  • Loved this home & had an amazing stay with friends!

"We had a great summer stay at this unbelievable home. We had 3 couples doing a reunion and this was the perfect place. The home was huge and had a really cool rustic feel to it- I have never stayed at a place like this one before and I loved it! Together, the group did zip-lining over at the resort, which was a thrill. The next day, the guys had a golf day while the gals went to the spa. We all ate at Helen's one night and then grilled out at home the next. The views and sunsets were just amazing off the deck- we didn't realize how high up we actually were. It was really nice just sitting out on the deck and hanging out with old friends and then heading inside for some pool competitions. It really was such a fun weekend and reminded us that we need to do it more often! We can't wait to come back this home! Next time, maybe we will stay in the home in the winter and all go skiing... that could be trouble. :)"

  • Best VRBO ever

"We have now stayed at this lovely gem 3x. We have family in the immediate area and it works great to have our own place and great surroundings. Its about a 15 min drive to uniontown on country roads. The property is immaculate, and filled with all the supplies any gourmet cook would need in the large kitchen. The owners, Jeff and Karen are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back."

  • Secluded, beautiful setting

"Five of us stayed at the cabin for 6 days. The cabin was more than we expected. Although secluded in the woods, it had many of the conveniences of home. There was a dishwasher, as well as laundry and a drier. Since we engaged in many wet activities, the laundry facilities were very useful. Although it was a wet summer, the porches and the woods around the cabin had almost no mosquito problems. There is a flat screen TV with lots of channels, but why use it when there is so much natural beauty around. There is no air conditioning. Although we were at the cabin in August, we were quite comfortable. We brought extra fans but did not need them. The cabin has an outdoor fire pit as well as a grill. There is dry firewood under a tarp. There is poor cellphone reception, but the owners made the cabin telephone land line available. When we were not rafting or hiking, we made use of the kitchen to cook the tasty wild mushrooms that grow nearby in profusion. The cabin is affiliated with Beaver Creek Anglers and we had fun learning to do fly fishing. There were a lot of large trout in the nearby stream. We did not catch any, but we learned a lot from our fishing guide. (My home in Maryland is near a trout stream and I am going to practice my new fly fishing skills on the Gunpowder River.) The cabin overlooks a creek so you can have a nice view while you eat dinner. You do not see other people unless you drive into Ohiopyle. There are hiking trails right near the cabin, but the river and waterfalls of Ohiopyle Park are a short drive away."

  • Great group ski house

"I stayed at the ski house with a group of 18 people (late 20's/early 30's) and we had a great time. Linda was very responsive to my questions and made the whole process very easy. The house is very close to the ski resort and having the skiers entrance made hitting the slopes very convenient. The house is huge and there are plenty of living and dining areas so that the group could all be together, but could also break off into smaller groups and go play pool or have a card game or go in the hot tub. The house was very clean and well kept, had plenty of bathrooms and linens, had ample parking, and there were enough cooking utensils for our group to cook a large meal. This is a perfect house for a large family or group of friends to gather for a relaxing and enjoyable time together. Thank you, Linda, for a great stay at your ski house!"
