Literally ski out your backdoor to Canyon Lodge and the Canyon Express Chair. This 1849 condo has absolutely the closest access to Mammoth mountain ski lifts making it ideal for skiers. If you don't ski you can stay at home and watch the skiers from the warmth of your fireplace. You will never have to move your car out of the underground parking garage during your stay at Mammoth. You can walk just steps to the Gondola for a ride to the Village and or use the free Mammoth shuttle which stops in front of the 1849 condos and can take you to the city center.

Relax in our 1500 sq. ft. condo that has a rustic Mammoth cabin appeal. The living room features a big screen plasma 3-D TV with Blue ray and a new home theatre system along with large DVD collection. There is a high speed wireless internet.The condo boasts 2 master bedroom suites with king sized beds and full baths and 1 bedroom with a queen bed and its own full bath and 2 queen size pull out sofa beds. The unit has its own washer and dryer just off the kitchen.

The club house features a heated outdoor swimming pool, 2 outdoor hottubs, 1 indoor hottub, sauna, pingpong table, lounge with big screen TV, and laundry facilities. In the summer enjoy the outdoor fire and barbecue pit and private outdoor picnic area.

We especially love Mammoth in the summer time. Activities we enjoy are bicycling,hiking, fishing,soaking in the hot springs, & visits to Yosemite.

We had a great trip. The condo was so nice and comfortable. We met with extended family and were able to feel at home. The patio is wonderful and had such a great view. My son loved all the DVDs. We would definitely stay here again and again. Thank you!

Great Condo, Location, and Value!

This condo was a great find at a great value. Location in the complex is closest to Canyon lifts on first floor with large patio access to the street. Parking is covered with 6’6” clear near main entry and 6’10’ clear at rear. We had cargo box on our SUV and just fit under rear entry. Two families easily fit in this 3bd/3ba vintage condo. We had 3 adults and 4 boys age 10 to 14. Boys were perfect in one room sharing king bed and sleeper sofa. Adults loved their own room with connected baths. Most appliances have been upgraded but we enjoyed the older décor and all was better than pictures represent. All beds were comfortable with plenty of extra blankets. Owners have many dvds for guests to watch, many board games to use, and even had 4 board sleds in front sunroom for our boys to use at the slope right by the side of the condo. A hike down to the village took us about 20 minutes or you can ride gondola down from Canyon until it closes at 5:00 pm. You can also utilize shuttle service which runs into evening hours. We took shuttle from village after dinner to Canyon and walked less than 5 min back to condo. Besides going to Vons, we didn’t need to use our cars which was ideal due to snow covered roads during our trip. Complex has two outdoor spas, one indor spa, outdoor pool (not heated during winter), and club room with sauna and foosball table plus ping pong table. Unit is accessible via stairs from garage or elevator. Owners are very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Will definitely book again. Thank you Tim and Becky.

This condo is not elegant, but is perfectly acceptable and the 3 bedrooms, each with its own adjoining bathroom is both convenient and hard to find. A+

Terrific location 100+_ yards from Canyon Lodge. Nice size open floor plan for kitchen, living room and dining room. Everything works and if not, the owners take care quickly and are nice to deal with.

We hope to rent in 2018 for the 3rd year in a row.

Lake Forest

Oldie but a Goodie

I must say that when I first saw the pictures of this place on VRBO I was a little turned off by the decor, but upon arriving and seeing the place with my own eyes I could see that it was quite charming and actually very well maintained. It had a very personal "rustic" touch, and it is really well stocked. We rented this place for a family vacation between Christmas and New Years and it easily accommodated 2 families of four. We had 4 adults and 4 toddlers (between the ages of 2.5 y.o. and 6 y.o.) and we were very comfortable. Though a crib is advertised in the description of the place it's more like a Pack and Play and might be too small for those of you who are still lucky enough to have your 3 year-olds sleeping in an actual crib : ). Despite this minor inconvenience the pluses of this place far outweighed the negatives, but I thought I might mention this for those of you who might be considering this place with youngsters because of the included crib.

The owners of this place were super helpful during the whole process of renting from them, and very responsive to questions all throughout our experience with them. They are definitely hands on with this property and take very good care of it and the people that stay in their unit.

The location was AMAZING! It was literally ~200 yards away from Canyon Lodge making it super easy to have lunch at the condo and walk back for an afternoon ski session. On top of that, we had a few issues getting our toddlers to love ski school so we chose to go sledding on a small hill across the street. Though the highlight for me and my wife was the skiing at Mammoth, my kids by far preferred the sledding we did on off-days from skiing (we skied 2 days and sledded 2 days). FYI sleds were provided. We walked away from this place with tons of memories created for our family and for that we are very grateful.

P.S - Press the button on the fish mounted on the kitchen wall! Tons of laughs and a great way to diffuse a fussy toddler who won't eat his dinner : ).

Plan on visiting Yosemite National Park when you visit Mammoth Lakes in the summer. Tioga Pass, the eastern entrance into the park is a short drive from the condo. Check to make sure it is open as they close the pass for the winter.
