Great Location and Charm
Wonderful location near metro, grocery store and bakery. Surprisingly quiet location (stayed in July). Beautifully and comfortably appointed.

A Real 18th Century Parisian experience
I have been to many countries in Europe and my family and I have used VRBO and not once have been disappointed. This rental was the most I've ever spent on a rental or hotel yet it has been the most disappointing. I've stayed in smaller places, but never felt this confined. The small sofa is very dirty and should be cleaned. I hated to sit on it. The chairs some might find vintage, I found old and hard to get up out of them, the leather is cracked and the seats of the chairs have sunk to the cracked wood floor. I see why pillows were placed in each of them. The original floor could use much care as they seem to have never been restored/replaced since they were first laid down in the 17-18th century. All the junk items in the main living area are hard to maneuver around, because you are afraid you will break all the 18th century thrift-store glass on the different shelves. The Owners really should remove these items and hide them in their many blocked-off cabinets, especially if they rent to young families with small children. In one corner of the living room is a planter with sticks in it, which I assume was once a plant. Every time one tries to go around the table, you would get scratched by the sticks. The kitchen does not have a coffeemaker, only a pot to heat water which is full of old water scales that I could not clean out, so we did not use. The cabinets in the kitchen smell, I suspect because of nonuse. The sink pipes stink, we thought it was the water, but it really was the sink. Opened food that has been left by other renters in cabinets and fridge should have been cleared from cabinets and fridge. Salt, pepper, sugar and staples that have not been opened should be the only thing left in panty. Old food was left in freezer and fridge. If one decides to use the washer, specific instructions should be noted on which valve to use to turn on water, as I was afraid it was a gas valve and was hesitant to turn the valve on. Also be sure you are tall enough to hang the items of clothing in the bathroom on the poles as they are quite high and also make sure you have already taken a bath as you can’t take a bath with hanging clothes, because the poles are located over the tub. The toilet is in a closet near the front door of the apartment and not in the main bathroom. The beds, although hard, were clean and comfortable the first few days, but no clean sheets are provided doing ones extended stay. One could
Kneipe, Restaurants, Supermarkt, Bar-Tabac, Bäckereien, alles in direktem Umfeld.
