                                                    We were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived to this property. The photos don't do it justice. It was clean, very nicely decorated and much larger than we thought it would be. The bunk room is spacious, with comfortable bedding and again, very clean. We had a tiny issue with the wi-fi when we arrived, so we contacted the owner and someone was knocking on the door within minutes and the problem was immediately fixed. Very responsive and kind. The only thing that needs some attention is the entry to the driveway - it has a large dip in it, so you need to enter and exit slowly. Very close to groceries, dining, the PCC, BYU-H and the beach. Would definitely stay here again - in a heartbeat.

                                                    For the most part, our stay was good. The location is great if you are wanting to explore Oahu as it's a close drive to many of the main attractions on the North Shore. It's also a relatively short drive South to some fantastic places too like Kailua (just under an hour drive) where there is the famous and beautiful Lanikai beach, as well as the Lanikai Pillbox Hike. Honolulu is only about an hour drive away as well. The town of Laie itself has a few attractions but (in my opinion) isn't somewhere I would want to spend my entire holiday, but it was nice as a sort of base camp for my husband and I to explore the island. As others have mentioned, the beach across the street is also lovely. We watched sunsets there almost every morning and because it's quite private, even did some beach workouts!

                                                    My main issue with the rental was the sleeping arrangement. I didn't look into the details of the rental close enough and did not realize that the bedroom contains only two bunkbeds. Because there are no pictures of the bedroom, and because I had seen other couples post about their lovely stay, it didn't even cross my mind that there might not be a queen bed. Not only are there only bunkbeds, but the bunkbed mattresses are quite awful. I am only 26, so if my body was sore and achy after a night on one of them, I can't imagine someone sleeping on them with any kind of back pain or injury. I am 5 months pregnant and therefore a bit more sensitive, but even still. In my opinion the bunkbeds are suitable for children or a group of young friends travelling together. Thankfully we messaged Bryson the next morning and he told us that the couch is also a queen sized pull out bed. What we ended up doing is going to Target in Kailua and purchased a queen sized foam to put on top of the pullout couch mattress which ended up making it pretty comfortable. We left the foam mattress there in the bedroom closet as well, so hopefully future guests can have the option to use it for a more comfortable stay. For me, holiday is a timeI like to enjoy and catch up on sleep, so a reasonably comfortable bed is pretty important!

                                                    Everything else about the place was pretty good. Some minor things like having garbage bags or paper towel available to guests might be a nice touch. Maybe also getting the knives sharpened? I like to cook with good knives so I realize this is probably a luxury, but when they barely cut the delicious pineapple that is in abundance all around, it's quite sad!

                                                    What a nice place! It was perfect for our family of three. The close beach access was a major plus, and it was in walking distance of Foodland which was a great convenience. Walking to Foodland for coffee and then to the beach for sunrise all in less than ten minutes from leaving the house was perfect! The room was large and the bathroom was a great size, and the outdoor shower was perfect for rinsing off that nice Hawaiian sand. Thanks for the great property, and we’re looking forward to our next visit and we’ll definitely stay there again.

                                                    My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. While the property is small it was perfect for us. The house is very well maintained and had all the comforts of home. I would not hesitate to stay here again. We made a same day reservation request and Bryson responded within just a few minutes.

                                                    I would recommend a rug at the door to help catch the sand or wet feet in the event of rain. Also having a place to hang wet beach towels outside would be a great benefit. I would also recommend a queen bed replace the bunk beds, and utilize a sleeper sofa for additional guest.

                                                    We did have a little trouble signing into the fireTV but Bryson promptly responded to our inquiry and his site manger Kim, could not have been more helpful.

                                                    Beach access is immediately across the road, but the house is also conveniently located to many public beaches on the North Shore as well as public bus transportation. The area is well known for the local food trucks, but our favorite Spot was Seven Brothers at the Sugar Mill. We also went to Paradise cove for the Luau and it was well worth the trip. If you enjoy hiking, Diamond Head and Manoa Falls Trail are priceless. If you are looking for spirits, Long Drugs had a nice selection of wine and beer.

                                                    This was our first experience with VRBO and it was such a positive one, we are alread6 looking forward to the next time.
