Lovely 2 BD Cottage halfway between sandy beaches and historic Charleston

Duplex style townhome, upstairs are two bedrooms and Jack and Jill bath, downstairs - living room, dining area, kitchen and a powder room. Relax in the shaded, fenced patio.

Location, location, location... You will be minutes from plenty to do in and around Mount Pleasant, a suburb of Charleston. This neighborhood is perfect for a nice walk or bike ride. Going any direction will either lead you toward sandy beaches, marshy creeks, plenty of restaurants or the Ravenel Bridge which has an excellent view of the area.

Also located near the Old Village you will find The Old Bridge which used to link Sullivan's Island to Mount Pleasant during the Civil War era. This has been converted to a nice park and surrounded by the intercoastal waterway. Great location for fishing, crabbing, shrimping or watching the sun set over Charleston from the benches.

Restaurants on Shem Creek give you a taste of Charleston's finest seafood while watching the shrimp boats come in to dock or kayaks paddle on by. The old village Pitt Street area gives you a unique feeling of what Mt. Pleasant was when it spread out from Charleston onto the islands.

The house is minutes from Sullivan's Island, home of Fort Moultrie where the first shots of the civil war rang! You will be also about 3 miles from Patriot Point which is a Naval Wartime Museum (golf course across street).

In 5 minutes, you can also go to the Charleston visitors center downtown. You will see advertisements for all splendor Charleston and its surrounding areas have to offer in one location. There is just too much to list here...

Charleston may be a small town, but this city punches well above its weight. When you consider everything, it has to offer - history, culture, food, charm - it's no wonder the city has topped country's list of the best small cities in the U.S. for fifteen years running. Charleston's charm includes nationally recognized food and culture festivals, stately homes, cobblestone streets, waterfront views, and an abundance of flowering window boxes. Find a seat among its many outdoor terraces for a drink and some fresh oysters and try to resist the urge to up and move her.

We loved staying at Angela's property. The location was close to so many things and the duplex provided plenty of space. We loved having the ability to cook breakfast there and have our own private space in the backyard. Would absolutely stay here again!

This cottage is perfect! Located close to so many great restaurants and things to do, Harris Teeter is right around the corner. Neighborhood is quiet, home is immaculate and well stocked, backyard is quaint and peaceful. Will definitely rent this gem again!

Comfortable stay in good location

My husband and I wanted a nice spot to stay in Mount Pleasant while visiting my adult son and his family. This duplex is extremely clean and quiet with good parking and just off one of the main streets in Mount Pleasant. The beds were good, tv worked and there was a very pleasant back area with a patio table and chairs. We would definitely book it again!

Great location, property and host. We were there for baseball games at Shipyard Park and also wanted to visit the beach and Charleston - the location was extremely convenient to all three. Tons of great restaurants around, The townhouse has everything you need and you feel right at home. Angela was also extremely accommodating.

Great property, great host!

This was the perfect place for a sisters gathering! Our hostess Angela could not have been nicer or more responsive with everything from early correspondence to greeting us at the door. The property itself is perfectly located for a visit to Charleston and the surrounding area. It was very clean and more than comfortable. Perfect home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay in this lovely home. We had three adults in town to visit my son who has recently moved to the area. The location was quiet, yet convenient to everything. This was clean and a great location. The only issue we had was there was very few dishes and silverware and I was surprised there were no Kleenex anywhere. It woud have been nice to know where to put the trash. We spent quite a while looking for it. Other that those few things it was great!

This is a very well appointed, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean town house in a small quiet neighborhood with easy access to everything we wanted to do and see in the area. A quick 20 minute drive to the heart of Charleston, and quick access to Sullivan island, ( my husband and I actually walked there in under an hour. ) There are also several restaurants within quick walking distance of the property The hostess thought of every little detail to make the stay enjoyable, providing coffee, condiments, nice linens and towels. The beds are very comfy. The private bathrooms with jack and Jill shower are a very nice touch. The outdoor space is private and inviting. But most of all I cannot say enough about how clean this home is. Everything is extremely well maintained. Would definitely return.

Our host, Angela, was great at communicating throughout the entire process. She let it be known that we should feel free to reach out with any questions, concerns or advice on the area. The home was the perfect size for my adult day and I. We loved sitting out back and enjoying coffee/tea as we made plans for the day. Angela has anticipated most every need, so upon your arrival you can unpack, relax and decide what you may wish to do for staples and food. I appreciated all the little small extras such as a variety of teas and at least one refill of a garbage liner for each. The location is perfect as we were 15-20 minutes from downtown Charleston and 5-10 minutes from Isle of Palm and Sullivan’s Island. Thank you for your kindness and sharing your home with us.❤️

Being the owner of an international company, I extensively traveled renting Bed and Breakfasts and hotels all around the world. However, we always preferred B&B because their local flavor, ability to rent spacious comfortable properties and meet hosts in various countries. Our favorite places are Capri and Amalfi Coast in Italy, San Sebastian in Spain, and Beaune, Provence, Bordeaux in France. Traveling we got a good inclination of what we value the most at vacation rentals and tried to implement this experience to our B&B.
After semi-retiring 8 years ago, we moved from Chicago to Charleston because we found it to be unique and one of our favorite cities for food, culture and southern charm. We will be happy to make your vacation as relaxing and fun as possible.

Ride down to the shore to see historical sites like Fort Moultrie, Battery Jasper, Battery Gadsden, and Battery Thompson. Sunny days spent on the sand are easy with 2 beach chairs provided. Drive 5 minutes (2.5 miles) to Sullivan’s Island Beach or 10 minutes to Isle of Palms Beach (6 miles).
Spend the day exploring everything downtown Charleston has to offer just 10 minutes (7 miles) away from the house. Countless historical sites, museums, world-class restaurants, and ample shopping opportunities offer something for everyone.
If you're looking for fun on the water, you won't have to look very far. Book a fishing charter through one of the nearby companies or drop a line from Pitt Street Bridge. Rent a kayak to explore Shem Creek or book a sunset harbor cruise through Palmetto Breeze Sailing Charters.
Golfers can book a tee time at any of the nearby courses including Patriots Point, Wild Dunes, Snee Farm, Rivertowne, and Charleston National.
Other notable places to visit in the area include Boone Hall Plantation, Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum, Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park, Alhambra Hall, and Palmetto Islands County Park.

Come out to Shem Creek and spend your time on its long boardwalks and short trails, visit its historic bars and restaurants, take a boat or go fishing.
