Privé et communauté fermée, idéalement situé pour tous les sites, des restaurants et des partis zones historiques, tous à distance de marche. L'appartement est dans un bâtiment de 2 étages avec seulement 2 marches à la porte d'entrée de l'appartement. Un chariot est disponible gratuitement en face de l'appartement qui vous mènera à divers endroits d'intérêt dans 'viejo / vieux »San Juan.

Le complexe de condo est situé loin de l'agitation de la circulation urbaine et le bruit de parti commun dans la région. Le condo est proche du manoir du gouverneur, de la capitale, des bâtiments fédéraux, des sites historiques, des boutiques et des bateaux de croisière. Zone sûre et tranquille bien surveillée par la police locale et fédérale ainsi que par la Garde côtière.

Comme le Vieux San Juan a une vie nocturne très dynamique et animée, de nombreuses rues ont tendance à être animées et bruyantes, ce qui fait de cet appartement un lieu de retraite idéal, loin des jours et des nuits reposantes.

L'appartement est situé à distance de marche de Escambron plage, des commerces et casinos amende. La zone Condado est à 5 minutes, peut être atteint en taxi ou en transport public. Les taxis sont nombreux, 24 heures sur 24, ainsi qu'un service Uber / Lyft disponible

Cet appartement fait face au bâtiment des garde-côtes et au musée de l’Arsenal, construit pendant la période coloniale espagnole. Sur le côté opposé du complexe est le parc «Paseo de La Princesa» avec sa belle fontaine à la fin de la promenade où vous pourrez profiter des couchers de soleil spectaculaires de la baie et de voir que la ville fortifiée construite par les Espagnols. Le dimanche soir les habitants se réunissent avec des instruments de musique pour les concerts animés et amusants.

La cuisine est entièrement équipée, des serviettes et des draps de qualité sont fournis, des unités de climatisation individuelles dans la cuisine et des ventilateurs de plafond et au sol dans l'appartement. Grande croix ventilation / brise dans l'appartement avec des fenêtres d'auvent / portes qui ouvrent. La buanderie est située dans l'appartement avec aspirateur, planche à repasser, fer et autres outils pour nettoyer.

Excellent location! Very quiet and safe community located just far away from the loud party areas. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a good nights sleep and willing/able to walk the 1/2 mile uphill to enjoy the entertainment, dining and shopping district. If I return to Old San Juan, I will look to stay here again.

A wonderful place in a great location

What a great place to stay in Old San Juan. This property was comfortable, clean, convenient, and just as described in the listing. Ileana, the owner, was very easy to work with and was able to make accommodations for my late night arrival. I loved that it was just a 5-minute walk to the beautiful trees and fountain of Paseo de la Princesa. Highly recommended!

FANTASTIC GETAWAY!

My daughter needed a getaway from NYC and all the cold weather. We selected this condo and could not have been more pleased! The location is perfect and walking distance to all the major attractions. The condo is beautifully decorated and very roomy and comfortable. It is just far enough away from all the major noise. My daughter loved it and are already planning a return. The owner was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Location, Location, Location

This apartment is very well located, in walking distance to the port, museums, forts, grocery store, old wall, CVS Pharmacy, bus depot etc. The grounds were well groomed and the apartment was clean, with lots of towels and bed linen and a comfortable bed. Since we stayed two months, it was great having the washer and dryer in the apartment! Ileana (owner) and Joe (manager) were easy to contact answered our questions and saw to any problems, quickly. There were always festivities at the Paseo de la Princesa on the weekends, but the bedroom, at the back of the unit, next to the interior courtyard, was very quiet for sleeping. We enjoyed going across La Puntilla St. to the old armory to sit in the shade and watch the activities on the water (cruise ships, ferry, and coast guard maneuvers ). Our only complaint was not having access to the parking inside the gate, when we rented a car for a week. The free parking on La Puntilla, was very limited. All in all, the old town was fascinating to visit and the condo's location and condition made our stay very enjoyable.

It's sometimes difficult to get a good nights rest with the festivals and folks partying throughout the streets of OSJ. As you indicated, this condo complex is conveniently located but set apart from other rentals since it's on a dead end street with very little foot traffic allowing for restful nights. A charming, cozy condo with an ideal location.

This condo was just right for our first visit to Old San Juan. It is very well equipped with clear instructions on how to operate and find everything. It is very safe and a short walk to the promenade, shopping, trolley stops and street food carts. A great spot to stay and discover the fun and history in Old San Juan. Best location and place to stay in!

Stayed here for 5 nights and I have to say the location is perfect! Really close to a lot of good restaurants and a brewery! The place is nicely kept both inside the premises and the unit itself. Weather wasn't too bad and when it was hot opening the windows was good enough to feel the breeze from the ocean making it cooler inside. Then again we are from california so we are kind of use to the heat at times just not the humidity, but the place offers ceiling mounted fans which work great. Most of the tourist areas are walking distance therefore we never really had to drive much. We would definitely book this property again and recommend anyone to do so as well. Thanks again Ileana for letting us rent your property and hope to deal with you again in the near future.

Wonderful "second home"

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay in San Juan in this lovely vacation rental. It truly felt like home with all of the amenities available to us, provided by owner Ileana. Returning to the comfortable condo was a treat after a day of sightseeing or relaxing at one of the many nearby beaches. Ileana was also very helpful in telling us of some of the many highlights and interesting historical sights of this beautiful city. We plan to return and are looking forward to our next vacation!

A wonderful way to experience Old San Juan

It was a great stay, very much felt like a home away from home, enjoyed staying there very much. Much better than a hotel, a nice apartment setting, with laundry, a small but nice kitchen, and so forth. Everything was stocked up that we needed, and we replaced/added a few things, like some hand soap, laundry detergent, tissue, etc. A small market was maybe a 5 or ten minute walk away, and food vendors and restaurants are close by too. Our unit was on the first floor, and after a day of walking the town, it was so nice to come back and relax without any flights of stairs. We tried the A/C for a night or two, but the weather was just so pleasant that we opened the louvers on the windows and stayed with the nice breeze instead. Might be a bit warm or humid in summertime, but the A/C is always an option. I live in a very rural area, where it's very quiet at night, and so I often find that many resorts or hotels are a bit loud for me at night - this location was close to everything, and yet was quiet enough for me. All-in-all, a good stay and one that I highly recommend.

Condominio LaPuntilla

Old San Juan is a wonderful walk back into history and Condominio LaPuntilla was the perfect place to stay while seeing it all. The condo was clean and modern with a beautiful courtyard. It was in a gated community and very safe. We also walked throughout Old San Juan at night safely to hear music and eat great food. The caretaker and owner were very personable and responsive to our needs. The other people staying in the condo were friendly and welcoming. The day bed in the living room let us use it as a two bedroom - so we each had our own room! You can walk to all of Old San Juan from there so there's no transportation expenses. Great way to see parks, local art, museums and castles. Enjoy your stay.

Condominio La Puntilla

My family and I stayed in the apartment for a month,we loved the location and the apartment,but the owner Ileana was complaining of the electricity bill being to high,she asked us if we were leaving the a/c on all day,we didn't use the a/c,we spent most of the day out,used the ceiling fans and turn off the lights,also the frying pans are In a very bad condition she needs to buy new ones,we love old San Juan,we love to eat at the cafeteria Mallorca it's our favorite restaurant and Raices it's a beautiful restaurant and also we enjoyed going to Culebra.

Dear Sally M, Thank you for your positive comments about the apartment and its location. I'm sorry that you, your sister or parents took my call as a complaint. It's customary for me to contact guests shortly after arrival to determine if all is well and meets their expectations. A few days after your arrival I spoke with your mom and she indicated that everything was fine. Several weeks later I again called to determine if all was going well. I did mention to your mom that the power bill had arrived and was high. I asked if the air conditioners were possibly being left on while away which could be a contributor to higher bills. I realize that with the apartment having a washer/dryer, electric range/oven and hot water electrically powered...these also contribute to usage. I appreciate your constructive critic on the frying pans and wish this had been mentioned to me when I called. Joe, the manager, would have gladly picked up a set to replace while you were visiting. Joe always tells guests that he's available with just a call to assist and help guests be as comfortable as possible. Very nice

I had an amazing time from the day I check into this apartment on March 1st 2013 to July 1st 2013.The place was exactly what the pictures showed and even more.It was spotless& very clean upon arrival,vey well located near the stores and the U.S. Coast Guard Base.The walk to the beach was 10 min or less....really close.The area is very safe and the apartment is in a gated community which adds to the safety factor,there was not a single time that I felt I had made a poor choice.I will stay here again soon for my vacation next year.thanks again for a nice safe and fun Vacation in Old San Juan.

This is a Winner!

We have stayed here for a month, twice. It is a wonderful Condo in every way. Location in Old San Juan is fantastic, furnishings are the best and it's CLEAN!! The owner is very attentive to any & all your needs. We would recommend this 1 bedroom, 1 bath condo to everyone we know. This is a true winner!!!

GREAT APARTMENT AND LOCATION!

Our visit to PR was long term from 11/13/11 through 1/31/2012. I can't say enough about this apartment, it's location...convenient to everything as well as the owner and property manager, Joe. There wasn't anything we lacked for...the apt is well equipped, with washer/dryer in apt laundry room, on the ground floor with a courtyard where we could sit and enjoy the sun. We didn't need to use the A/C most of the time since it wasn't as warm during the months we were there. However, when needed, the units in the kitchen & bedroom were sufficient to cool the apt providing the windows were closed. Since cost of utilities is higher in the Caribbean, we were conscious of use and turned them off when leaving the apt. One day we discovered that we had lost the keys to the complex and the apt. Joe was sweet and met us at 9PM to let us in and had even made another set for us to have. This place was like our home...very comfortable, clean, well decorated and fully equipped. The other thing was the convenience to everything...all within walking distance. Great restaurants and historical sights. We rented a car several weeks to go to the interior part of the island. No problems with parking since we paid the extra $70 for use of the gated parking within the complex...best thing to do since parking is limited throughout old San Juan. This is a place that I wouldn't hesitate recommending to anyone. Thank you for your hospitality!

Affordable - Cute & Cozy Condo - Old San Juan

My aunt, best friend and I spent a week in Puerto Rico for my son's wedding. This condo was everything we expected from the listing. It was like a home away from home: fully furnished, clean linens, dishes, cookware, washer and dryer, even dish soap and laundry soap! The location was perfect. Nestled in the corner of Old San Juan between the Cruise ship docking area and the Coast Guard Facility. Gated community with the security of the Coast Guard in the back yard. Very quiet community. We had a wonderful time. It was actually the best week of my life. I can hardly wait to return to Puerto Rico for another visit. One week was not nearly enough. The wedding was wonderful. I highly recommend this condominium if you need a little home away from home. The owner is very nice and the on-site personnel were very nice and helpful as well - only a phone call away. I also recommend the Rosa de Triana Restaurant only a few blocks away in the heart of Old San Juan. Excellent tapas style Spanish cuisine. Very affordable. We held the rehearsal dinner there. Flaminco dancers entertained for our party throughout the night. The bride and groom were given a free dance lesson and we got it all on video! All in all - a fantastic vacation. If you are thinking about a vacation in the Caribbean - Puerto RIco is the only way to go!!!

Great apartment + location. Highly recommended!

My partner and I rented La Puntilla in January 2011 for a full week getaway from a harsh Toronto winter. La Puntilla was exactly what we needed and the ad and information is exactly as presented. Ileana is a wonderful host, very communicative and up front about charges and access. We were met by her friend at the condo after midnight during San Sebastian Festival as our flight was late, he was very helpful, giving us the full tour and his phone number. The apartment is well suited for 2-4 persons with a double bed in the bedroom and a pull out bed in the living room. The kitchen is totally adequate, and having laundry was nice bonus. Although it was 35+ degrees celsius each day we barely used the AC as the ceiling fans and breeze from the ocean are plenty cool. The location is perfect - we've been to PR once before and love staying in Old San Juan. Its only about 25 minutes on foot to the closest public beach 'Escambron' and very close to everything you would need -- great restaurants, nightlife, the Old Fort, bus station, beautiful views and the ocean. Can't recommend this place enough and can't wait to visit La Puntilla again in the future!

My husband and I stayed at this unit for two weeks in late February - early March 2011. We found the kitchen and bath to be dated. The unit was dark, partly because we kept the shutters closed in the living area to keep bugs out (there is no glass or screen). A handle on one of the bedroom shutters fell off in my hand when I first tried to open it, so we could not operate it for two weeks. We were subsequently charged $65.00 for breaking it. When we told the owner we did not break it, she replied that this could not be true because neither her father nor the caretaker were aware of the broken handle and "we are all good Christians." We have traveled in 42 countries. Puerto Rico is great. This unit and the owner are not.

Our standard operating procedure is to have cleaning staff clean&inspect apt prior to guest's arrival-unit is inspected, repairs or adjustments made if needed.Prior to this couple's reservation, a family member stayed at apt primarily to ck unit.Although this is a vacation rental, it is also our home..we take great pride in maintaining apt in best poss condition.When guests arrive,manager shows them to apt,walks them throughout, explains use of AC individual bdroom & kitchen units also central unit-also use of washer/dryer & other apt features such as opening of windows/door units.As part of procedure,we contact guests several days into stay to determine if they're comfortable or answer questions.When called, this guest indicated all was well-no problems with apt, thanking me for my concern.Two days after departure,3/3,I received email thanking me & expressing how pleasantly surprised they were that I would call & also for property mngr's offer of assistance.This couple had several opportunities to tell us that window frame&crank were damaged.On day of departure apt was inspected.The damage was unmistakable & quite visible. Their complaints have little to do with bathrm & kit being dated..this apt was recently remodeled.It also has nothing to do with apt being dark-there are three 12' tall doors w louvered windows that open 4ways to allow for ventilation& daylight in living rm & similar window/door in bedrm.These are typical Spanish styled doors as required in historical Old San Juan.It is obvious that the problem is in the $65 charge for repair of the damage. It's unfortunate that they made a decision to end their trip on such a negative note and with false claims due to this charge.

SAN JUAN PUNTILLO CONDO REVIEW

Arrangments for collection / drop of keys etc. went as per plan. Condo manager was very helpful and polite. Condo is well situated close to city attractions and night life. Both castles are walking distance If a rental car is planned, I recommend making prior arrangements with the condo owner for on site parking access. I would recommend this rental unit for anyone seeking a short break in San Juan

charming & great central location in old san juan

i stayed at this condo for 4 nights at the end of april with a couple of friends & we really enjoyed our stay! the trundle bed in the living room is comfortable for extra guests. the location is perfect & a short walk to all the major attractions in old san juan, nightlife & restaurants. the condo was very clean & charming. i would definitely stay here again.

La Puntilla Condo in Old San Juan

This condo was located in a perfect spot of Old San Juan for us. We are retired, in our early seventies, and this property was very convenient.It has all the emenities we needed. The owner provided excellent service. We could recommend this condo to our friends without hesitation. We plan to return next winter and hope to stay here again. We spent the entire month of January 2009 and it was definitely worth it.

Good stay, Bad charges

Our stay for 9 days during March of 09 was great in all areas except one. The location was perfect and the condo was nice and cozy but we got stuck with a ridiculous electric bill. In the lease it states that utility charges may not be excessive but exactly what "excessive" is, is not mentioned. The condo owner sent me a letter with my returned deposit stating that the electric bill for the month was $124.98 and she had decided to only give us an allowance of $42 for our 9 days. She deducted $83 from our deposit. She even mentioned that there were other people staying in the condo for a few days of the month but i guess we got stuck with their part of the bill too. Kinda BS if you ask me. Be careful when you sign the lease so that this does not happen to you. ( We turned off all lights when we were not there and the air-conditioner was only on at night)

These young adults were informed that if excessive utility charges were incurred during their stay, fair & reasonable charges would be deducted from their security deposit. This was stated & included in the lease agreement. Further, the Manager took a reading of the meter when they arrived and after their departure. I sent them power company's Consumption History listing charges from 5/6/08 thru 4/07/09 averaging not more than $20/month. Their visit,3/13 thru 3/21/09 fell within March-April billing with no other guests for the month. As stated in letter, the last guest departed on 3/3...billing for March started on 3/7. The highest bill for the year was during their stay totaling $124.98 with no other billing that high especially in the cooler winter months. Further,the condo is for 4 person occupancy and they had 5 individuals staying. It would be difficult to monitor when the air conditioners were left on as well as settings if & when friends are going in and out of the apartment. I agree that it was a "ridiculous" electric bill and gave them an allowance of $42.00 since the highest bill for the preceding winter months had been $41.56. They did not get "stuck" with former guests' bill...I made it clear in the letter that previous guests departed on 3/3, March's billing starting on 3/7. The highest power charges for the year were $117.51 in July, during one of the hottest months of the year in Puerto Rico. We try to be fair and for that reason sent them the power company's Consumption History for them to review along with an explanation for the deduction taken from the security deposit.

My father had been working for a pharmaceutical company and was offered a transferred to PR which he gladly accepted. He brought the family to live in San Juan for approximately 3yrs from NYC. I absolutely fell in love with the island, its warm, friendly & genteel people as well as the fun and positive attitudes. Loved the greenery, flowers and mountainous countryside, very different from NYC. Learned about tropical fruits & vegetables, still many not available in the states today. My father' descendants were from Spain & settled in the San German area and helped abolish slavery. I'm proud to be of Puerto Rican descendants, love the island, it's people and their spirit. There is so much to see and do that I still haven't enjoyed. Puerto Rico has much to offer.

Why should you rent this property?
I take great pride in maintaining this condo in the best possible condition...an inviting and comfortable place to come to...a place that I would want to visit, stay and return to. My desire is to make guests feel at home.
When compared to other rentals in old San Juan, this apartment is larger than most, clean, well decorated, airy, with all the necessary kitchen accessories as well as quality towels and linen included. There are air conditioning units in the bedroom and in the kitchen, however, there's a wonderful cross breeze throughout the apartment when doors are opened.
Mr. Velez, caretaker, is on call for assistance.

There are only 2 steps into the building and apartment vs. other rentals that require climbing of steep stairways. Laundry room with washer/dryer within the apt. Gated community.
Convenient to all historical sites, restaurants, shopping (retail, jewelers & groceries), casinos, ferry and cruise ship piers as well as public beach.
Safe with Coast Guard residential facility at the end of the street and federal + local police monitoring area.
Quiet complex since it's away from central old San Juan, however, easy walk to all but you can enjoy your time in the apartment without all the traffic noise, etc.
