Amazing adventure before busy school year

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at Horse Mountain with 3 of my teenage boys. They didn't want to come with us, because they assumed it would be another "boring" vacation with the parents. As soon as we got to the house, all of us were amazed by the beauty of the Ranch, it's surroundings, and the most stunning views of the Rockies. The house, with it's amazing Ralph Lauren style design was presented beautifully. Super clean, amazingly spacious, with the best bathroom amenities and a Gourmet kitchen. Being an interior decorator, I labeled it as my Dream House... (one day). And the teenagers: where do I begin? They had a vacation of their lives! Between hiking, mountain biking, zip lining, horse back riding, white water rafting, and fly fishing... to name a few.. Thank you so so much, for the most amazing opportunity to stay in this absolutely stunning house. The most important thing for me was to bond with my boys again! I am the coolest mom now and I have been officially accepted on Facebook by my kids!! Life is Good!!!

nice place but if something is wrong owners do not respond promptly

  • 3 of 5

this is a nice house nestled in the mountains. We had trouble with the internet and the Tv did not work in the entertainment room. After multiple calls and text the owner finally responded on our last day and wanted us to to stay at the house to meet a service guy. No way were we going to interrupt a precious day of skiing on our vacation to fix the owners problems very disappointing. Wanted to watch March Madness with the family instead we all huddled around the kitchen tv.

Another great stay at Horse Mountain Lodge

  • 5 of 5

Our second trip to the Lodge for family ski vacation. Traveled with wife, our 5 kids ,2 grandkids (2 and 4). The Property is truly beautiful. Large log home in a fairly remote area (25 min to Beaver Creek and 40 to Vail) but if your looking for privacy and natural beauty this place is hard to beat. Tanya made sure we had high chairs and cribs for grandkids. We will be back.

Great House and Setting!

  • 4 of 5

We had such a wonderful time at the house. The house and the setting was just stunning. We would definitely re-book the house. The only negative comment I have is that the mattresses in the bedroom that has four twins need to be replaced badly. They are completely worn out and terribly uncomfortable. Also, the normal check out time is 10:00 a.m. and we requested a late check out of noon, which was approved, however, the maintenance crew showed up at 9:30 a.m. to start maintenance/cleaning. We were having such a lovely relaxed Sunday morning until the crew showed up. They were very pleasant and friendly - it just put a damper on our morning and we all ended up leaving by 10:30.

Owner's Response: Hi Britt, you are absolutely right about the cleaning crew, I am fully at fault. I told you that you guys can hang out longer and completely forgot to ask the cleaning crew to give you guys a few extra hours to lounge. You are also correct about the 4 Twin mattresses downstairs, they are in need of replacement. We just ordered them and will be replacing as soon as they show up. I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to have you as guests in our home again!

Absolutely AMAZING

  • 5 of 5

the house is absolutely perfect for a get away, it has everything you would want from a hotel , in the comfort of a home. It was -6 degrees when we stayed, waking up to heated floors is a pretty good feeling
