The condo complex is located away from the hustle of city traffic and party noise common in the area. The apartment is on the 1st floor with only 2 steps to the front door in a 2 story building. The condo is close to the Governor' mansion, Capital, federal buildings and the cruise ship piers, the area is well
monitored by local and federal police as well as the Coast Guard.
Since Old San Juan has a very dynamic and vibrant night life, many streets tend to be busy & noisy which makes this apartment a great retreat from activities...quiet days and restful nights.
The apt is located within walking distance to Escambron beach, fine shopping and casinos. The Condado area is 5 minutes away, can be reached by taxi or public transportation. Taxis are plentiful, 24 hours.
The apt faces the Coast Guard bldg & El Arsenal Museum built during the Spanish colonial period. On the opposite side of the complex is the 'Paseo de La Princesa' park with its beautiful fountain at the end of the promenade where you can enjoy spectacular sunsets by the bay and see the walled city as built by the Spaniards. On Sundays evenings locals gather with musical instruments for lively and fun concerts.
The kitchen is fully equipped, quality towels & linen are supplied, individual A/C units in the kitchen and bedroom...there are overhead and floor fans also. Great cross ventilation/breeze in the apt with louver windows/doors that open. The laundry room is located within the apartment.

This condo is our family's "home away from home". We would appreciate guests leaving the kitchen clean (no dirty dishes) and the apartment tidy. If the home is left dirty, there will be an additional charge of $100.
This is a residential condo community-please conduct accordingly with manners and respect toward neighbors. Fines are administered by the HOA for noise and parking violations-these will be deducted from the security deposit.
*50% of rental and a $200.00 security deposit are due to hold reservation.
*Full payment is due 40 business days prior to arrival.
*CANCELLATION:Security deposit will be retained in full if cancellation occurs 30 prior to arrival-cancel 25 days or less, forfeit security deposit plus $200.00 of rental amount.

Old San Juan was designated as a world heritage site by the United Nation in 1983. This distinction places Viejo San Juan in a select group of worldwide landmarks. Within walking distance you will find excellent restaurants, patio & open air bars, museums, fine art galleries & historic churches. The art galleries hold a late night exhibit the first Tues. of the month and outdoor exhibits of local crafts are also in view. The forts, El Morro & San Cristobal, fortresses built by the Spanish empire, designated national parks, are also within walking distance. Take a leisurely walk to enjoy sunsets at the Paseo de la Princesa park and see the entry & walled section built to protect the city & harbor. Free concerts held ever Sat. by the bay (1blk from condo) as well as at the Plaza de Armas. On Sunday evenings locals gather at the park for impromptu concerts. See the oldest chapel in N Amer,Capilla De Cristo, also La Rogativa, statue honoring women for saving San Juan from the British.

About the owner: My father had been working for a pharmaceutical company and was offered a transferred to PR which he gladly accepted. He brought the family to live in San Juan for approximately 3yrs from NYC. I absolutely fell in love with the island, its warm, friendly & genteel people as well as the fun and positive attitudes. Loved the greenery, flowers and mountainous regions...so very different from NYC. Learned about tropical fruits & vegetables, still many not available in the states today. My father' descendents were originally from the San German area...helped to abolish slavery. I'm proud to be of Puerto Rican heritage...love the island, it's people and their spirit. There is so much to see and do that I still haven't enjoyed all that Puerto Rico has to offer.

I take great pride in maintaining this condo in the best possible condition... making it an inviting and comfortable place to come to...a place that I would want to visit, stay and return to. My desire is to make guests feel at home. When compared to other rentals in old San Juan, this apartment is larger than most, clean, well decorated, airy, with all the necessary kitchen accessories. Quality towels and linen. There are air conditioning units in the bedroom and in the kitchen, however, there's a wonderful cross breeze throughout the apartment when doors are opened. Manager is on call for assistance.
