We sincerely hope that you and your family are doing well and staying positive while we ride out this situation together-but apart.

On May 15th 2020, the BC Provincial Health Officer, began allowing British Columbians to enjoy some of the freedoms that we used to have, as long as we stay within the guidelines that have been implemented.

NOTE: We Have Covid-19 Protocols in Place:
Once you book your stay, we the property owners, will contact you through the VRBO or Home AWAY messenger system or by email and we will require you to complete a Covid-19 Declaration form, that will need to be signed by all parties staying in the suite. The form consists of basic health questions and your recent travel history.

If you are arriving from outside of Canada, you are required by law
to quarantine for 14 days. WE WILL NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO STAY HERE THAT WILL BE REQUIRED TO QUARANTINE.

We will accept non-BC residents as guests, as long as you meet the requirements on the Covid-19 Declaration and that upon arrival, you self-assess and confirm that your health is the same as it was on the date that you signed the Covid-19 Declaration. We reserve the right to decline visitors to our suite based on recent health and travel history.

We can assure you that on top of our usual diligent cleaning that Covid-19 Protocols have also been implemented to ensure you a clean and safe environment here at Waterloo Gardens.

You will be expected to adhere to the current Provincial COVID-19 restrictions as set out by our health officer and Premier.

Please note: We have ZERO tolerance for smoking. In fact, due to severe allergy, we do not even permit smokers to stay here. The entire suite and property are non-smoking-Thanks!

Lovely Garden Oasis

We enjoyed our time in the Garden Suite. It was the perfect location for us in a quiet neighborhood. The suite was well appointed and light. Catherine was a helpful guide to restaurants and was always responsive.

A Gem in Victoria

The property was immaculately cleaned, well stocked and comfortable. The location in an East Saanich neighborhood was quiet and relaxing with a beautiful backyard patio. Easy access to downtown, Butchart Gardens, Lochside Trail and so much more. The communication with Cathie was fantastic. Thank you for a very pleasant stay!

An oasis of repose and restoration

A slice of heaven. In addition to the suite having everything you could need for an away from home stay - it faces on a miniature lush, exquisitely tended and quiet garden. Our host was terrific- available and helpful with any questions or requests. The suite is within a pleasant walk or short drive of many Victoria sights and scenes. Highly recommend.

The house was in a beautiful area with a lovely garden to look out on. The hostess was friendly and welcoming. The suite itself had everything we needed and was so clean and comfortable! We couldn't have chosen a better place. One of the best accommodations we've ever had.

This unit is clean, quiet and close to everything near Victoria. It’s fully equipped and looks out onto a very nicely landscaped yard. The owner quickly responded to an questions we had.

It was an amazing stay! We love here!

The place is wonderful and even much better than we expected! Room is clean and tidy, furniture and facilities are perfectly fit. This place gives you privacy but a convenience location. This was the first time we visited Victoria and this place just like our home in Victoria. Cathie and Ron are so nice and friendly giving us "family-feel". We will certainly visit Victoria again to see our son who is studying in Victoria and undoubtedly this place will be our first choice! I would also express my gratitude to Cathie and Ron offer special treats to my son and drove my wife to downtown when I am away. So happy we booked here!

We stayed at the Garden Suite for 5 nights and we couldn’t have found a more perfect spot. It is one of the few online rentals I’ve made that looks exactly like the pictures on the listing. It is “IKEA”-style furnished, with clean, modern, simple decor and cabinetry. The kitchen is the best stocked kitchen with almost every gadget you might want for cooking or baking (including a salad spinner!) Even the knives are sharp and the silverware is good quality. There is ample room in refrigerator and freezer for food and drinks. We were taking a 3 day class in a neighboring area, and loved being able to enjoy breakfast en-suite before heading out. Cathie even accommodated our gluten-free request and provided some items for breakfast for the first morning. There is a nice table and chairs (no cheap plastic ones here!) outside on the patio and it was warm enough one morning to have breakfast outside and enjoy the beautiful garden and trees. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well, thanks also to the quietness of the neighborhood and the hosts who live upstairs. We appreciated having laundry facilities to do a load before we headed up to the Comox Valley for a few days. The city was also easy to navigate (with Google maps) and we headed downtown most every evening to enjoy the delicious food that Victoria has to offer. The studio apartment was very clean, thanks to Cathie who takes care of that herself because she has such high standards. One can tell that she has made the Garden Suite a place where she would choose to stay on vacation! Being environmentally conscious (they provide recycling and composting info), they have motion detector lights that come on when approaching their garage and then side stairs and entry to the studio apartment below. My only suggestion, since we arrived in the dark and most evenings came back in the dark, is to have a garage light that stays on, so one can see to walk in the driveway. I highly recommend this property and we will definitely rebook should we find ourselves in Victoria in the future!

Hidden Gem

The hosts were overly accomodating as we were welcomed by homemade scones and jam and numerous other items in the refigerator left for us. The suite was immaculate and ever so cozy. A beauiful view out our window of their well kept garden. We couldn't of had a better experience anywhere else. Next time we return to Victoria I'm hoping we are fortunate that Ron & Cathie will have an availability. I gjve our stsy a 10 out of 10

Charming, fabulously quiet garden retreat

We were welcomed as soon as we stepped on the property and treated to a lovely garden view from our charming apartment. It is an open concept unit with a sleeping nook, a comfortable living room area and a very well-equipped kitchen area with eating counter and stools. There are also washing facilities. The hosts had anticipated our wishes, supplied breakfast food and were willing to assist with information. I wholeheartedly recommend this unit.

Victoria blooming

A quiet garden cottage just north of the city, this modern residence is a clean, comfortable oasis, with easy access up and down the Saanich Peninsula. Owner put a lot of thought into this property, making our visit both carefree and cozy. Highly recommended!

Perfect for what we were looking for!

The place was so clean and even had some everyday items left for our use in the kitchen (including milk, fruit, coffee, tee and bread). The out door garden in amazing. Would definitely book this place again. Cathie and Ron were very accommodating.
