Enjoy visiting one of the most popular beachfront towns on the Pacific coast of Mexico that continues to gain fame and popularity worldwide. Sayulita was first 'discovered' by surfers in the 1970's and has grown to be an international destination for families and couples through the years. A unique mix of authentic Mexican Charm mixes with gringo families, surfers and campers to create a bohemian vibe that is unique to Sayulita. Our home in located in the northern side of town, in one of only 3 Beachfront compounds, known as Los Delfines. This part of Sayulita is less crowded on both the beach and in the water.
One of only 11 homes, Casa Cascada, lends itself to early morning surf sessions, fish tacos on the sand and lazy afternoons with cervezas and siestas. The landscaped property reminds you of a 5 star resort, but the overall lifestyle is beach casual. AFter your first day, you realize how little you should have packed. Every day, the local Tamale lady and the Pastry seller, cruise thourgh the compound, offering fresh made goodies.
Our home has 3 bedrooms and two full baths (each with double sinks) that flows out to an enclosed dining area in the rear of the house with waterfall and ceiling fans. A full kitchen with microwave, lets you cook in. All 3 bedrooms have air conditioning for your comfort. Stroll down the beach to one of the many beachside restaurants for dinner or drinks at sunset. We feature a covered palapa in the front that steps down to a grassy yard and the swimming pool. The ocean is a short stroll through the compound to a sitting area above the beach and steps down to the sand.
Daily maid service is included and our local property managers can help set up a number of
activities including Fishing for Dorado, Yellow Fin Tuna, Red Snapper and Roosterfish. Also, our friend, Enrique, can take you to some primo surf accessible only with a boat. The beach offers two surf breaks: A Right for both beginners in town and a Left, which breaks over the reef close to the house. Both are a short walk from the house (past the Playa Bar!). Both surfboards and boogie boards can be rented on the beach as well as Stand Up paddle boards and kayaks.
The town of Sayulita has a number of festivals through out the year and features both art galleries, wine bars, night clubs and restaurants. New restaurants open frequently, many times as a second location for an already proven chef from Puerto Vallarta and you'll be delighted finding the newest dining outlet as you meet new people in town.

Fantastic place to stay in Sayulita
Casa Cascada is a lovely 3-BR condo in a well-maintained complex of about 12 at the beachfront. The condos are nestled around two small swimming pools amid lush gardens. Casa Cascada is at the street entrance to the property and is about 90 seconds to the beach. The location on the north end of Sayulita's beach means it is quiet and uncrowded, yet is only 10 minutes walk to the center of town. The condo itself was immaculately clean - and serviced every day by the housekeeper. We had 2 adults and 5 teenagers staying in the 3 bedrooms. The beds were comfortable. The teenagers particularly enjoyed the large private palapa (patio) at the rear of the condo where they could hang out on sofas and hammock. This was a perfect family vacation spot for us. (Note: we went in April and the weather was high 70s, dry, and no insects)
Beautiful place, wonderful stay
Excellent property. Well taken care of. It was a perfect place for our family!
Very beautiful. The manager and house keeper were very welcoming. The town and the beach was great
As much as I loved staying in Sayulita I was a bit surprised on the pricing. Sayaulita is a cash only town (which my family and travel partners had plenty of but that was for activities. We normally use credit card for dinners out but had to use more of our cash then we wanted. If you come to Sayulita bring extra cash if you normally use credit cards.
Our place was lovely. A five minute walk to the beach and a pool right outside our home. The owners of this home provided us with beach umbrellas and beach chairs, that was a welcoming surprise. The managers wife sells delicious fresh baked muffins for breakfast and there is a great breakfast place in town called choco banana. We bought a loaf of banana bread and a bunch of fresh fruit for our breakfasts.
The only reason I gave this a 4 star instead of a five was the lights. We had almost no light in the bedrooms to see to unpack/pack. If I could I'd give them a 4.5 because the lights were not that big of a deal but I would have lined more lights. Also there were a few spots that were unnecessaryly dirty. Under the kitchen sink was yuck. I know we had a maid but we clean while we are staying somewhere and that was a surprise, along with the dust pan for sweeping, we ended up using a box instead.
There is pleanty of space. We are a party of 7. 4 adults and 3 teenagers 14, 15, 16.
We would happily come back for a mini stay again but my heart is in Vallarta ❤️ For my full vacation time. Thank you Garry for letting us use/rent your beautiful space for a few days. Well worth spending time in Sayulita. 🌺☀️🐠
AMAZING!! Can't Wait to Come Back!
We recently just stayed a week in Sayulita at Casa Cascada. WOW! First off a big Hi-Five to Garry for great customer service when booking this villa. He took the time to talk to us over the phone prior to booking to explain the villa and the property and to also go over some details about the town! My family books several times a year on VRBO and never have any of the owners taken the time to call us prior to booking! Garry, THANK YOU!!
The property was spectacular! Starting with the villa it was perfect for our family size. We had 3 adults and 4 teenagers. This villa was perfect size for us. The house is well maintained and had everything we needed for kitchen supplies. Best part of this house - NO TV's !!!! Wi-Fi was spotty but who cares when you are having an awesome vacation! The villa is the first one when entering the property so it's closest to the street and the farthest from the beach, however the walk through the property to the beach is less than a minute and the scenery is absolutely gorgeous. The pool is right out the front door and the private pallapa was relaxing!
The property is so well maintained and the private sundeck at the end of the property on the beach was great. We sat out there every evening to watch the beautiful Sayulita sunset!
The house is located on the north end by the school but still walking distance to downtown shopping and restaurants. The walk is actually quite enjoyable but we also rented a golf cart part of time which the kids loved. Pizza Venezia is right down the street from the house... if you want a really good pizza this is the place... Kids loved it! We had a seafood pasta from there that was to die for! So many great restaurants in Sayulita that we never had a bad meal!! Restaurante Carmelita’ was our favorite. It was so delicious we had dinner there 2 nights in a row! Overall this was one of the best vacations for our family. We will definitely be booking another trip to Sayulita and with Casa Cascada!!!
Had a last minute change of plans due to unfortunate occurrence and the owner was very accommodating. He was always quick to respond and had offered multiple suggestions for activities and restaurants in town prior to our trip. We look forward to staying there in the future.
Thanks Brian, hope to see you in the future!
The owner was easy to work with and helpful with advice on transportation, restaurants, etc. The complex is nice and well cared for and the manager is responsive and helpful too. There are weekend and overnight security guards. The home is very nice. The maid comes daily I believe she will stay for several hours if you need her.The bed in the master was the one we used and it was comfortable with good linens.Good storage. The home can easily accommodate 7 adults or two couples with kids.Bathrooms are a good size, plenty of hot water, with bar soap and a hair dryer.Shared spaces in and outside of the home are great. The pool right outside the door (the complex has 2) is a nice size and kept clean. The lawn chairs (you see in the pictures) and pool toys are shared/used by all of the residents although there were only a few children in the complex when we were there and we did take the boogie boards to the beach one day.The home has beach chairs, towels, and a beach umbrella you can use if you want to carry them to the beach (1 minute walk). The kitchen seemed to have enough wares for a family who wants to cook and visitors left a few spices, napkins, dish soap etc, which will vary as visitors come and go. 5G bottles of water are provided and we washed all of our dishes in the bottled water. There were no ice trays and we bought purified bagged ice.I did not see a grill attached to the home but there are several in the complex and I am sure you could use them. The washer and dryer for the unit is also used by the maid so there appears to be laundry soap easily available.I did not notice a TV (never looked) but the WIFI was good and we used our personal devices heavily. The bad - While the complex is beachfront (at least one small part of it is - see the last picture), the home is on the road and the farthest from the beach. Security will keep the front patio light outside the front door on at night because you are the closest to the complex entrance and parking. It was noisy during the day with the school right across the road and occasionally at night with partiers. The master bedroom is farthest from the road and closing the doors and running the AC drowned the noise at night, but I worry the other two bedrooms might be noisy. Some of the unused drawers in the kitchen and the area under the sink was littered with droppings from either mice or roaches.I know there are issues with bugs in tropical areas, but there is no excuse for not cleaning this.
