Schooner Creek Retreat - Oregon Beach Vacations

Welcome to Schooner Creek Retreat! This beautiful two story home with a wet bar offers four bedrooms, four bathrooms and has room for up to twelve guests. You'll have a beautiful view of the Schooner Creek river right from the backyard, along with close beach access just across Highway 101. Head inside, and check out your vacation rental!

Step inside onto the heated floors, and you'll find yourself in the living room filled with plenty of seating for all of your guests, along with gorgeous riverfront views from the bay windows. Gather around after a long day of exploring the coastline, and warm up by the fire or relax with a movie and popcorn. The kitchen is adjacent to the living room, making it easy to cook a meal while spending time with your family and friends. You'll have everything you need to whip up some quick and easy meals while on your trip, or feel free to eat out at one of the many restaurants located in the Lincoln City area, including Mo's and Highway 101 Burger. The dining room table offers room for most of your guests to eat together, or feel free to lounge on the couch. You could even head out onto the back deck and enjoy your meal in the sunshine. This home offers a washer and dryer for guest use, so feel free to pack lightly!

Head down the hallway, and check out the sleeping arrangements! The first bedroom offers a queen bed and has a bathroom adjacent to it featuring a tub/shower combo with a hand bar. The primary bedroom, featuring a king size bed, is also located on this floor and offers it's own private bathroom, complete with a rainfall shower and his and hers sinks. You'll also be able to enjoy TV after everyone has went off to bed with your own personal flat screen! You'll also have some of the best views of the river from this room.

Upstairs, you'll find the third bedroom, complete with a queen and twin bed. This room is perfect for any families with small children in your group, or even for the children to share together! The bathroom on this floor offers a tub/shower combo. The play area upstairs offers a place for children to hang out together and also has a set of twin bunk beds. .Above the garage, offers its own bathroom and bedroom. This area of the home is perfect for a couple in your group. The bedroom comes with a queen size bed, and the bathroom has a shower.

You'll have plenty of things to do and see while staying in Lincoln City! The Siletz Bay is just a short drive or walk from Schooner Creek Retreat, along with the Pacific just beyond. Check out the many glass blowing shops in the area, or head up north to the Lincoln City Outlets. You'll find all sorts of shops and restaurants located alongside Highway 101. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Schooner Creek Retreat for a family vacation. There was plenty of room for 8 adults and 5 kids. The kids loved the loft area with bunk beds. The house has been updated and the inside is very well maintained. The kitchen was spacious and there were all of the appliances you could need including coffee maker, crockpot, instapot etc. The backyard is a work in progress. The firepit was very nice, but the rest of the backyard could use some cleanup. There was a lot of driftwood and some random construction debris that needs to get cleaned up. There was an old greenhouse type structure in the backyard that should be torn down. But even with that we had a lot of fun in the backyard and could even take a small crabbing boat that we brought out on the river when the tide was in. There were two grills, one gas and one charcoal. Both were quite dirty when we arrived, but we were able to clean them up and use them both during our stay. The neighborhood was nice and was close enough to walk to the beach by Mo's. Don't be fooled by the drive in as some of the houses down the road were not as well maintained as this rental. Overview: Pros - Very clean and updated. Spacious. Would definitely stay again. Cons - Could clean up the backyard a little and the grills could be better maintained.

Perfect family reunion spot!

Our family of 16 (kids and grandkids) gathered for a three day reunion in this lovely, well supplied home. It was extremely clean, well supplied with all the kitchen items needed for a large group and we had a blast! We planned our time that happened to coincide with the kite festival so there was plenty to do. The outside fire pit served as a wonderful, casual gathering place in the evening. We definitely would stay here again.

Schooner Creek House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cleaning crew was not finished when the first of our party arrived at 4pm. We arrived at 4:45 & they had just left. The icemaker in the freezer was not working so we called on our first morning there. They said someone would come out. By mid-afternoon no one had arrived so we called again. This time Kyle arrived quite soon. There was a piece missing--they could only let the owner know, but he offered to get a bag or two of ice if we would like. We appreciated that very much. Thanks, Kyle! You were great getting our ice to us so quickly & cheerfully! :-) There are 3 barstools in the dining room. Each of them had a screw missing from a leg...not safe, especially if no one is paying attention. A dining table chair had a leg which had loose screws. Rather unsettling to sit on until repaired (which we were able to do). The master bedroom had no curtain on the installed curtain rod--rather disconcerting to have a feeling no privacy. Also, the mother-in-law unit had no curtain over the kitchen sink & there were no dishtowels there. We had only 4 dishwasher pods, which were used by the end of Day 2. When called, the management company said they only provide 2 days (a starter pack). It would have been nice to have enough for our whole stay of 4 days. Obviously, this information is known before an arrival...or, at the very least, we should have been told that in the "Welcome" info. The carpets on the staircase were dirty/stained. Each bedroom having queen beds & a "private" bathroom available was wonderful! The size of the house was perfect. We also loved the large dining table as all 8 of us were able to sit comfortably around it for meals & games. The creek view was lovely & interesting to watch as tides changed. Location was primo. We would probably come back, but we'll have our eyes open; we would also recommend to friends, along w/ cautionary statements added.

Comfortable spacious house

The house was great for our large group celebrating Thanksgiving. The house needs a little up keeping for some items (seating stools, dinning bench and kitchen utensils) other than that the house was awesome and we had a great time.

The gas barbecue grill was pretty gross so we used the charcoal grill. And the apartment above the garage however was definitely slacked on. Bed was not made, floors were dirty, it didn't have anything for the kitchen including a coffee pot. What kind of mini apartment doesn't have a coffee pot? Though the property management was great when we accidentally locked ourselves out, helped us get the second key to get back inside.

A number of things could have been better, but the house worked for what we wanted to do--hangout in a quiet location with access to water. The yard was in poor shape. We helped improve it. Cobwebs were by the entrance door as well as several other spots. The advertisement made it sound like the master bedroom/ensuite was on the ground floor, but it wasn't. It was upstairs, which created a problem for one couple. The garage was not picked up or clean (a disappointment). Not enough wastebaskets/Kleenex boxes. There should be one in every room. Bedroom upstairs with bed on floor had a dirty boxspring. Mother-in-law suite over garage had no supplies. We furnished everything for it. Musty odor when we first opened the house--had to air it out. Two blinds needed repair, which we did. Fire pit outside was poorly maintained. The riverfront needs to be cut back and a landing for kayaks/canoes needs to be created. This house and yard needs a lot of TLC! If someone would fix the things mentioned, this house has real potential to be a great property. Despite the issues we would recommend this house.

Great for Large Families

We had a wonderful stay and the house was just like how it was advertised. There were a few wear and tear things that we had noticed during our stay, but it didnt hinder us from enjoying our time there. We liked that the house was just out of town because it was quiet and peaceful with the beach and the city center/outlet mall just minutes away. The house fit our needs wonderfully with plenty of room for our large family (12 of us) to spread out and have our own spaces. We would highly recommend this rental to future guests!

Got an illegal eviction on the day of my dads 60th

. I was booked at your location 12-18-20 through 12-21-20. Today two people from your company came onto the property without consent. Your employees issued me an illegal eviction and gave me one hour to leave the premises. They said I was in violation of my rental agreement and that I had over the allowable 5 car limit. No where in my rental agreement did it state that I was only allowed 5 cars. We were having breakfast, and had family members visiting from another time share rental in town. We were forced to rush to get all of our items out clean the house and pack up breakfast in an hour. There was absolutely no legal basis to evict us and threaten us with law enforcement. Furthermore, the water heater was out. A technician came out to fix it and was unable to do so. So we were unable to take showers. You offered a 25% discount for the inconvenience. The management company that oversees this property is horrible. Im still waiting for them to respond to me about not having hot water or a reimbursement for being illegally evicted

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely home with lots of towels and kitchen items. Beautiful view outside across the river and then the dense woods. We had a deer visit one day. One bedroom was small, lights were messsed up and smoke detector was pulled out. The railing on one the entrances had been removed making it very dangerous for the kids to fall off. There dirty, sticky spots in the dining area on the floor, which I scrubbed before my children arrived. There was dirt under some furniture on on some windows. Out side the spider webs and spiders and dust were prolific. I cleaned a few of those. There is also poison ivy all over in the trees on the side. I couldn't believe it could really be that at our house and wasn't careful. However, I was very sorry. Glad my daughter was a nurse. All in all a good place for a vacaation, it just needs to be cleaned a little better. the garage with the ping pong game was so dirty. We were about 1/2 mile to the beach and Mo's
