Adorable and cozy. Bed was amazingly comfortable!

Great location, quiet and easy to assess downtown

Overall enjoyed the location, great directions but unable to assess Wi-Fi but with busy weekend course the need for Wi-Fi wasn't needed. Good recommendations for food options.

Great little place.....parking not great

Great little place to stay, but potentially difficult parking. It's two sharp narrow right turns uphill on uneven surfaces. If you have a low car or large vehicle I would recommend parking on the street, which does have limited space.

Adorable, quaint studio! Great location!

My husband and I came to Asheville to celebrate my birthday and I was so happy to have found this little gem! Great location, close to lots of shops and restaurants and only minutes to downtown! April Was easy to work with and very responsive! She made the studio super cozy w lots of great touches.. like the delish almond horns which I think I ate all of!! The lemongrass diffuser, the coffee etc! The only thing I would recommend is maybe getting a sound machine as you can hear the tentants above pretty clearly - we actually had a travel one as I am light sleeper, so it may not affect others. I would definitely recommend this studio and would stay again for sure!!

There is another short term rental above this one, and generally people are reasonably quiet and respectful, though it sounds like the upstairs guests while you were here may have been noisier than most. Our resident managers in the main part of the house are super quiet, friendly, and available if you need anything.

Sure lost my old Bohemian vibe

Good Instructions to find the place. Bed was comfortable and attention to the little details was there (Bottle of red wine, chocolate candy for 2, lavender oil by bedside…lovely.) The room smelled strongly Musty, walloped the nose upon entry and was always there. Had bought a ribeye to grill in the romantic yard. The grill was full of cobwebs and the grates filthy. The featured fire pit area was just sad, rusty and worn out. The couch was a wooden devon with some furry pillows…fine for a 16 yr old, not a relaxing space for an adult. Never again.

Yikes, this is painful to read as I see that we failed this guest. This was just after a plumbing leak that our handyman struggled to fix before this reservation, but the rushed repair to the sheetrock was just a bandaid, and we should have canceled the reservation in retrospect. The plumbing has now been fully updated with a completely new ceiling. (Maybe the musty smell was from the water damage before the repairs. It smells fresh and inviting now. ) Also, very few people use the grill, thus the cobwebs. This, we'll remedy for future guests. The fire pit may seem humble, but it is made of river stones brought from the South Toe River in Pisgah National Forest by our sons. It's great for sitting around a fire but not so grand as some. Regarding the daybed, we do state in the listing that it is only suitable for a child or a person no taller than 5' 4" to sleep on. Best to read the details of the listing to make sure it is suitable for your party. We take feedback very seriously and have learned much from this reviwew.

Peaceful Stay

I was in town for a training at UNC Asheville Police Department. This apartment was perfect for my needs. It was close to the department which made getting there easy. It was in a quiet neighborhood that allowed me decent rest after a long day of travel (first day) and a long day of training (second day). I walked from the apartment to Luella's BBQ for dinner the first night. My dinner was great and recommend for anyone staying. The only thing I was concerned about was watching TV at the end of the evening. I'm a night shift employee so I keep late/weird hours. With the AC window unit on, I had to turn the TV up louder. I was worried that I was bothering the residents upstairs. I've already discussed coming back here with my husband because we both want to explore the area and visit the botanical gardens. Thank you for a great stay!

Has some pros and cons, but listing needs accurate update

I am thankful for a good location, but the property is a bit more worn and torn than pictures and descriptions indicate. The top thing is that the "daybed" is not a bed at all. It is a wooden piece of furniture with a thin cushion-like thing on top. A young child might be the only kind of person who would be able to sleep on the "daybed". An accurate and updated property listing should say that this is a one-bed VRBO. The unit also smells like mold, and water damage is apparent, which would not be good for those with allergies. The kitchen cupboards were a bit sparse, and very disorganized. Cleaners had not put the items away in the cupboards with any sense of organization. The tea kettle still had water inside it, so I did not use it. There is a very old, worn hotplate, but there's no room to use it, so we did not. A more accurate listing of the kitchen would be helpful. (Another example - the fridge is very tiny - not a full-sized fridge.) I'm not saying this is a horrible place to stay. Some of the things that we found inconvenient might not be issues for some people. There are some nice aspects. The bed is huge, and comfy. The walk downtown was easily doable (though not safe to walk back at night under the bridge) But I would have liked to have a more accurate description of what we were getting into in terms of the house.

Note to future guests: This apartment has been updated and painted, and the water damage in the ceiling has been removed; in fact, the whole ceiling is now brand new. We do state in the listing that the daybed is only suitable for children or people no taller than 4' 4". It is a kitchenette, which is all the city of Asheville allows. They do not allow full refrigerators or stoves in short-term rentals in the city limits. This apartment used to have both, but had to remove them to comply with the City's laws.

Adorable Retro Apartment

This apartment was so surprisingly unique, the online pictures don't do it justice! Perfect for a weekend getaway with a small kitchen and VERY comfortable bed - it has everything you need including a full coffee and tea service, which was really appreciated each morning. Easy to get an Uber, close to everything - I would stay here again.

Nice property with old-fashioned feel

The property was clean and pleasant to stay at. The host gave great instructions on how to get to the property and gave plenty of advance notice on checking in and details needed to access, find, and enjoy the property. We stayed in the downstairs unit which was nice and easy to access. However, there is an upstairs unit. The property has beautiful wood floors but the wood floors heighten the sound of the footsteps of the occupants above. All things considered, this is a great property and I'd be happy to stay here again.

One night in Asheville

Super cute place. Convenient location yet nicely tucked away in a wooded neighborhood. Wish the weather would have been better so we could have enjoyed the backyard, but we stayed nice and cozy after returning from an evening out. Hosts were extremely responsive. Definitely would book again.
