PonoMana Oasis is nestled above the sacred Kealakesua Bay vortex.
Wake up refreshed every morning, immersed in a gentle symphony of bird songs. Enjoy your morning meditation, yoga or fresh PonoMana's Sacred Sip coffee on your private lanai.
Our Koi Cottage is perfect for a personal and transformational self-retreat or private getaway.
When you arrive you will experience what a perfect setting PonoMana Oasis is to support the type of rejuvenation many seek when coming to the Big Island.
The lush 5 acres of PonoMana Oasis is a private residence and a magical place to experience the Aloha Spirit and connect with the powerful and nurturing nature of Hawaii. The host lives on the property but you will most likely have the Aloha experience that you have the whole place to yourself.
At 950ft feet elevation, you will come to understand why it truly is the ‘perfect elevation’. Not too hot/dry, which it can be in Kona and closer down to the water you get. And it is not too cloudy/rainy, which is common the higher up the mountain you go.
Our private 5-acres is a sacred, eco-friendly (chemical/toxin free) private property well protected by storms the sacred pali (hillside) where ancient Hawaiian Kings and Queens are buried and Mauna Loa.
PonoMana Oasis is in direct alignment of the powerful energy lines and vortex where the Earth manifests strong healing and guiding energies. Ancient Hawaiians used these Earth energies as part of their own religious and spiritual quests. These same energies are equally available to us today if we respect, align and honor them. These earth energies that permeate our Sanctuary may aid in indescribable transformations.

A wonderful cottage surrounded by jungle, with a babbling koi pond out the front door. A local vibe with short drives to Kealakekua and Honaunau Bays, grocery stores, nice restaurants and shopping.Kitchen perfectly pointed for basic meals.Let the open air sounds of the jungle whisk you to sleep and wake you up in the morning.

Cozy, very clean with all amenities. Great support from Megan and owner Jeff. We really enjoyed our stay!
Loved the Koi cottage. Quiet and tranquil. Comfortable. Clean. The Koi pond and the turtle pond as well as the two Maw Caws were a delightful bonus. The location in south Kona is our favorite part of the island.
We had a great time, everything was as described and very private. The location is convenient to some great food and quiet beaches, and the frog and insect symphony at night is quite something. Would stay again for sure!
I had a wonderful 4 day retreat. Very quiet, peaceful, surrounded by nature. This is a special place, ideal for a personal retreat or get-away. Highly recommended.
It was the perfect little spot for just my husband and I. The space was awesome, great energy and all natural. The property managers were quick to respond when we contacted them. Close to several big attractions and fabulous places to eat. Grocery store also close by. Greatly enjoyed our stay here!
Nice property, pretty clean overall, definitely wildlife around and inside the house at times but that didn’t bother us at all. Would recommend and not far at all from Kona , quieter and away from the tourist side of things.
My daughter & I stayed here for her 12th birthday & it was perfect for us. Great location. It's a simple cottage, and super-sweet. Close to everything we needed. The owner has clear communication from the get-go. Would definitely recommend for a couple, a single, or two people who are happy being cozy with each other.
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary on the Big Island. What a gorgeous cottage and experience. The frogs and crickets put us to sleep. It was the best sleep EVER! It was so peaceful. We were very close to all the great snorkel and surfing beaches. We highly recommend!
My husband and I stayed here for a week for our honeymoon, and it could not have been a more perfect place! The owners are incredibly hospitable and friendly, and the property is stunning. The view off the deck is incredible while listening to the tranquil bird songs. We would definitely recommend this place to friends and would love to come back!
Nice small cabin in the woods. With a very detailed booklet (actually a size book) of rules, e.t.c
1 Mile to Captain Cook trailhead, near "Two Steps."
Very friendly owner. Fast responding property manager.
After a disappointing Kona Condo stay, this was a delight. I enjoyed the peacefulness, sounds of the jungle, and the coziness of the cottage. When we arrived we were greeted by two large parrots on the owners property, and a gaggle (?) of turkeys! various cats were spotted but kept their distance. The cottage was clean and inviting. Grocery and coffee shops within a few miles. The koi ponds and resident turtles were lovely. The Cottage itself had most everything one needs. The instructions/manual were VERY detailed, which was appreciated. The bed was very comfy, and shower had great water pressure and stayed hot without issue! We were there for a Tsunami warning, and one of our hosts, Jeff, made sure to check on us to make sure were were okay and comfortable. I stayed with my 12 year old son, who got a bit bored (no TV!) but overall also enjoyed the place. It would be ideal for a romantic getaway.
Best Kona experience I’ve ever had. Go by yourself or take a friend. A wonderfully appointed clean apartment in the heart of a beautiful jungle. Spent so much time there lazing, reading. Fell asleep each night, sung to sleep by a (quiet) orchestra of wild life.. all of which stayed outside the apartment (I think I meet one mosquito, the whole week, inside the apartment). Drove out each day adventuring (beaches, volcanoes, swimming with huge turtles/manta rays). Dined each lunch at a different great nearby restaurant. Pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable hosts who stayed out of your way (but if you texted them, near instant response)
We wanted the true island experience, and not what you get staying at a crowded resort. This property fit what we were looking for perfectly. We stayed in the Serenity Cottage, and it was surrounded by trees, vegetation, and nature. If you're not accustomed to hearing frogs, birds, and other critters at night or in the morning, then this may not be the place for you. Our cottage was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated having the kitchen and washer and dryer. Our hosts were so helpful when we had questions or needed help with anything. The check in and check out process was very simple. We're glad we picked this place to stay during our first stay to the islands.
I can't recommend this place enough! My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place without any prior knowledge of the area or that part of the island. We were instantly in love with the area and our stay at the cottage.
Once we booked we received a lengthy, detailed booklet about the cottage, attractions and history of the island. This was EXTREMELY helpful and honestly was one of the best parts of booking this place. It set the mood for the space, gave us options and things to start booking and explore. It also gave us some insight on island culture, tradition and lore.
The cottage was very cute and had all the amenities we needed. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets to keep warm on cooler nights. There were several outlets located throughout so we never struggled to find anything.
The hosts were responsive and very helpful. The energy they gave off was very calming and welcoming which so nice. We met with one of them and had lengthy conversations all of which were fascinating and friendly! The attention to detail of this place and our stay made us wanting to come back as soon as we were leaving home. They also asked for some honest feedback we had while we stayed to better improve the space and overall experience and all of it was taken seriously.
Again, we can't recommend this place enough. It was beautiful, calming and overall just made our experience better. I promise uou won't get the same experience staying at a hotel, 11/10 stay for us! Enjoy and just book it, you won't regret it!
