Spacious, home away from home. Exceptionally clean with everything you need. Loved the outdoor space and outdoor showers with a view. Gregg is welcoming and very informative to the island.

This is an amazing house! Perfect and beautiful equipped and very clean. Both sleeping rooms are nice and cosy and the beds are very good. In the kitchen you have really everything you need. Especially the balconies and decks around the house we liked so much. We spent a lot of time outside to enjoy the views. We loved to listen to the sound of the ocean all the time ! The owners were so friendly and helpful. Mahalo, for let us stay in this wonderful place !

Showplace on the Pacific

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful home, built with love by the contractor/owner. Every detail is well thought out and aesthetically pleasing including interior and exterior finishes, artwork on the walls, kitchen utensils and dishes, linens, etc. Loaner boogie boards and snorkeling gear provided. Two very nice outdoor showers on the deck; the deck is huge! Washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave, and stove and full oven provided. Layout of the house is unusual with master bedroom and bath separate from the main house. Please note that there are quite a few steps to get into the house, so if you have lots of luggage or any physical challenges that would be a consideration. Furniture on the lanai/deck was quite comfortable and there was even a bed with mosquito netting out there if you want to sleep or nap outdoors! One thing I missed was any kind of breakfast provisions, which most other places I stayed provided. Guests must take their own trash to the local transfer station, which is only open certain days. As I checked out on a day it was closed, I had to take my trash over the day before. Everything after that I took with me and threw away elsewhere. There were some cautions about using the house (e.g. no acidic items such as tomatoes or fruit directly on kitchen counter because it could cause damage), so this is not a place for people who are careless or cannot respect instructions. Please note that the road from the highway down to this home is very steep—use low gear. If you are uncomfortable driving on steep roads, you should probably stay elsewhere. There is a great view of the ocean and a small black sand beach and coastal trail right across the street. The place is extremely well-maintained and clean. Nice spot for your visit to paradise!

You will love this house.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this property during New years, it is an amazing house in a secluded area. There is no house directly to the south of this home. Meaning the two outside showers are completely discreet. The 4 double glass doors open the home to the ocean, it was one of my favorite features of the home. It really felt like we were outside but the screens kept it bug free inside. The home was very well kept and the kitchen is very functional. With the huge deck and BBQ we enjoyed cooking our meals. We also enjoyed the sunsets while sitting in the outside wicker chairs.

The master bedroom is separate from the main home and it is simply georgeous. The pictures don't truly capture to beauty of the home. The Master shower is outside but you have the option to close the curtain. I personally liked it open since there is only landscape to the south of the home. Another favorite of mine is the star gazing this home provides. It is truly magnificent to sit on the deck at 1am or later and see all the stars.

Finally, Whoever decorated this home did a great job. It feels like a home not a rental. All the appliances and decorations are top grade. The flooring is all top quality. We have 5 in our family and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep with plenty of room. It is nice to be together but it also provided everyone with their own personal space.

Thanks for a great place to rest and relax. I loved it and I'm sure you will too.

ALOHA!!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

Mahalo! What a wonderful vacation spot for our family. We were a family of four staying for two weeks on the Big Island and this wonderful home was the perfect spot to reconnect and relax! The home is beautiful and very comfortable for four adults - with plenty of space to bond or to have some privacy. The house is convenient to busy Kona but also allows for a quieter setting to enjoy beautiful sunsets and the warm Pacific. We especially enjoyed hiking the lava trails near the home, the great snorkeling right off the private beach and seeing migrating whales and spinner dolphins from the lanai. If you are planning a trip to Volcano National Park, the location of this home makes the trip so much more convenient. Gregg was an excellent source of information for our trip and made sure we had every comfort, as well as convenience. Beach chairs/ towels, umbrella, snorkeling equipment were readily available for our use - as well as two coolers if needed. We are thankful to our hosts for their hospitality of sharing this special place.

Paradise on the big island

  • 5 of 5

Gregg’s house was everything we hoped for — a true getaway from it all. A lovely location, great Pebble Beach, hikes near by, lots to keep kids busy. The house is very well stocked and Gregg is very helpful. Do suggest sticking up in food before you come as once you arrive, you won’t want to leave.
