Walk to all. Beach in front, just walk over to the Beacon's Beach access and down the path to fun on the beach, surfing, and enjoying walks on the beach. Great restaurants, wine bar, sushi, mexican food and take outs are within a few blocks of this house.
Enjoy the fabulous surf and sounds of the ocean before you, as you sip your morning coffee, or evening wine or fun Margaritas with some great Mexican food. Many Restaurants close, eat in or take out, Italian, Seafood, lots of places to decide between. Dine on your private 180 degree ocean view deck, or enjoy a quiet dinner in the dining room at home. 'Wow!' is what new guests say as they enter the living room and experience the wide open ocean view before them. Open your sliding glass door and enjoy the fresh ocean breezes indoors or out, in peace and tranquility to the sounds of the waves.

The living room offers a huge inviting fireplace, to view & savor the sounds and sights before you; the waves, surfers, dolphins, cruise ships, fishing boats and all of the marine life as it flows before your eyes. Take long relaxing barefoot walks on the beach, or take a short stroll/jog to the local boutiques or restaurants. Boogie board, surf or just read a book as you relax and sunbathe! Watch (and record) your favorite tv shows on the big screen over the fireplace. For the kids, we have added Disney Plus to keep them busy while you BBQ Grill on your patio overlooking the ocean front.

Hike in Torrey Pines or why not take in a round of Golf at one the World Class Golf Resorts? Spend a day at Disneyland, it is only a little over an hour's drive away. Or take the kids to Legoland, only 10 minutes from the beach house. Take a short trip to San Diego and enjoy the World Famous San Diego Zoo. How about the Wild Animal Park for a picnic?

Explore the Cedros Design District, Del Mar Plaza or the great Carlsbad Company Stores for shopping nearby, and if you happen to be so lucky to be here in the spring, the famous Flower Fields of Carlsbad are spectacular! (After all we are the flower capital of the world!)

When the weather is cool, sit in front of your huge crackling fireplace while listening and watching the crashing surf before you!

You will never get a better night's rest when you let the sound of waves and scent of the ocean lull you into a most relaxing night of sleep. Lock the courtyard entry gate, and sleep with your sliding door open in the master. Gentle breezes, overhead ceiling fan for experiencing a little "outdoors" in your comfy king bed.

Leave the house basically as it was upon arrival, help us get the house ready on time by: Launder the towels and put them in the dryer. Don’t make the beds, Leave dishes, pots and pans clean.
Place trash in plastic bags & recycle in the receptacles provided in the garage. Sunday trash night-No need to separate the recycles. Paper, aluminum, glass- recycle containers okay mixed together.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

It was a privilege to get to stay in such a wonderful place. The first night, I sat outside just listening to the surf below. We had 3 couples, 1 other adult and 2 toddlers. We entertained a dozen others in the spacious living room and the large terrace overlooking the Pacific. The hot tub was fun and one of us used the surf board that came with the house.

What a view

The home has a beautiful cliff view of the ocean and we were entertained by watching the surfers. Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy and in low 60's and the ocean even colder, so the hot tub came in very handy. However, we still enjoyed our time. Would definitely stay again.

Spring break surf trip

We enjoyed our stay. Location was fantastic with magnificent views of the pacific and close proximity to many good eating spots. Short walk to the beach with great surf but unfortunately beach doesn’t allow dogs. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Home is clean with lots of space. Great to have a jacuzzi to sit in after surfing. The home and the outside deck need some repairs. The owner’s were pleasant and helpful. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

This house is in such perfect spot with amazing views and plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. It also has the most well-outfitted kitchen of any vacation rental that I have been in. We will be back.

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with North Coast San Diego, especially between Del Mar, Carlsbad, Oceanside. I originally moved to San Diego from Orange County, CA where I worked in the hotel industry for some years. Eventually, I started booking not only my property, but found other owners here that wanted some help. The business took off, started in the year 2000! We originally bought this property as an investment and rented it out long term, but found that the vacation rental business was better and easier to care for the property as well as to have use of it ourselves. This location is incredible, so central to San Diego and Orange County- and an easy drive to Los Angeles when the occasion is required. You can get to so many places in a reasonable amount of time from the beautiful North Coast of San Diego.

What makes this property unique

The floorplan of this house is amazing for families to get together and has 50 linear feet over the oceanfront for the most amazing views all day and night- the evening sunsets are fabulous! It is so relaxing to be able to kick your shoes off, pour yourself a glass of wine or fresh ice tea, make yourself some lunch (or order locally), and watch everything happening from the convenience of your private patio. Lines of pelicans fly overhead or dive into the surf before you. Watch for the dolphins in the waves along side the surfers! No need to go out to brunch in an oceanfront restaurant when you are sitting front row over the waves, you are already there! Safe and secure, very private, and anywhere you want to go, it is probably found within 2 minutes to an hour. We take our fur baby Ace for walks along the one-way neighborhood street of Neptune into Encinitas, or just a block over to Coast Highway where we find great dining at the local restaurants. Or, we might just have our dinner oceanfront with the gentle breezes! The dining table and slate patio table are large for family and guests, and if it is cool outside, we 'dine in' watching and listening to the waves! A huge fireplace for cozy nights too! We love it, and so do all of our many guests. For those who like to cook, the kitchen has everything for your use, stainless appliances, a double electric oven, and large gas range. For beach goers, supplies are provided; boogie boards, umbrella, a few wetsuits, beach chairs etc. For grilling on the BBQ, relax and sit looking over the oceanfront while you grill your favorite family dinners, it's wonderful!!!
