We've lived on and off in Sarasota for approximately 20 years and love the area. We purchased these historically significant buildings in 2016 and have lovingly restored them so that Sarasotans and other visitors can enjoy them, too!

Why Kim chose North Trail
This property is a landmark property, steeped in Sarasota's rich art and cultural heritage. This property was part of circus magnate Charles Ringling's estate before his Mansion was built. John Ringling, his brother and the head of the circus, also stayed here. At various times, it was a boarding house and a circus performance venue. Today, it is a redeveloped gorgeous property with three buildings on a single parcel joined by a beautiful outdoor courtyard. It is across the street from the Sarasota Bay and just minutes to Downtown, and both Lido Key and Siesta Key beaches!
What makes this Hotel unique
You'll be steps away from a distinctive coffee and tea house, with a bookstore. There you can also enjoy wines, craft beers, and light bites. Check out The Reserve SRQ on the web; this is the website for the entire property. We are deeply committed to our guests and customers.

Very cool, friendly staff!
Funky and fun place. Coffee shop, wine/beer bar and bookstore on premises. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Great place to unwind.
Our stay was very pleasant. It was clean and cozy. With my strict diet restrictions, the kitchen came in handy. We were able to shop for foods that we could store in the kitchen which saved us from going to a restaurant. Going to restaurants is much harder for us due to our restricted diet. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning kept us cool. The only suggestion that I would have would be to add thicker windows in the future to avoid the traffic noise outside. People were very friendly and inviting and the entertainment, although we did not join, was fun to listen to as we were in our rooms. If we have to return to Sarasota, we will definitely stay here again and we would reccomend it to our friends if they ever visit your area.
Thank you very much for your review, John! We are so glad the kitchen came in handy for you and appreciate your kind feedback.
Based on the historic nature of this building, we have kept the original windows, but we have added additional noise-blocking curtains to ensure the room is as quiet and comfortable as possible. Again, we do thank you for your feedback as every stay helps us make The Reserve SRQ an even better place.
We look forward to hosting you and your family and friends again in the near future!
