Very clean nice unit in a great location
Awesome place to STAY!! We got a ton of snow and were able to push our vehicle to the limit to get out!! All appliances and TV worked great. Made a fire and had great meals.
Things to do better. More towels.
Very good time.
Great location! Loved to watch the sunrise from the window box seat every morning. Perfect for a family of 4 or 5.
Great stay at Cabin in the Woods
We recently finished a five night stay at the Cabin in the Woods, a great location in the 1849 condos, just a short walk to Canyon Lodge at Mammoth. The condo was perfect for our group of six with three adults and three children. The view out the living room into the trees gives you the feeling of being in the woods, hence the name, and faces east, so the sunrises are quite nice. The kitchen is well stocked. I will say the mattresses are a bit firm lol, but after hard days of skiing, it didn't seem to make a difference. We had a couple needs during our stay and the owners responded via email within a few minutes. I would have no difficulty recommending the condo, or staying here again. We did think the gondola ran down to the Village, but apparently this year, it stops at 5. I've been to Mammoth multiple times, staying in the Village, Eagle, and closer to town, and it is very convenient to be able to walk to Canyon, especially if you have children in ski school.
This place is great! Beautiful views of trees out the windows, big pretty kitchen and living room, big master bedroom and bath. The second bedroom with the bunk beds is a bit small and lacks much storage, but that's the only negative. This condo is very nicely furnished (don't know why that's so unusual these days) and big enough so we could have my sister's family over for dinner a couple of times. It's not ski in ski out, but it's really a close walk to Canyon Lodge, less than 5 minutes, so it's easy to come back to at the end of the day.
