Enjoy a relaxing and comfortable evening on the screened in porch of this charming second row cottage located in the desirable South Litchfield area of Pawleys Island. With six bedrooms and three bathrooms, this spacious home is perfect for a memorable family vacation. Each bedroom features themed bedding that enhances the beachside ambiance, creating a calming and welcoming retreat for every guest. The open floor plan connects the fully equipped kitchen to the dining area, making it easy to gather for meals and enjoy quality time together.

One of the standout features of this home is the private saltwater pool in the backyard—a refreshing escape on warm coastal days and a favorite among guests of all ages. Located just across the street from the Litchfield Inn, guests also have the added bonus of easy access to oceanfront dining.

The property offers plenty of covered parking and modern amenities for a comfortable stay, including high-speed internet, air conditioning and heat, six TVs (Smart TV or Roku), a Keurig and drip coffee maker, DVD and BluRay players, a strap-on high chair, a game cabinet stocked with board games and playing cards, and a propane BBQ grill. Whether you are swimming, relaxing, or spending quality time indoors, this home has everything you need to create lasting memories by the ocean.

Awesome home!

The home was so clean and comfortable! The kitchen was well stocked, the beds super comfy and everything was welcoming. Being so close to the beach was great! Best Location

A group of girlfriends and I stayed here for a 50th birthday celebration. The house in not only beautiful but the location is one the best in the area. We walked across the street and were steps from the beach. When we didn't want to go to the beach, we spent our time lounging poolside at the house. The house is spotless and lends itself to spending time with family and friends. I plan to go back with my family!

Golf Trip

All 8 of use had our own bed and were very comfortable for the 6 days we were there. The house is very convenient to all of the great golf courses in Pawley's Island!

Thanksgiving beach trip

We paid for the heating and the heater was running but never got over 70 degrees. We were refunded our money but were disappointed that we never got to use the pool.

Thank you for your review. The pool heater is a heat pump heater and the temperature outside needs to be above at least 60 degrees to heat the pool. Aside from this mild inconvenience, we are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and we do hope you will come back and stay with us again!

The house is located near the Inn, a beach access, high traffic & golf carts parked along the street. Bushes restrict sight lines for backing out. And the grassy areas limit maneuvering.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 3rd year staying at “A Pleasant Place” and each year it gets better and better. Although not “beach front” you’re directly across from the beach access point which makes coming and going from the beach extremely easy. The pool is perfect for when you’ve had too much sand and ocean and comes stocked with pool toys. There are even beach toys provided. The kitchen is well stocked which makes cooking easy to do as well. We will definitely be back for more!

The only negative I ad is it’s hard to back out of the driveway but we just did it with caution. The layout of the house upstairs was nice! The basement could use a little facelift but not very different from most beach houses ;) Overall, a great house and Tidelife was AWESOME!!! Superior customer service and made sure we had enough linens and truly pleasant to deal with. Highly recommend this company when planning your vacation!!

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you had an unpleasant stay. A vast majority of people who have rented this home have rated it 5 stars - including the cleanliness rating and have highly recommend the house to other prospective renters. (See the other 47 reviews below). We work very hard to meet the expectations of our guests, we were happy to even accommodate the late check out on your departure date due to your late flight. This home is NOT pet friendly, so there should not be ANY evidence of a pet being in the property. The downstairs area has just gone under renovation and the upholstery was all cleaned last week. The guest agreement and welcome letter you were emailed before your arrival instructs you to please call our office in the event you have ANY issues, and we also explain this to you at check in. Our office line is testable even after-hours, and we have an agent on call at all times 7 days a week. Again, we are sorry to hear you had a bad experience - but please in the future reach out to our office so we can assist you.

Cute stay, does the job

The property did the job! The inside of the upstairs was nice with renovated kitchen/bathrooms and overall felt clean/nice. The inside of the downstairs was just okay, it was clean enough but felt pretty dingy with tile flooring and just had a basement sort of feel. Pool area was clean enough(but was not heated like the ad suggested!) and worked for us. We could not figure out how to turn on the outside shower, but we’re not sure if it wasn’t working if we’re just dumb. Both porches did not feel clean and felt like they needed to be renovated as well, but they served their purpose when needed. Access to the beach was the best part, and that’s why you’d stay here anyway! So that part worked out. Overall a solid beach stay, would recommend for large groups with kids or just groups in general

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Home was in a great location, just a few steps from the beach! The pool and screened front porch were our favorite spots. Overall, we enjoyed the house. However, it could've been a little more clean for our arrival. There was a toilet that had not been flushed after someone used it, Some of the bedding had what appeared to be stains, but came clean when we washed it ourselves before first use and there were extra blankets, unfolded and thrown haphazardly in closets. Several dishes and silverware we pulled from cabinets were dirty also. We noticed stains on a couple pieces of furniture. Also, the toilet paper holder in one bathroom was broken from the wall. While these examples didn't impact our stay, it did make us feel like the property hadn't been cleaned thoroughly or wasn't maintained as well as others we have rented.

Thank you for your review. At check in we certainly communicate that if something is not perfect to please let us know ASAP and we will do whatever we can to ensure your stay is perfect. We did go back through all our communication and we did not get any phone calls, texts are emails that you were unsatisfied. Certainly not everyone is perfect and every now and then there may be something missed and IF we know we will correct it. Next time please give us the courtesy to delight you and ensure your satisfaction. Go back and look at the 43 property often than not the TideLife staff knocks it out of the park and we are one of the only companies in the area that has so many reviews. Good spot for families and kids

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good property and location. Would definitely stay again. House is well maintained and clean for our arrival. Kitchen had just about all the pots pans plates utensils and spices you would need for a stay. Only complaint is the area under the house will flood from a good rain common in the summer and renters should be notified of the issue ahead of time. Not a deal breaker but water came very close to getting into the downstairs area during our stay. Having a sump pump and long hose on property would be nice as it could quickly alleviate the problem. Water almost got to an extension cord in laundry room that was plugged in so it’s also a safety hazard for the owner. Otherwise it was a great stay and I’d recommend to anyone as long as they know of the flooding ahead of time.

Thank you for your review. In regards to the water, this issue had not happened previously and was likely due to the unusual amount of heavy rains we have had this summer. The owners were made aware of the situation and have since installed a drainage system to prevent this from happening again in the future. Please come back and stay with us again in the future.
