My husband was born and raised in Ireland, while I was a Wyoming girl with dreams of seeing the world. We've been together 24 years and have enjoyed traveling the globe and also investing in real estate. We've both lived in San Diego since our college days and will likely never leave ... why would we? :-) Hosting is such a pleasure for us, as we thoroughly enjoy sharing this amazing city and our home with people who are here to relax, see the sites, and watch the unparalleled sunsets from the expansive deck.
Ronni Perks purchased this house in 2006
If you're looking for the true SoCal experience here in San Diego, this is the perfect home. It is what's referred to as a "California Bungalow", built in the 1920's with an architectural focus on cozy and private bedrooms, an open and expansive living area, and floor to ceiling windows to capture the ocean and night light views. The location could not be more ideal -- centrally located and less than ten minutes from the most popular tourist destinations.
We loved this San Diego house! We traveled with our daughter and son-in-law and our son so there were 5 adults. More than enough room for all of us. We also hosted a birthday dinner party for 9 with more than enough room and atmosphere for a great time. The views were spectacular, we had a different view every day and every time of day. We had the best spot in the City for sunsets. The photos don't do it justice. We had a great little backyard but never went back there :-). We were in walking distance of the Mission Hills quaint business district and enjoyed breakfast and dinner there after a nice walk through the neighborhood. We were centrally located and were able to get downtown, to the Zoo, out to Point Loma, to Coronado Island all within 20 -30 minutes depending on traffic. But, we always returned to this great house and it's view. The owner was available and responsive but we really only had a couple questions for her during the stay. Nice size washer and dryer available for our use. We would definitely stay here again.
We had the best stay here with our two kids. Loved the open floor plan, views and special touches (fresh flowers, ear plugs and sleep masks, and great toiletries)! The home was central to everything we did! Ronnie was an amazing host, accessible and went the extra mile for a special request that we had. If you’re considering this home, book it! You won’t be disappointed!
My family and I stayed here for 2 days for my brothers birthday. It was the perfect location to go site-seeing, only a few minutes away from downtown. Little Italy and Old Town. Definitely will stay here again!
