About David Comerford
Hi, I have owned a vacation home for the past 30 years. I enjoy having my son and our friends share our lovely home with us. We are outdoor enthusiasts. We love to ski, raft, hike, swim etc.. Friends love to join us at the sandy river ski house for fun, relaxation, sitting around the fire and in the kitchen making yummy meals.
David Comerford purchased this House in 2006
Why David Comerford chose Mount Hood Village
It is next to the river (200') with easy access to all the fun stuff to do on Mount Hood. Just a short 50 minute ride from Portland and we can be sitting on the porch sipping tea and listening to the sounds of the river through the large fir trees.

Cozy home in great location
David was a great host! Lots of information and guidance before we arrived. And, he was traveling, but had a local contact who was quickly available when we had some trouble getting into the house. He even managed to make sure the heat was on when we arrived!
Property was good. Large yard that backs onto the river, which my 6-yo daughter loved exploring, even in the winter. Huge house with good amenities (e.g., movies, games, kitchen tools). It's an older home, but clean and well-cared for. Good location - you feel like you're in the forest, but it's a quick drive to restaurants and shopping.
Great spot for a trip to the mountain
Nice house, very relaxing environment. Great spot to base a group ski trip. Restaurants and stores nearby. I would book it again.
Im glad your group had a great time. Your welcome back anytime. David
The house is great all around, very clean, it’s spacious and relaxing.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at David’s house for the second time. The house is great all around, very clean, it’s spacious and relaxing. This cozy home is located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The kitchen is great for a home cooked meal. We were happy for the easy access to many hiking trails. David is a marvelous attentive host, going out of his way to make you feel at home. We will definitely be back!
Happy you can make nice memories at our vacation home.
Cozy cabin in a great location
We stayed here for four days in October and absolutely loved it. The cabin is cozy and well-equipped. It's a short walk down to the river along a private path, and you can also take strolls along the quiet residential street. There are large stacks of wood supplied for the fireplace. My kids loved the huge collection of board games. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped with kitchen tools (though make sure to bring things like oil and vinegar, since there is only salt and a collection of spices in the cabinets). We'll be back! Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home.
Maximilian, Glad your family enjoyed the sandy river ski house. The fall is a very beautiful time to enjoy the river.
Great place!! Patricia
The house was very clean and well kept. Kitchen had everything you needed to prepare a meal for eating in. It was comfortable and cozy. The street is quiet, and the yard was a relaxing place to be. The owner David was very helpful, and gave great recommendations.
Glad you enjoyed the house again!
