, since you can hear some noise from upstairs. Thank you, Michael and Cindy, for everything!"

  • Marblehead's Hidden Treasure

"This was my first visit ever to Marblehead, Salem & Boston. The house on 54 Lee Street was amazing!!! As soon as you walked into this house, we fell in love with it!!! It was very clean and very comfortable. We had a party of six people and it easily accommodated all of us. This house possessed both qualities of a historical and modern feel. The house has so much charm and character. The location of the house was close to Salem and only a short train ride away from Boston. We had such a great time and would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Marblehead."
