There were several issues with the property. To start, the photographs online are false advertising—they do not accurately reflect the current state of the property. The home was dirty throughout, especially the carpets and outdoor areas. The pool was dirty and the backyard was unusable due to overgrowth and bug infestation. The front stairs were covered in mildew and hazardous to walk on. The bed in the master bedroom was just a mattress on the ground with no bed frame. One of the beds upstairs had a detached headboard that fell on the bed when our guests got in the bed at night. The TV in that bedroom didn’t work, and the closet door was off the hinges. The knobs in one upstairs bathroom were falling off. The light above the stairs leading to the attic could not be turned off. Several electrical sockets sparked, and some didn’t work at all. And several vents and bathrooms had mold. The downstairs bathroom was unusable due to bugs and mold, and the downstairs bedroom was infested with bugs. Two toilets in the house were loose off the wall. Half of the garage was full of junk. When we contacted property management to report our issues, they were not at all accommodating. We had several pre-booked excursions and were not going to be at the property during the limited hours they reportedly had available to make repairs, and when we told them this, they were rude. And the managers only seemed concerned about the broken headboard and none of the other issues.
