  • 1st. Time VRBO

"The Lake Las Vegas area is a very beautiful and well taken care of area. We enjoyed the walking trails and bike trails. The unit we had was very quiet, we did not hear anything at night and slept very well. The local restaurants also had very good food and were only a short walk. We stayed 90 days and hated to see the time run out. Also watched desert sheep right off the balcony one day."

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a great time at Aspen Hideaway. The property was easy to get to and was really well maintained. It was only a few minutes from Heavenly and the hot tub was perfect after a day of snowboarding. I'd definitely recommend this place to others."

  • Beautiful Vacation Rental

"We stayed in this beautiful condo for 32 days and loved every minute. The owners, Karin and Jim were very accommodating during our stay. The location is great, a short 20 minute drive to Las Vegas for excitement or sit back and enjoy the scenery of Lake Las Vegas."

The pool table was a great hit and had a lot of use during our stay. Phyllis and Katie were both very friendly and easy to work with. I would recommend this home to anyone whoi plans to visit Las Vegas and wants a great place to stay away from the chaos of the strip. Nevada Travel Tips

Activities and Attractions at Nevada Luxury Home Rentals

If it's the bright lights of the Las Vegas strip that attract you to Nevada, you won't be disappointed. The many hotels, entertainment centers and casinos have a reputation for fun and excitement. Try your luck at the table or slot machines. You can also take in a show or see a live performance of your favorite artist. From Las Vegas vacation rentals, a great day excursion is to drive to the Hoover Dam. This impressive structure is one of the highest dam walls ever built. The hydro-electric system at the dam provides electricity to more than 20 million people in Las Vegas and Southern California. Other interesting sites nearby are Red Rock Canyon which has great rock climbing routes.

If you are visiting during the winter months, you may be surprised to know that there is a ski resort within an hour's drive of Las Vegas. Mount Charleston has some excellent downhill ski runs and snowboarding trails. Perhaps the better known region for skiing is the far northwest in the area surrounding Lake Tahoe. There are several top ski resorts that together have miles of cross country and downhill skiing trails. In the summertime, outdoor adventurers can explore the many hiking trails in the region. On the southern lakeshore, there are several casinos and resorts where you can try your luck. In the more rural parts of Nevada, there are miles of back roads exploring interesting landscapes. There are also numerous areas with biking and hiking trails to explore.

Best Time of Year to Visit Nevada Lodging

Even though Nevada has four distinct seasons, it is a year-round vacation destination. The summer months are hot and great for water sports and sightseeing. Outdoor activities can also be enjoyed as long as you are cautious of the midday heat. In the spring and autumn seasons, the temperatures are a little milder without being too cold. This is actually the ideal time of year to hit the trails. In the winter months, you can head to the ski slopes of Lake Tahoe or Mount Charleston. Naturally, in the casino cities of Reno and Nevada, there are no off seasons. Entertainment and fun happens all year.

Fun for Everyone in Nevada

Nevada is a state that has something for everyone. City slickers can enjoy the bright lights and casinos in Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe. Nature lovers can enjoy exploring the many nature trails and back roads. In the winter months, many skiing enthusiasts come to Nevada to enjoy the world-class skiing offered at the various resorts.
