About Rick

I've lived in Atlanta area since 1999. This cabin was purchased new in 2007 and has been on a rental program since then. I am only 1 1/2 hours from the cabin so I constantly check in when it's not rented and make sure things are in order.

Rick purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Rick chose Blue Ridge

This cabin sits at the end of the rode behind a privacy gate that only has one other cabin. No other cabins across the river. You can enjoy a lot of privacy and tranquility.

What makes this cabin unique

Sitting on the screened porch with a wood burning fire while listening to the river below.

Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

Our family could not have been more pleased with the first class amenities and overall comfort of this cabin. It has something for everybody. It is tastefully decorated and fun. Great thought apparently has been put into all the extra touches. If you have well behaved dogs (especially labs) they will be in absolute heaven here, as ours were.

The surrounding area is filled with activities from shopping to whitewater rafting and everything in between, we had a blast and hope to return one day to finish what we didn't get to.

Good fishing on the Toccoa. Fishing at the cabin would best be done by floating or boat due to deep holes and limited bank access.

"Pickin in the Park" at Horseshoe Park in McCayesville was one of our favorites, but the Blue Ridge Train and day trip to Dahlonega were also must do's.

Whether quiet and relaxing or non stop action and adventure, if you don't have a good time here it will be your own fault. Two thumbs and all paws up on this one.

Lovely getaway

  • 4 of 5

My family of 6 and our dog had a lovely stay at this cabin. We stopped first at the first cabin beyond the gate, but quickly figured out we needed to drive just a little beyond. Kay and Rick were accessible and helpful throughout. Once we arrived, we found the cabin very well stocked with everything we needed. It was clean, and we all enjoyed the air hockey table and the pool table. We loved the fire pit and the fireplace on the porch. McCaysville and Blue Ridge were both accessible, and we went on some great hikes in the area. Thanks so much for your hospitality!

Wonderful long weekend trip...

  • 5 of 5

First day back from our long weekend to the mountains and couldn't wait to share the experience... we are already talking about when we can go back. The owners have thought of everything and the cabin is exceptionally decorated with the best of everything. The difficulty was balancing the desire to see the sights but being tempted to just stay at the cabin and enjoy all to do there. We spent most of the time on the outdoor porch, and while we had plenty of options... we never turned on the TV. My son and his girlfriend fished each day in the creek, while I sat by a fire. Thank you Kay and Rick for sharing your mountain home.

Had a blast!

  • 5 of 5

This review is so late as we stayed there in May of 2016 for my husband's birthday . Oops, but did not want to pass up a chance to say how much we enjoyed ourselves! The cabin is beautifully decorated, comfortable with everything we needed to make it an awesome time! We spent family time on the screened porch and enjoyed the the sounds of the rushing creek. We enjoyed playing the games on the lower level! Kay was always available and responsive. We hope to return this year!

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for three nights in October to enjoy the fall scenery. We enjoyed everything about this cabin. It was so nicely decorated, had very nice furniture, and a lot to enjoy. The master bed was THE best! Kitchen was great! Owners are very accessible and very helpful. I would love to visit again and stay a little longer.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for enjoying our little piece of heaven. I have enjoyed great success with this rental and have had the most wonderful guests over the years. Many return for additional trips once having been to Creeknawesome! I love to add decor and we do our best to keep things updated and in good repair. Please do come again.

Great Family Time on Labor Day

  • 4 of 5

My Family and I stayed at the cabin and had just a wonderful time. The creek was perfect for my 7 year old and 2 year old sons. They played on the shore and also would wander out on to the rocks, and loved it.

The cabin it self was quite, cozy, clean and very relaxing.

The screened in porch was my favorite early in the morning having coffee listening to the creek while everyone else slept in, and at night having a nice cozy fire with a glass of wine while listening to the sounds of nature.

The game room was a hit for my kids, my son and husband became really good at pool while at the cabin.

With the city of BlueRidge close by, we did Gem Mining, Putt Putt Golf and Zip Lining.

I would recommend the cabin for any family looking for a nice relaxing time.
