"Owner was wonderful, very accommodating. The bunk house with the covered lounging area was really nice! It made it easy to watch the little people as they fished from the dock catching little sunnies and while they playing in the water. Also enjoyed the 3 canoes and paddle boats, the Danbury playground, the ice cream shop, assortment of games/puzzles, bike paths, and the fur post was great. And next to no Mosquitos!!"

Family Reunion with family in from Ohio, NY and DC
"We had family in fron Onio, NY and DC arriving and leaving through out the first week in August. The front sunroom was great with the low windows, we at all our meals out there and enjoyed sitting around visiting. The layout of the down stairs was ideal, you could be in in the kitchen and still be part of what was going on in other parts of the house. The bathroom was beautiful and the newly finished bedrooms were very clean and comfortable. We rented paddle boards and had a blast paddling around the bay. We had my one year old great nephew visiting and the walk in beach kept him entertained for hours. One of the cool days we bult a fire in the sauna and enjoyed getting warmed up and some jumped in the water after. It was also great to have a large yard for lawn games and enough parking for all. We will definitely rent again for any future family reunions!"

"We chose this home for a girls weekend. The home was more than we expected; the pictures don't fully capture how wonderful this property really is. The homeowner was accommodating, easy to work with, and extremely helpful. The home was clean, comfortable, well equipped, and there was plenty of room for the five of us to stretch out and relax. The deck was a favorite place to sit and visit while enjoying the beautiful wooded view. We were well taken care of and hope to return again next year."

"This review is based on a family trip in late summer 2015. Cabin was basically a modern comfortable home located right on a lake, only about 15 or 20 minutes outside of Hayward. Overall, this was a really nice property and we would likely stay again. But like any place, not everything was perfect.
-Great location only a short distance from Hayward. Hayward has a number of great dining and shopping opportunities.
-Nice full size kitchen with stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, upscale sink and numerous cabinets. Many plates, bowls, glasses, pots & pans and utensils are provided. Be prepared to bring any and all food and beverages yourselves.
-Large deck on two sides of the properties. The back deck was great for enjoying the lake view or just reading.
-Wireless internet via Centrylink DSL was included. Speeds were relatively slow if you are used to fast high speed internet in cities, but any DSL in the woods by a lake is appreciated. If you want to spend your vacation watching Netflix and YouTube all day, stay home.
-The master bedroom upstairs is large and has a upscale bathroom. Two bedrooms are located on the main level. The loft has a futon and a large Lovesac that can sleep a few younger folks.
-There is a full sized washer and dryer in the basement.
-DirectTV HDTV service.
-The basement had a small assortment of tools and supplies that I used to fix a couple of squeaky doors and loose screws that we encountered. These were just normal everyday problems that any homeowner should expect, and not a complaint about the house.
-The homeowners provided a few binders that had useful information about the house, the nearby lakes, and things to do in the area.
-Numerous ATV and biking trails are nearby
-Making the rental through Northwoods Compass was easy and professional. No complaints.
***These are provided as constructive feedback. None of these would prevent us from considering this property in the future***
-The water had a poor tasted that none of us liked, even some of us that used to country well water. We used bottle water for everyday drinking and making ice cubes.
-Permanent fixtures and appliances in the house were top rate, but short lived furniture was one of our strongest dislikes. The beds were uncomfortable, the two love seats in the living room were uncomfortable for both young and old, and the dining room table was wobbly.
-Fishing in late summer was poor for us."
