Home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

My family decided to do a last minute trip to NC mountains for some winter fun and to visit my Niece who is attending App State. I looked at many properties and quickly became dizzy and overwhelmed with the choices, until I came across The Spring Lodge. It was beautiful and perfect for our family get away. Upon arrival, it did not disappoint. The furnishings were gorgeous. The home was spacious and cozy. It was our home away from home. We spent our days exploring the towns of Boone and Blowing Rock...quaint shops and delicious restaurants...and our evenings around the roaring fire drinking hot coca and playing family games. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. There was an issue with the breaker being tripped upon arrival and Rich responded immediately. Pat surprised us with warm delicious scones one morning. The property is expansive and although we did not get a chance to explore this trip, we will defiantly be back in the spring. There is so much to do and see in the area and Rich and Pat have great recommendations. I cannot recommend this property enough!!!

Great retreat in the mountains

  • 5 of 5

I would highly recommend Spring was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Owners were very warm and welcoming. Close to some great hiking. Enjoyed our time on the front porch morning and night with a great view of the mountains and the sound of the stream below. Perfect spot for a quiet get away.

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Spring Lodge. It was exactly what we were looking for in our accommodations. We went for a family weekend vacation. We wanted something modern/updated, surrounded by nature and close to Blowing Rock. The home was beautiful and exactly as pictured. We had everything that we needed. The owners were out of town during the majority of our stay but they still checked in to make sure we arrived okay and were not in need of anything. We really loved the rocking chairs on the front porch. It was so peaceful to sit out at night and hear the stream and other quiet nature sounds. The location was great- just a short drive to Blowing Rock or Boone. We would definitely stay again!

We love staying here. We had 5 adults and it was the perfect amount of space. The layout of the living space was perfect, with lots of seating and good flow between kitchen and living room. The view from the front porch is lovely. The master suite is especially nice. Very nice hosts too! We met Rich just briefly. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
