Mountain Side Home With Absolutely Stunning Adirondack Mountain Views

Nestled in the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains, our secluded mountain home offers a breathtaking view of Whiteface Mountain. There are trails available for hiking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing nearby for you to enjoy. World class fishing is available on the West Branch of the Au Sable River. A five minute drive will bring you to Whiteface Mountain, home of the largest vertical drop in the East and home to skiing events from the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. Our home has everything you need for a quiet or adventurous getaway to the mountains.

The home offers a four bedrooms and is child friendly. It includes a fully equipped kitchen and two decks where you can relax and enjoy the view, peace and seclusion.

** FOR WINTER GUESTS: We HIGHLY recommend an AWD or 4WD drive vehicle to come up the driveway. We have a gravel driveway that becomes snow packed for most of the winter season. We keep it plowed, but the winding uphill slope will be difficult in snowy conditions**

Beautiful house and view and location

View of Whiteface and surrounding hills while gas fireplace warms the room is magic. Very quiet location, easy to get to Wilmington and Lake Placid. Lots of rooms and gameroom downstairs, 4 bathrooms (3 with showers), just a beautiful spot to stay.

Mountain Getaway

This is our second visit to this wonderful property, it's perfect for those looking for peace and quiet in the beautiful Adirondack region. The house is clean, large and well appointed with awesome views to the Whiteface Mountain ski slopes 10 minutes away. We had a couple questions during our stay and the owners are responsive, helpful and friendly. This house is perfect home base in all 4 seasons, we hope to be back again soon.

Lake Placid & Whiteface Visit

The house was amazing, even better in person than in pictures!it’s less than 10 minutes to Whiteface and only 20 minutes to town. It was super clean and plenty of room for all of us (4 families with total of 15 adults/kids). The homeowner immediately responded to my many questions and provided great recommendations! If want to go to Whiteface and/or Lake Placid this is the house to rent!

Fantastic Property Next to Whiteface!

My family and friends had a great stay at this property. Perfect ski house for a family get together. Property was clean and easy to get in and out of. Rooms were spacious. and instructions and rules were easy to understand and clearly posted. Kitchen was well stocked. I had very little communication with owner, because there was no need. But we truly appreciated the space and location and any future trips to Whiteface, we'll be looking to stay at the same home! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Adirondacks Gem

Our extended family spent one week at the home in late June. The house was very comfortable with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our size group (6 people). While we were there primarily to visit Lake Placid and the surrounding area we also made good use of the Ping Pong table, Foosball table and indoor shuffleboard in the evenings and on rainy days. The game room was ideal for keeping the 9 year old grandson engaged. The home has a wonderful full length porch that presents a gorgeous view of nearby Whiteface Mountain. Overall it was one of the nicer summer vacation homes we have ever rented.

Awesome House

This house was extremely clean. The beds were comfortable. There were 10 of us and there was ample room for everyone. Foosball and Ping Pong was a hit. We didn’t have a chance to have a campfire because the house is near to some great attractions so we were all too tired. (Ausable Chasm, Lake Placid, Whiteface Mountain, and plenty of self guided hiking trails.) There are stunning views of Whiteface Mountain from the great room. We would love to stay here again if we ever come back to this area.

Wonderful stay here! We had a great time at the house and in a great location to everything nearby. The views during the day and stars at night were a great plus to the house. Everything was in order and would gladly stay again!

Fabulous family adventure

We are long-time visitors to the Adirondacks and we chose this property for its proximity to whiteface mountain, which a group of us wanted to climb, and for its size, which could accommodate all of us. We had a wonderful time, climbing, swimming in the ausable river, exploring various hikes, cooking together, and just relaxing in the beautiful great room. A wonderful property!

Excellent Accommodations

We we there with out ski team to participate in the U14 Super G race at Whiteface. The house was exactly what we needed for our team. We had plenty of room to spread out when needed but also large enough space to all be together to hang out. It was a wonderful weekend. Thank you.

Perfect getaway

The house and the view were absolutely beautiful. Everything was clean, and the house had everything we needed! It was the perfect place to get everyone together in one spot, which is usually impossible. It was perfect for those of us who like to relax indoors, and for those those of us in the midst of training for a marathon. We would absolutely love to book at this location again in the future!

Huge cabin with great views for a friend reunion

Thank you for such a great stay! The house was perfect for several groups/families to stay together. Lots of bedrooms, bathrooms, space, and large gathering spaces for everyone to hang out! The views from the deck were gorgeous. The house was stocked with everything we needed. Located in a great spot near many hikes, shops, and things to do! Will definitely book again!

Au delà de mes attentes

Le chalet était beau en photo, mais en réalité je l’ai trouvé plus spacieux et encore plus beau. Les chambres étaient grandes et confortables . La décoration était très pittoresque, il y a un grand souci des détails. Tout est dans le thème des Adirondacks. Et que dire de la magnifique vue sur les montagnes !! J’ai vraiment adoré ce chalet, il est très bien situé pour faire de la randonnée tel que Whiteface et Jay Mountain. Il y avait tout ce qu’on avait besoin pour cuisiner je le recommanderais N’importe quand

4 generations of family!

We spent 4 nights here for a family get together! We had several levels of hikers take to the trails. We enjoyed visiting Lake Placid and Whiteface. The house was comfortable for 15 of us. We cooked and ate all of our meals at this beautifully equipped and well layed out house!

Great house in a great location

Comfortable house with attached 2-car garage for moving in/out in inclement weather. Location near Whiteface and Lake Placid plus easy access to I-87. Good restaurants and groceries are close by. Very quiet location. Screened in porch for dining.

I'm Catherine. I've been coming up to the Adirondack since before I can remember. I call it my outdoor playground. My husband and I finally bought a house up here to retire to, but until then I'm going to rent it out to you fine folks. I hope you enjoy the home as much as me and my family does.

Please look at the photos from the living room sofa. And I will tell you now, it is even more stunning in person. This house also has a great location for all year round activities. We are about 20 minutes from Lake Placid and 20 minutes or less to most high peak trail heads. Or if you are a skier, like I am, you are also about 5 minutes to Whiteface.

I am also VRBO renter and I was always frustrated when owners counted a pull out couch or couch as a bed! You will not find that here we have 9 beds in total and four rooms to accommodate different couples.

We also have ping pong, fuzzball, corn hole (bean bag toss), and many board games.
