Beautiful View!

We loved the property! So clean and fully stocked plus the corner unit had an amazing ocean view. Super close to Poipu and the AC's were powerful and perfectly chilly. We loved our stay and would 100% be back!

First, it was a good location and the condo is well stocked. We had a little bit of miscommunication with the rental management company as the photo in the listing clearly shows a third bed, but in reality that’s a mistake that they admitted to once we checked in and got us a aerobed, I have attached a picture of what was on the website and what it was in reality, which is really just a couch. A few other issues like the Safe didn’t work, It was already in the locked position. Never really got it resolved. The condo complex was a little run down, and the pool was so-so, but a big positive is as they offer you a pass to the Poipu health club, which has a great pool workout rooms, drinks, and food, it’s like 5-10min down the road by car.

Amazing views

Beautiful condo with amazing views. Check in was easy. Convenient location close to everything on the southside of the island. We'll be back to stay at Poipu Makai E1 soon.

Oceanfront ground floor end unit with A/C. Not many of those available in Poipu. Sandy beaches and restaurants nearby (short walk or drive). Clean and comfortable. All amenities including beach gear. Did not use pool or club pass to comment.

Great Location

Couldn't be a better location for turtle watching, sunsets, and central to island sightseeing. Would recommend to anyone. Neighbors had the Aloha Spirit.

Wonderful

We had an amazing stay. We had problems with the AC in the second bedroom but the property manager was on top of it before we got there. It wasn’t resolved but she quickly responded. We would definitely stay at this property again. It felt like home.

Unbelievable sunset views. Comfortable unit with full kitchen, makes it easy to stay in and enjoy the incredible location. Very responsive property manager. Would love to stay here again.

Peaceful

This property is fantastic, and the view is amazing! We saw sea turtles swimming right out of our unit. The beds were comfortable, and so was the furniture. The kitchen was stocked nicely. We thought the location of this property was perfect. We were within walking distance of a local beach(less than a mile), and the neighborhood was a great area in which to enjoy my morning walks. I highly recommend this property.

Amazing Property & Views

First thing you’ll see in the reviews is there are a lot of steps to get to the property… but it’s worth it. The space is clean, bright, and the view is gorgeous. You can walk down to a lava rock ledge that overlooks the waves and be able to fall asleep to the sound of them every night. A/c works amazingly, so does the laundry. Only critique I would have is that there is no information on where to take the trash, the couch is uncomfortable, & the directions on which parking lot to use are not good enough. Overall we will 100% book here again on our next stay.

Beautiful view, very comfortable

So many good things to say about this stay. The view was outstanding. Like a postcard. Only drawbacks: couldn't get ahold of PM To unlock the safe, couldn't find the iron and the closets were pretty jam packed, so there weren't many places to hang things (we were here for our wedding). Also, a few more towels would be nice for a long stay. But honestly, these are quibbles, we loved it!

Beautiful Views

From the first step into the unit and seeing that ocean view, we were hooked. Travelling with two young kids, the unit was perfectly equipped with a full kitchen, 2 bathrooms (1 with a tub) and plenty of fans to help circulate air around. The back bedroom can get warm but the fans help a lot. Beach gear is provided - boogie boards, waterproof bags, cooler, even noodles for the pool! Quiet hours were respected and never had an issue with parking onsite. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved this place. The view is outstanding. I loved that it was on the first floor (although there are lots of stairs to negotiate getting to the front door), because the patio is bigger than a lanai, and you can walk out to the edge of the property for more views. We saw dolphins and turtles just off the shore. All the beds were good, and the kitchen was stocked. It’s a half mile walk to Poipu beach. I would stay here again. The only drawback was no AC, but with windows and doors open, and fans, it was OK. We were here I. August, so maybe warmer than usual.

Great location and beautiful view!

The apartment was clean and very well equipped (kitchen, beach towels, beach gear was great). The location was great and had a beautiful view. When we arrived we were surprised to learn there was no A/C and we were very concerned as I did not see it on the listing...I checked the listing again and couldn't find anything except that it had ceiling fans. Turns out that once we opened the windows and turned on the fans (each room had a ceiling and floor fan), it was very pleasant, lots of breeze off the ocean. So we were pleasantly surprised.

Ground floor, walk out to grass, flowers, steps to walkable rock outcrop on the ocean. Sand not required for us. The Poipu Beach Athletic membership was a great surprise, used it & loved it, more than the plunge pool that was also inviting "at home". Great spot for exploring Poipu area and jumping off to Waimea beauty. We appreciated comments about many steps from parking lot, very manageable for spry folks. E 1, Everything 1st class.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I spent three wonderful days in this beautifully renovated, well stocked, comfortable condo. The stunning view could be enjoyed anywhere in the common space or master bedroom as well as the spacious patio outside these 2 rooms. We loved listening to the sounds of the surf day and night, and enjoyed watching the whales and sea turtles every morning. Sunsets on the patio are fabulous. The 2nd bedroom (which we didn’t use) is actually larger than the master, has a small garden patio and is fairly private off a hallway that also houses the large washer and dryer as well as the guest bath. While most 2 bedroom condos everywhere tend to have a tunnel-like common space, this condo’s felt unusually wide and spacious. The complex itself looks dated from the street side, and the pool is very small but don’t let that discourage - this condo is modern, clean, and comfortable. Would love to come back.

Incredible Sunsets and Whale Watching

Pros: Neat, clean and fresh interior. Very comfortable and pleasant Outstanding location for enjoying sunsets as well as whale and turtle watching. Nice kitchen, and big fluffy beach towels. Problems: The fold out twin bed is unusable. The mattress is a small, creased, vinyl covered cot-like thing—definitely not the promised Tempurpedic. Do not plan on anyone over the age of 10 or over 4’ tall sleeping there. Bedding. After we discovered that the fold out bed was unusable, we discovered that no extra bedding was available to help make the sofa more comfortable as an extra bed. When I called the 24 hour management service, I was told nothing could be done about it til morning—this message delivered without apology or courtesy. I quote: “How do you think I can get sheets to you tonight?” Also, on the queen bed there was a single size top sheet which of course didn’t cover the bed. When the sheets were delivered for the sofa, they left 2 fitted sheets with no top sheet, and one sheet was stained. The comforters supplied for all the beds had no covers. We were short one beach towel. The screen door sticks in a very annoying way. You have to reach down and push the bottom of the screen. The ants in the kitchen are quick to appear even if you are very careful. The remote didn’t work for the fan in the secondary bedroom. The closets were stuffed with throw pillows. Heads up for guests: Don't be afraid to walk down to the water in spite of the scary warning sign. It’s a great place to watch the sunset and the turtles. Buy salt and pepper when you stop at the grocery store. Check everything when you arrive so that you can call early in the day for whatever is missing or not working properly. Summary: The location was so special, I would say it’s worth the other inconveniences as long as you don’t count on the sleeper chair for a bed; you check everything as soon as you get there so that you don’t get caught without the basics. Don’t expect a warm response if you call management after hours. Don’t expect much in the way of communication or service.

Pros:The house has a beautiful view and is conveniently located close to everything. The pool club access is also a nice amenity.Cons:The house is older and in need of renovations. While the light fixtures and appliances were functional, many showed visible rust. Towels were worn and some were stained, and we found sand in the couch on arrival. Although housekeeping was sent, the issue was not fully resolved. The host was initially dismissive of our concerns, and while some resolutions were eventually offered, they were not handled in a timely manner. These details detracted from our overall experience and left us disappointed with the stay.

Beautiful views and comfortable condo for us and our teen. Check in and communication were easy. Beds were comfortable. Condo is in a quiet location, so we appreciated that. Enjoyed the close proximity to nearby beaches and local shopping. Regarding parking and stairs- we parked a midsize SUV in the shaded lower level ok and figured out it was easier to walk back out to the garage ramp down some steps that led behind the pool/common area and then finished the steps down to the condo rather than using the enclosed stairwell. We saw several turtles while standing on the grassy area near the hedges. We saw folks down on lava rock but given the swells when we were there, I don’t particularly recommend that, so proceed with caution. Kitchen was well stocked but probably time to replace the non-stick cookware. We bought our own coffee bean grinder but to our surprise the kitchen had one for the serious coffee drinkers. This was a great stay.

Great condo in Poipu! The ground floor end unit is convenient for walks on the lava rocks below. Nicely updated, but the mattress in master could isn't super comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay!
